    I have been using Lassus dentists for several years by now, but this year things turned out exceptionally bad. First I have lost my front crown (that I had made by another dentist many years ago) and I came to Lassus to get a new one. From the very beginning I was flabbergasted by the slow scheduling process and super long waiting times. In general, their approach of scheduling multiple tiny appointments for a job that should be normally done in one or two max. is slowing things down enormously and leads to additional problems. In my case, since I was left without that crown for more than a month, I have a lost its neighboring one too - I'm dead sure it could have been saved if they would have acted quicker. Now, after more than three months and 12 (!) appointments I have finally got my two new crowns (with the color being off!) placed last Saturday... only for one of them to break and fall off less than 12 hours (!) after installation. When I asked for an urgent appointment to get it placed back, I heard that the very first opportunity is on Friday. NEVER AGAIN. UPD: The second crown has lasted for three days. What a joke!

    I have had several unpleasant experiences with this dentist office, including receptionists who input my appointments incorrectly in the system, long wait times upon arrival, careless procedures, and expensive costs. The cleanings are aggressive and painful (one time a hygienist accidentally scraped off my tooth bonding, exposing my gums), and the dentists always seem rushed, and they don’t often focus on delivering quality results. Another time, the dentist applied resin composite to my tooth in a jagged way and it did not match my actual tooth color - it was supposed to be a temporary trial, but the dentist was unable to remove/renew it. Two years later, it’s still affixed to my tooth, and it does not feel smooth at all. Today I traveled all the way to this dentist office (from a different city) for a simple cleaning and check-up appointment - I am 9 months pregnant and specifically made this appointment today so that I could get it out of the way before my baby arrives. Turns out, the receptionist accidentally inputted my appointment for one month later and they had no availability today, so they asked me to return on a different day. This is not the first time this happened. Glad that I finally made the decision to switch practices. I will not return to this dentist office again!

    Scammers! I got my tooth extraction here, after that got a crazy bill. They ask 26 Euros to "just look" at the photo of your mouth which was taken by them before. The photo was already open when I went into the room and we didn't even look at the photo with the doctor. So they got money last year to take photo of my teeth, and now they ask money again to look at the photo which was already taken by them! Not only this, they ask 60 Euros to make the room ready for you. Okay, but what was actually done specifically for me? Nothing! The room was just a standard room they already have, but according to them they prepared the room for me... I wish I could see what has been done there! It was just a standard room which they should naturally have to perform their job! And now got a bill for 160Euro, side works cost more than the actual work done... No one answers the phone, no one returns back to e-mails, strangely it was very easy to reach them to make the appointment. Now all of a sudden no one hears your call... So be careful with them, they are more scammers than healthcare providers...

    I strongly advise against this dentistry factory because the have some people working here who are just the dentist version of dr death. My implant fell and after few useless consultations finally one implantologist put it back on( lots of pain and x-rays in the meantime while pregnant) the same implantologist told me that his colleagues who made the implant made some mistakes, and I can’t use it to chew food otherwise it risks to fall again. This is already outrageous and I can’t redo it or it causes me more problems, what he can do was to fill the gap of the implant to avoid tooth decay caused by the ill placed implant so I did. After a week I was in pain, I went back for the pain and another dentist I met before( she is the one who no matter what problem you have do a x-ray as default) than she proceeded to tell me that the teeth where her colleague did a filling needed a root canal treatment and she was almost sure that it was the problem, from my past experience with her I was not convinced of her diagnosis, even though I was in a lot of pain I need to go abroad the same day I decided not to proceed for a gut feeling that she was wrong. She told me any dentist I would go would tell me same diagnosis, the next day I booked a dentist in Italy, he told me I was right because the pain was caused by a huge tooth decay in another teeth, and I was so big that he didn’t need an X-ray to see it( he told me pregnant women shouldn’t do X-ray when it’s not strongly necessary like my case) he treated it and the pain was gone. I strongly advice the Lassus management to check was this woman is doing because she is very confronting and she is not able to do her job. How can you miss a huge tooth decay and just randomly do unnecessary X-ray to people.

    This is my first ever review, because I normally cannot be bothered. But I just cannot wrap my head around any service provider who flat out refuses to give their clients even a rough estimate of costs. I asked for it four times and, while I kept getting reminders of my upcoming appointments, I never received a quote, not even what the starting point would be. They expected me to simply go in blind for a bunch of treatments because, as the receptionist explained "they had no way of knowing how long it would take, so they could only tell me the price after the treatment was done." I mean, what?? Also, they never reply to emails. Needless to say I left the practice immediately.

    Never again for cleaning. 1) Airflow cleaning was scheduled 2) a couple of times appointments moved on their side "because of doctors availability" 3) no airflow cleaning happen, instead, some student-looking lady was scrapping my teeth MANUALLY and now I fill them way more sensitive and she was saying that airflow cleaning will be the last part, but afterwards, it turned out to be broken 4) lady at a desk even haven't apologized for such a fail from their side BONUS: I was replacing retainer with overnight mouth guard there and doctor told: "for better experience I'll cleaned your teeth a bit" (took her 3 mins of time) and I received an invoice of 80 euro for that (the same cost you pay for 30 minutes long airflow cleaning) UPDATE: as you can see in the review reply from the "company" they were aiming to understand the situation, called me & offered a free appointment for cleaning with airflow. Yes, it was canceler a couple of times for both my company and myself, but it was never communicated that I will receive an invoice for it. Now they are claiming that they never offered a free cleaning. Dear customer support, you can read my first row of this review and understand that I WILL NOT PAY A CENT to have a cleaning with your awful services, attention, and way of communication both on the hygienists and customer service side. Think twice before going here

    Initially, everything was fine, the staff was professional and helpful until I needed to have a wisdom tooth removed and I received a bill way higher than expected. Over the course of a few weeks I had to chase them to give me a clarification as no one had previously told me that it would be more expensive than expected. Finally, the explanation I managed to obtain was that since it was a difficult piece, I was being charged more. Even after trying to understand this as during the extraction, both surgeon and assistant, were talking and laughing non-stop, I still did not obtain a satisfactory answer. Following this, I wanted my file as I did not want to be a client anymore and had to chase several times for this as well.

    They never, ever, ever pick up their phone or answer an email. I literally have to go over to their shop (and I use this word on purpose) every time I need to make or cancel an appointment. The only reason I still deal with them is that my implantologist, who I trust a lot, works there.

    After 3 years, I understood that you are just treated like a number in a big factory. I was left with no solution and terrible pain for 1 week and needed to look in this condition for a new clinic. I am happy it happened. I am happy I will not need to visit this place ever again.

The fact that one cannot exclude with certainty that serratia marcescens is not present in the practice, or at least conducts additional research in the interest of their patients, implies in my view that the management is simply not in control of hygiene.     The communication was always clear, the dentists and the front desk staffs are all very nice and helpful. Even though I suffered unusual longer pain after my second wisdom teeth extraction surgery, I contacted them and they offered me an immediate appointment and the dentist answered my concerns and solved my problems. It’s definitely recommendable.

    They have cancelled my appointment 3 times in a row , I was being really patience , I was ready to go to my appointment on these 3 times and they called me saying the dentist needed to be absent , I understand the understand the reasons , but this clinic is over priced and I expect a back up solution when this happens. My advice for expats , please ask a friend who can recommend a local dentist instead of this one l.

    My family (2 kids and parents) have been going to this practice since we moved to Amsterdam from the US almost 4 years ago. I initially loved it because it was super clean and the office was sleek and after seeing a couple of different ones, I found a dentist I really liked for my family. But sadly, I'm going to leave the practice and want to share my very uneven experience. The positives: (1) good hours including weekend hours; (2) very clean office; (3) employees are fluent in English. Negatives: As others have said, it's nearly impossible to reach them. I've waited for over an hour while the message repeatedly told me that I'm #1 in line so someone would get to me soon. I think that's the standard message, so don't believe that you're actually the next in line. They've also messed up a few things over the years, which I was willing to overlook, but the last month of trying to contact them, leaving messages to be called back when I finally did reach someone and actually never getting called back have been too much and I'm going to leave the practice. But watch out! They own many practices around the city that are not branded Lassus, so do ask your practice if they're owned by them or in the same group. I think the group has gotten too large and corporate and can't handle the volume of customers, and as a result, the quality of care is not very good (from the actual dentistry, to the customer service). My particular bad experiences: (1) the dentist said that because I had a slight gap between my molars that resulted in getting food stuck, she would put a patch to make the space smaller. She did that - it fell out 2 days later. I didn't bother to get it repatched because I didn't think I needed it in the first place. (2) They messed up my father's implants and to fix it have proposed removing another tooth to place yet another implant. When I tried to ask questions, I was rushed and told I'd receive a call to discuss - I've been trying to follow up with no return call. (3) My son's two front teeth fell out over a year ago and one started to grow in funny. During his checkup a year ago, I asked about it and was told to not worry, but on his checkup a month ago, we were told that it needs to be removed quickly as it's an extra tooth. We were rushed out again and told we would receive a call to discuss plans and schedule an appointment. Since it's something I understood needs to happen soon, I've been calling every few days for the last month leaving messages to explain the situation and asking to receive a call back. None has come. This is the lack of customer care that I'm referring to, and has lead our family to decide to look for a practice that is more caring.

    I had my crown fixed here a long time ago. And the doctor who was older did a amazing job. Came back recently with pain and told them it was really painful. Went in as an emergency. And they told me a cleaning would resolve it. Keep in mind i was in severe pain. I decided to go to to the central location. To get another opinion, also said cant do anything for me and cleaning will help. OBVIOUSLY it was something bigger, but hey they are doctors so they know better. So finally got the cleaning , the hygienist was really good. Unfortunately still not resolved and will def not go back. Advise anyone looking for good service go somewhere with experience, and not how fancy the place looks.

But when I called to see if she wanted to look at my cheek because it hurt terribly, I would have to pay extra for an emergency appointment. There was no time that week. When I indicated that I did not agree with this because the pain was caused by the appointment itself, no other option was offered and I waited with risks until my cheek would heal itself. I have never posted negative reviews, but when I told my story to the dentist, the response was so incomprehensible that I feel compelled to tell my story here. Ik heb meer dan een week rondgelopen met een totaal opengesneden binnenkant van mijn want en de ene helft van mijn gezicht was ontzettend opgezwollen. Nu kan het een ongelukkige plek zijn, ik ben geen tandarts. Maar toen ik belde of ze naar mijn wang wilde kijken omdat het ontzettend pijn deed zou ik extra moeten betalen voor spoed afspraak. Er was namelijk die week geen tijd. Toen ik aangaf dat ik het hier niet mee eens was omdat de pijn door de afspraak zelf was ontstaan werd er geen andere optie aangeboden en heb ik met risico's van dien afgewacht tot mijn wang vanzelf zou herstellen. Ik heb nog nooit een negatieve recensies geplaatst maar toen ik mijn verhaal deed bij de tandarts zelf werd er zo onbegripvol op gereageerd dat ik mij genoodzaakt voel om toch hier mijn verhaal te doen.

    I’ve been going to this place for 3+ years now. When I had a sudden toothache in early June, I had to see a dentist (different from whom I used to see as she was on annual leave). She had x-rays and said that I can go back home as it could be my gums and I need to clean my teeth better. 2 weeks later I had a very serious pain and went there again with an emergency appointment and same dentist saw me. She again said that it could be gum inflammation and I had to see my hygienist on Monday. The pain was terrible and I waited until Monday, counting minutes. I went to see my hygienist and the first thing she said that gum inflammation can not make that much pain so it should be something else - meaning I was in pain all weekend for nothing :( And they said they have nothing to do. I left there and just went to a random dentist. In 5 minutes they said it was the inflammation and I need to have a root canal treatment and start antibiotics. I'm really sorry about their “we don’t know how to help you” approach. My pain is now over thanks to other dentist's diagnosis. I won't be going to the Lassus any more.

    My experience with this place is absolute horrid. Poor quality, not being able to do the right diagnosis, using an old X-Ray. But billing you fast. Finally I came to the decision my family deserves a better place. BTW expensive looking waiting room does not mean you will receive good quality service. Shame on you!

    It has been now 1 year since my first time at Lassus Tandartsen. I highly recommend the dental hygienist Amsal Muric. I was fighting per years with a gum disease where some experts were also considering a possible surgery. Amsal solved- not just the problem of my gum - but also he understood what I needed to do in order to keep healthy and in balance my gum. Still can’t believe that this is real! Thank you very much Amsal!!

    I was satisfied with my cleaning. However, not telling me in advance that I’d be charged for the “advice” from the hygienist was annoying. I only found out when I received the bill. In the Keizersgracht practice I never had this experience of hidden charges.

And explaining where they indeed have issues with the call center .. Happy with that explanation Don't try to call average waiting time 10 min plus , and then when your there you see 2-3 assistants at the desk looking at a computer screen and not answering a ringing telefon ........

    Booked for wisdom tooth removal since June and they kept canceling my appointment & rescheduling for 3 times with very short notice. They kept saying that the dentist isn’t available. Wisdom tooth is a very serious thing and they were clearly careless about their patients otherwise they would’ve suggested something else or even simply notifying their patients. I’m now changing clinics for my sake & safety.

    How does this dental practice have so many 5* reviews. Fake accounts I suspect. My partner has had 3 wisdom tooth removal appointments cancelled by Lassus the day before treatment was supposed to take place. Originally, and by the dentist's instruction, the wisdom tooth removal was meant to be done with upmost urgency due to constant infections. 1st scheduled wisdom tooth removal - (3 or 4 months ago) - the Dentist apparently called in sick and they cancelled the appointment. 2nd appointment (6 later weeks later - was apparently the next available time)- dentist calls in sick AGAIN and we have to rearrange? Earliest appointment was another 4 weeks away!! THIRD APPOINTMENT (4 weeks later) scheduled for TODAY!- they email us yesterday to say the dentist isn't available all month and they cancel and told us we have to go to the hospital to do the tooth instead. Sorry what?! 3-4 months of cancelled appointments just to then tell us to go somewhere else?! Have already paid hundreds even thousands to this dentist. My partner was available any day for the last 3 months to have the procedure done. Are you telling me there's not been ONE single dentist available to remove a wisdom tooth in the last 3-4 months. Pathetic and negligent. We were both registered here but have now deregistered and my partner still in great pain with the tooth with no resolution.

    The dentist seemed in a huge rush and very rude, whenever I would ask a question about the procedure that will have to be done he would reply with very short answers and would not give me a good explanation why certain procedure needs to be done within certain time frame. I ended up going to another place and they talked to me like a normal person, breaking down exactly what treatments I need, why I need them and when I should do them. Would avoid this place. It looks fancy, but the dentist I got was not worth the money.

Bij de balie op de Lassusstraat vertelde ik over mijn ervaring op het Stadionplein en de medewerkster was zo vriendelijk mij gelijk naar een tandarts ter plekke te sturen en hij kon mij vervolgens goed uitleggen wat er aan de hand is met die kies. Kortom, ik denk dat deze praktijk te groot is geworden en bovendien te druk, je voelt dat men onder tijdsdruk werkt. En mijn min of meer vaste tandarts vergat mij de verwijsbrief voor de kaakchirurg te mailen en kon mij ook geen specialist aanraden, volgens hem zijn ze allemaal goed. Via zomaar een tandarts met goede reviews heb ik uiteindelijk een goede kaakchirurg gevonden.

    Two years later my American dentist is still working on salvaging the damage the young lady at this practice did to my teeth. Also, expat friendly means that they will get all they young fresh out of school employees to practice on you. Very nice waiting room though.....

    Despite the fact that this is a very expensive dental practice, I continued going especially because of the mouth hygienist treatment which is good. However, if you cancel an appointment one day before the agreed date, they charge you because you should cancel 2 days in advance. I think people are trained here, above anything else, to contribute to make of the practice a very profitable business at any cost. This is a very inappropriate approach.

    Been going for years and paid quite some money to this clinic to get my teeth fixed. Been wondering if some of these treatments have been unnecessary. During my last visit I was advised to get another root treatment on the same tooth due to an infection but after going to see another dentist I was confirmed that there was no infection just some scar tissue. You also get invoices delivered very late. Mouth specialists are good and do a good job with cleaning

    Bad customer service. They seems very kind on regular stuff, but when an issue occurs, ( eg pain after a day from simple filling treatment) they are not willing to accomodate for an eventual infection check in same day not even if for a 8 year old kid that has not been eating for 24 hours because if the pain.

    I’ll be honest that it is not easy to get an appointment sometimes, and that they need to reschedule often…. But, this is my best dental experience so far. I highly recommend Nikos Skoumpas - he is very professional, he makes sure I feel comfortable and that all of my questions are answered. I’m so happy he’s my dentist!

    Avoid this dentist, it really is a worthless organization. Now for the 3rd time I came by for nothing. They continuously reschedule appointments and communicate this poorly, meaning you end up for nothing. All my family members have also experienced this. The systems are not in order. When you enter, a computer on which you indicate your date of birth will tell you that the appointment is going ahead. The receptionist also says that you can take a seat. If you ask after half an hour whether the appointment is still going ahead, the appointment appears to have been rescheduled.     I’m not usually one to leave reviews but wanted to say thank you to Amsal for restoring my confidence in dental hygienist treatments. I was referred to Amsal after a painful experience with another hygienist which left me with a sore mouth for days and put me off booking further sessions. I was very nervous on my first appointment with Amsal but he immediately put me at ease, constantly checking in with me during the treatment to see if I was pain free and by the end of a thorough teeth cleaning treatment I was amazed at how painless it was. My second appointment with Amsal, I can honestly say that I almost fell asleep in the chair - not a pretty sight! - but that is testament to Amsal’s skills and professionalism. Thank you!

    I went there couple of times last year and had a bad experience with the filling and the dental cleaning. The filling wasn’t done correctly even during the next checkup they mentioned it is fine, but I had to go to another dentist to fix it. Keep an eye on the bills especially for the dental cleaning, I was charged extra 10 mins.
