I can't even begin to describe how much I am disappointed with the TrainMore takeover of SportsWorld. When I've signed up for the gym, I was promised quality/ exclusive services and facilities. And I agreed to pay a somewhat high price for it (~80 EUR per month). In the transition period, however, I had to deal with filthy surfaces, dust, broken lockers and overcrowded space and machines. But of course TrainMore was gladly accepting my high fees. The level of service and treatment I received was definitely not what I have been promised or paying for. I've contacted the company to make a complaint and terminate my contract but received a response that they will not do it, claiming these nuances are a necessary part of their improvements. In my view. the company has NOT made sufficient efforts to keep the place convenient for its members during the renovation period. Specifically, the place doesn't need to be dirty all the time (e.g. bathrooms) and you can easily ensure the hairdryers are working properly. In the end, TrainMore simply stopped answering my emails and kindly sent me payment request for the remaining months + reminder charges, threatening to involve debt collecting agencies... If this is the level of customer appreciation and respect TrainMore has for its members, I'm gladly signing out. The gym market is big enough to offer more worthy options.

Absolutely beautiful gym! Friendly and nice staff as well! This place has all the equipment you will ever need and also offers group high intensity classes and private coaching as well. This black label location offers coffee machine and protein shakes included in your membership price making it a great deal. My one and most crucial issue here is air quality and temperature. The gym is currently in January blowing freezing air through the vents, making it quite uncomfortable to even be here and of course to sweat and workout comfortably. Any other business in the Netherlands has heating functioning properly. Not here. I have complained to management and host staff repeatedly over now 3 weeks and all I hear is "they are working on it". Not good enough for a gym that prides itself on being the best and also charging us a top rate. I am tired of coming here and being cold. To add to this, the quality of the air is horrendous. There are dust particles everywhere in the air as if the dutcs and filters have not been cleaned in ages. You can see it in the air in any of the areas of the gym, and we are breathing it all in. I simply do not understand. This is unhealthy and unnecessary. I will update this review when and if the issue is resolved.

Spacious well-designed gym on several floors. Mostly Technogym equipment. But looks don't say everything. Can become crowded. The locker room is usually chaotic, with lockers not working. Price to quality value is OK.

Staff super friendly, gym is clean and nice atmosphere. But they are taking away boxing and the activities from TrainMore which in my eyes is what made TrainMore unique, you might as well join basic fit for a way lower price because they taking the good away so it’ll just be a basic gym only difference is the aesthetics.

Train more promises a lot but the app won't work. I inquired months ago when it would be working and still it isn't working. This way you can't check your own visits. Pretty annoying while paying an expensive membership this is not being fixed. Free drinks including your black label membership??? I haven't seen the drinks?? Free personal training session??? I haven't been offered. It all adds up to the point that i don't trust the management of this chain....great marketing to get you to sign up but poor customer service as soon as you are member. I won't extend my membership end of the year solely for this reason. The gym is great, with steam and sauna after it is quite relaxing. But after the summer renovation the steam sauna will be out unfortunately. Dressing room is quite dirty with lots of dust balls on the floor, make sure to bring you flip flops.

Very disspointed with customer service at trainmoore. I left my membership back in March due to me moving country, gave train moore my one months notice. Confirmed by tainmoore that me leaving netherlands was allowed under my contact they cannceld my membership. magine my suprise for demanding/threating letter for nearly 80 euros! No phone number to contact them on, Staff via email appear to have little to no english and their dutch is just as bad (guessing they are using over sea centers). Overall very disspointed with the change in Ownership back in 19 followed by complete change in tone of gym.

Extremely rude staff, very busy gym with no respect to distance. Staff rolls their eyes at you if you try to explain their own mistake written online about timing - worst customer service I’ve ever experienced, do not go here if you value being treated with even an ounce of respect.

All you need to know: they are dilute their 'free flavoured drinks', last time it was just pure water (and I'm not mentioning how did they treat customers during corona lockdown times). Not sure that I'm going to prolong my membership.

Went this morning at the desk and realized how rude, and cocky the girl was when receiving me. First experienced I had so far in a gym where sport should bring a positive customer service experience instead of rudeness and negatives vibes. So I am happy I did not subscribed.

The staff is so horribly rude. I was a bit shocked how they “talk” to people, that is if you are acknowledged!!! Most the staff just ignore you all together. Must be a terrible place to work… :(

Absolutely love this gym! Has a very modern feel to it and a great variety of different machines / weights. Big bonus is the sauna which has a great temperature. Can definitely recommend!

It's nice that feedback is being addressed

Boiling water at the showers for weeks now, and no change despite many complaints from clients. At a time of energy moderation, it is even more unacceptable… Gym is being remodeled every year with less and less equipment… Staff is nice but unable to assist on most queries, re-routing to an email address. Prices have increased substantially, so definitely expecting an improvement in return.

The gym itself is nice, but unfortunately TrainMore is just a nightmare. If there is any issue with your account (for example incorrect direct debit almost every month) the floor staff is useless and can only tell you to contact customer service. Customer service is trash tier, there is no phone number and any emails you send are ignored. If you can, pick another gym!

Protein shake machine is a wash. Empty promise of free shakes. Machine has been broken since I registered two weeks ago. Installing multiple working machines due to high demand seems like a simple solution to me?

I don’t understand why they have spotlights shining directly onto where people’s eyes are when using equipment. For example, when you bench press…your eyes are staring directly into the spotlight. I see people wearing sun glasses or benching with their eyes closed. If they fixed this by changing the position of equipment or angle of lights then the gym would be perfect.

Very nice and relaxed place, clean and well organized. I have always felt welcome and safe (especially in corona times!). The building is fantastic, the spaces are large and clean, the staff is always helpful and caring. Definitely one of the best gyms I've ever been to!

For this price per month - €69 ,this gym should be a bit cleaner incl toilets, paper dispensers should be always full and garbage bins empty. Airco in de gym is so high that every time coming back I have neck pain issues but ok maybe is just me in this case.

This is the the 3rd gym I have been to. I really like the attention I get from MOST of the staff. Professional & knowledgeable sales & training personnel. Great combination of group classes, Excellent squash facilities that really engages me with other members, wellness, restaurant and the ambiance that you feel training in an historic monument. I have trained in many gym's but this offers one of a kind . I've taken the spinning and yoga classes as well and the hours are perfect for me. The group instructors are a good example, helpful and friendly. Its a happening gym throughout the day with different kinds of age group. Fortunately not filled with students. What really attracts me the most is after an effective workout, i could unwind myself and enjoy taking a seat at the grand cafe. The menu card highlights an organic healthy meal and drink assortiments. The Fresh & go meal is an ideal option for me if i have to rush to the gym after long day of work. And it comes with a reasonable price. I would recommend anyone to be a part of this real Amsterdam characteristic gym.

It’s been almost 4 years since I’m a member at TrainMore Oost. I have to admit that they spend a lot on re-designing that gym, mostly for nothing. It’s mostly about showing off rather than making it functional really. Also meanwhile they are doing works almost every month they were not able to manage to make basic things work properly such as the showers (the water is literally boiling) or the hairdryer (that is broken every second week). Basically part of the service isn’t fully available while when it comes to payment I’m getting debited always on time of course. Should I just say that I’m using a platinum AmEx (just to make it look nicer) but allow to get only part of the membership debited every month? Because basically that’s what is happening on their side. Showing and promising too much, delivering only some part of it.

I have been an occasional customer last year and then became regular since September as I started working out with the personal trainer Julia. The gym is very spacious, spread over 3 floors and has all the machines you want. Sometimes it happened that there were some leaks but over time it was fixed. I really liked having a sauna next to the showers and the free protein shakes but what I liked even more is the people! Everyone from the staff is very kind and helps whenever possible. Julia, my personal trainer has been amazing with me!! She’s very knowledgeable and makes working out fun! Pity that I moved otherwise I would have kept going.

Unique experience! We came from Italy and we’ve traveled a lot but we’ve never seen such an incredible place! The gym is amazing, very very big, machines are new and the spaces are all very clean. We wanted to thanks Michael for his kindness, we remembered this beautiful gym especially for him. Such an amazing guy and a super experience. We’ll come back for sure

Thank you for asking me to write a review for TrainMore! I hadn't shared my opinion on this until now, so I appreciate the opportunity. I've been training at TrainMore Black Label Oostport for a little over a year, and I genuinely enjoy it. The facilities are extensive and spacious, and there are enough machines available that even during busy times, you can always find an alternative to complete your workout without excessive waiting. I also appreciate the recent renovations in the building, from the entrance to the coffee corners and the free shake machine, even though I personally don't use it as I fast during my workouts. Nevertheless, I acknowledge the improvement. I'd also like to give a shout-out to the front desk personnel. They are consistently friendly, and although most of us have earplugs in and can't hear their farewells, it's a nice touch that I appreciate. The range of personal trainers at the gym is also a strong point - they are knowledgeable and friendly. I had a great session with Joel once, which was very beneficial at the time. As you can see, I'm a satisfied customer, but I always believe there's room for improvement. I hope you take my feedback as sportingly as we all are in the gym. Regarding cleanliness, there's a significant opportunity for improvement, especially in the higher areas of the gym, like the roof support, walls, and other hanging fixtures. Dust has accumulated over the years, which can be unpleasant for those with allergies, particularly considering the air conditioning systems. I wish more attention could be given to there areas Another concern is the volume of the music, particularly the bass, which can sometimes be excessively loud. This makes it less enjoyable to listen to your own music. I've spoken to the staff about it twice, and they were kind enough to lower the volume temporarily, but they explained that it's part of the gym's identity to have loud music. I understand that, but sometimes you just want to enjoy your own music. Fortunately, I've found a solution in noise-canceling earplugs. To summarize, I would rate TrainMore with a four stars for its location, space, facilities, desk personnel, and machines. Update on September 30th: I happy to say that after my review they have fixed the bench press! THANK YOU TRAINMORE! It’s very much appreciated!!!

Excellent gym! Tons of classes to follow. Nice relax environment. Sauna and steam bath all all in. All rooms are nicely ventilated. Great club to be a member of. I really like the fact that there is always someone available to push you further, in case you are missing self motivation like I am. They have as well nice apps for your phone to play with and find squash partner, etc.

Good gym with latest equipment but they need to work on the small things like making sure there's paper towel in the dispensers in the bathroom. There's also a shortage of the clips that you use to secure the weights onto the bar - I always have to walk around the gym looking for these.

The equipment is really new and constantly improved. However, the classes are overbooked and it will get too full at certain times for one to get a session in. So overall it’s only recommended to go here if one doesn’t mind waiting or has enough free time to go at random hours.

Very good gym. Renovated recently. Lots of machines great brand new cardio machines. Good showers, sauna, boxing area. Bar when you can grab food after training.

Otherwise an awesome gym, but the little things are somehow always off e.g. the protein shake machine has worked about 20% of the time since the free shakes were announced. Just feels a little cheap if the "cups are out" for a week in a row considering the membership fee.

Absolutely huge gym. Don’t think there’s a bigger one in Amsterdam. Lots of machines, lots of weights, lots of squat racks. The dumbbells go till 50kg, which is nice

The best gym I’ve ever been to. And I have been to many gyms in many countries. Really has everything you might want. Reviews that give 1-2 stars for minor sht really sound like those people are quite entitled. Don’t pay attention. The equipment is plentiful, staff are lovely, it really is an adult playground

It's an beautiful old industrial building that has been converted into traning centre & few restaurants near Amsterdam oostport Gemeente, its give relaxing with sitting & enjoying your lunch or dinner next to canal.

Beautiful, clean and staff members are very helpful. It was my first time, but definitely not the last. It was not so busy, which is fantastic for introvert like me.

Great gym with an absolutely huge gym floor and levels. Varied and multiple selections of weights so I rarely found myself waiting. Nice changing area and sauna. Only issue for me is there’s only one water station and it’s on the ground floor. Surely you can install one on the gym floor!

My friend and I are here on holiday and this is the best gym we’ve ever been to by far. The environment is so friendly and inviting, and everyone is so nice and accommodating. Any type of gym equipment or machine that you can think of, they have it. Dionne Michael at the front desk was incredibly helpful in getting us checked in and making us feel like we were part of the community there. Wish I could give them more than 5 stars. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

The gym isn’t safe when it comes to your property several shoes are stolen from the men’s locker room. Nothing has been done to prevent it. Not even signs to alert that is heavy theft.

This is certainly the best gym in Amsterdam! It is huge, well equipped and very good structured. Anyone can easily and comfortably workout. I practiced my Olympic Weightlifting exercises perfectly. And staff are the best! (:

Great gym, with a lot of equipment on 3-4 floors. The machines are all from TechnoGym and there is plenty of variations. The staff is very kind and broken machines get fixed quite fast. The showers and the sauna are not the cleanest but apart from that a great gym.

This gym is 11/10. With membership free coffee and free protein shakes, all the staff are amazing especially the Manager and the Assistant Manager. Couldn’t recommend more!

We are visiting from the U.S. the staff was very welcoming and spoke great English to help us get started. Anyone looking for a great gym that is clean and has all the weights/machines you need I highly recommend this place! True gym rats, this is home. Really worth going out of your way to work out here. Not only is the gym well equipped but their meals ready to eat are on point!

Disgusting management, raising my subscription fee to more than double what I previously paid. Ive been a loyal customer for years and this is how they treat you apparently.

Went here once. It's a nice gym, but personally for me it's a bit too dark (and too far away but I just wanted to have a look). Feels like you're training in a dark night club. There could be more lighting.

10/10 gym! I’ve lifted in many different gyms throughout the world and this is easily a top 5. Super clean, tons of machines, and space. I am traveling from out of the country and was easily able to buy a day pass. (Shoutout to Nico for helping me!) I will be back while I’m here

I've been a member for some years going back to the days before TrainMore took over. The gym has really improved over the years with excellent equipment and good workout spaces. The (free) drinks dispenser and coffee machine are a really nice touch. The staff are friendly and helpful. I'm an old geezer and have never felt out of place gyming amongst a more youthful crowd than me.

It's a great gym, what else can I tell you...
