    We fly from malaysia to the netherland for tulips but because of sixt we waste our ticket and miss our tulips. On 19th April 2023 we rented ur electric car so that we can drive to giethoorn and Keukenhof to enjoy the beauty of the Netherland. However, the car was not in a good condition as one of the side screen was broken and they replace it with some plastic so we didn’t realise it at the start. On the other side the person in charge didnt give us the charging card and told us that the car can go for 400km without additional charging. When we reached giethoorn we found out that the battery left 51% with just a 110km journey. So we start finding a place for charging but realised that we can’t charge without that charging card. I decided to call the service line using my roaming that i need to pay for afterwards. I called twice and they didn't give a useful solution nor helped me to find that card. So we spent the whole day to figure out how to get back to the central station with the 51%. We try to ssrach for help from the people around us and we found 2 foreigners that are willing to help us to use their card to pay, we gave them 50 euros just for 10% of charging which only cost 3euros. We wasted the keukenhof ticket as we cant reach there. This is the last day of us in Netherland and we are spending our time for the tour of every charging stations in the Netherland and thats what i ll remember of when i recall my trip in the Netherland in the future.

    Less than 24 hour before my pick up, I got a text saying there weren’t any vehicles available, so not sure what the purpose of a reservation is. Tried texting back and no response, no additional info, no alternative options. They have designed it to where it is very difficult to call them or get in contact with them if you have any issue. Finally got someone on the phone from central office and he tried to contact the branch and couldn’t get them to answer his calls either. You heard that right, their own company couldn’t even get ahold of anyone. Ridiculously bad business operation.

    SCAM. I paid for premium suv in advance. Got there 11:30 while I wrote I will be there in 9:00. They said it's too late and gave my car to someone else even when I paid in advance. Have me a Citroën instead (not premium) and actually charged extra! Wouldn't recommend book your care elsewhere

    I rented a truck from Sixt on 29.10.2023. First off the positive: The agent at the service desk was friendly, competent and most of all fast. Now to the reason why I rate the overall experience with one star: The pick up spot for cars is actually about a 15-20 minute walk from the service desk at the central station. That means that you reserve the car, pay for it, pick up the keys at the central station and only then are you presented with a QR code that you have to scan with your phone, just to find out that you have to walk about 1 kilometer to get to the car. This is outrageous to say the least. If you just arrived at Centraal with 3 suitcases, I suggest that you insist on having the car delivered to the service desk. Additionally, when returning the car I dropped the key in the key-box, which is a service they offer, and the return was not registered. I therefore received an e-mail and subsequently, the next working day, a call from the agent to ask if I returned the car too late. Fortunately, he was able to resolve the issue in the system without any proof on my side and no additional charges incurred.

    Cancelled the reservation 50min before the pickup. In addition, they were not helpful in finding an alternative. After contacting the customer support they said I should book a car at another of their locations outside the city for more than 2x the amount of the original car. With such a short notice one practically can’t find an alternative. Very unprofessional. In short: One of the worst experiences I had with car rentals in europe so far. Cannot recommend this to anyone.

    They are the worst rent a car company. They will cancel your booking if u late 60 mins of the stated time for pick up. Although, the representative said its in the conditions, he couldn’t show it up for me from the website. He was kind but this is completely unacceptable unwritten policy! They will screw your whole plans. TRUST ME TRY ANOTHER CAR RENTAL COMPANY.

    Great experience renting and driving an EV for the first time. Would not hesitate renting another. Check in was great but a bit disappointed with the distance to walk with suitcases from reception at the train station to pick-up the car. Also unfortunate that there we no charging station cards available(would have made it easier for a first timer) at this location but we made it work well just the same.

    We arrived at your post at the agreed time for the rental - 08AM, and the service colleague says that the colleague is late and doesn't know when he will arrive and for us to do what we want, wait or leave. We asked if we were going to get a refund because of this delay and the employee arrogantly says no. unbelievable, very bad service!

    DO NOT use this rental car company if you are picking up at Amsterdam Centraal. We did not learn our lesson and have tried this 3 times now with a massive issue every time. There is a 12 minute walk between the rental office and vehicle pickup location (very annoying with luggage) and no shuttle, and the vehicle pickup garage is IMPOSSIBLE to find, even with the provided instructions.

    I had a Wonderful rental experience with SIXT. This is demonstrated by its profesional, friendly and amazing agent at Ams central; Mr. Amin with his excellent English verbal communication skills. From the moment I reached out with a brief inquiry, he was responsive, extremely knowledgeable, not only about the vehicle itself, but in walking me through the entire rental process. His attention to detail and my satisfaction was unparalleled going above and beyond in every aspect. Wait time to pick up the car was very little and the car was immaculate with all of the perks. Final invoice and deposit refund received on time set. With such a great company that focuses always on customer, I will surely recommend anyone to book with them.

    I recently rented a car from Sixt at Amsterdam Centraal Station and I am extremely satisfied with the service I received. The location of the rental office is very convenient and easy to find, right at the station. The customer service representative, Youssra, was exceptional. She was friendly, professional and went out of her way to ensure that I got the best rental car for my needs. She patiently answered all my questions and made the whole process very smooth and hassle-free. Her attention to detail and customer care was greatly appreciated. The car itself was in excellent condition and very clean. It was exactly what I needed for my trip and I had no issues whatsoever. The whole rental process was straightforward, and the return of the car was just as easy. Overall, I highly recommend Sixt for car rentals and specifically the Amsterdam Centraal Station location. The excellent service provided by Youssra made my experience even better and I will definitely use Sixt again in the future. Thank you, Youssra and Sixt team, for making my car rental experience a great one!

    We rented a Mercedes E Class and the car was amazing. But you shouldn’t forget the refuelling because they have a 75€ penalty… Too much. Really recommended place to rent a car.

    Amazing cars, excellent service, friendly treatment every time. I strongly recommend the Central Station office, I'm renting cars here since 2008 and I always got a Great experience. Reading the negative feedback, I would suggest everyone to start reading, because the most of the issues described are related to consumers not reading the agreement. Be a Linux user 😉 start reading

    Rented an Electric car with them for Europe trip every thing was excellent car was perfect and almost brand new highly recommended, pikup and drop was smooth they delivered as promised. Will surely rent with them in near future.

    Gave a completely different segment car to what I had booked.. Booked a higher segment car and got a car of the lower segment without even a refund of the additional amount paid. Real pathetic service from Sixt

    Great people helped me rent a great car! Super price. Super easy. Super clean. Car was basically new. Drove 3600 miles without a hiccup. Understand now why they’ve been making people happy for 112 years! Keep up the great work!

    Saturday 2nd of September, i booked for 24:00 and paid in advance and received a confirmation by email. Then i arrived this morning and the car has been given to someone else already because i arrived late !!!! They tried to sell me a luxurious vehicle that i have to pay !!! This is booked and paid for 24 hours and no car!!!! I am a regular customer of sixt in France. Dont go to Sixt central station this is scam. To day i need this car to move someone and i am in trouble now. Worst ever service… go away….

    One of the worst experience I had to go through with a rental company First I could not take the car that I booked online because my visa card wasn't "physically" with me although they accepted the payment "online"!!! I was stuck in their office with my wife and luggage, then the (lady) luckily interviened and offered us a another car. At this point I had no options and had to accept anything. I was downgraded from a premium BMW premium car automatic shift to a compact with a manual shift (For an 8 hour drive to Munich!!!) which costed more I DON'T KNOW HOW?!! Now comes the worst part, after finishing all the paperwork the car wasn't brought in, NO NO you have to walk about 1 KM with luggage go down and find a a guy in parking lot to pickup the car God luck with your SIXT

    Worst experience! Once we returned our vehicle, I remembered that I forgot my camera in the car. I called them multiple times just for their customer service team to tell me there was still no updates and gave me an email address to contact. Once I received a response, they're claiming there is no camera. I can guarantee one of the workers stole it, knowing that it's a valuable. I was positive I left it in the vehicle and I'm disappointed that I gave business to this company only to have them not return a camera I left behind.

    After doing the paperwork and being assigned a car, the guy at the counter gave me a map and some directions to the car itself; "walk down this street, across and under that bridge turn left at the Starbucks and it's on your left at this address" (this while I'm holding a cane for my bad leg) I walked, and walked, and walked and found nothing, no address posted, no entrance, no SIXT signing. I called SIXT and got no answer. In desperation I went into the DoubleTree hotel where a very nice concierge took pity upon me and pointed me down into a garage where I walked another half mile and found a little booth (with no one in it.) Finally, a guy came up to me and helped me. When I returned the vehicle, the little spring-loaded key return slot was jammed. Me and another family tried desperately to open it, called SIXT (no answer), ultimately, I jammed the key return slot back and forth with such force that it came free, and I deposited my key and limped away, glad to be free of SIXT forever!

    Very bad treatment by the receptionists, they were rude in dealing not only with me but with all the customers I met while I was there. She canceled everyone's reservations and even made a new reservation. She did not accept my reservation and she was canceling all reservations. I booked a medium class car and she wanted to give me a class car. Small or to pay for the large car I told her my reservation was a medium car she told me I was 5 minutes late and my reservation was canceled I told her I would pay she told me not to leave there are no cars

    Worst experience we have ever had: payed for the car insurance that we SPECIFICALLY did not ask. So 400EUR completely waisted. Plus when we returned the car, there was no one from the staff. WE had to leave the car close by and got charged 100EUR for the parking, which had nothing to do with us. We RETURNED the car on time, now we have to pay extra for the fact that someone decided to leave work earlier? They also gave us a different car than we first reserved (already gave to another person). They told us they did not know how this happened.All was extremely disappointing.
