Attila at Amsterdam Boat Adventures provided an exceptional experience! Our personalized tour, limited to just 6 people, felt incredibly private compared to other tours with up to 18 passengers. The 90-minute duration allowed us to have more fun and learn extensively about Amsterdam’s history—quite a contrast to other tours offering only 60 minutes at a similar price. Attila, despite not being a Dutch native, displayed impressive knowledge and enthusiastically answered all our questions. Undoubtedly the best 5-star canal tour in Amsterdam—highly recommended!

This place is great! I highly recommend it. We seemed to be having more fun than any of the people on the other tours we passed on the canal. Jamie was a great guide, answered all of our questions, and was overall fun to chat with! On this smaller boat we could get into smaller canals that the larger boats cannot.

The Amsterdam Old City Center Boat Tour with Captain Jamie is the best canal tour I've done in Amsterdam! Captain Jamie takes you to places that many other boats don't go, including around the NEMO science museum and through some of the very narrow canals. Captain Jamie is incredibly informative and makes the tour fun and engaging. I learned so much about Amsterdam's history and culture. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Amsterdam. It's a great way to see the city from a different perspective and learn about its fascinating past. At ~$26 Euros, it's also a great value. Overall, I had an amazing time on the Amsterdam Old City Center Boat Tour with Captain Jamie. It's definitely a tour I would recommend to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

Nice small boat guided tour fir 1 hour 30 minutes tour around the canals. Jamie was an excellent at the helm and a very informative host. There were drinks available for a modest fee for those with a thirst. Recommend a fleece or coat, there can be a breeze on the waters, even on a warm day…

The private canal tour with Amsterdam Boat Adventures was one of the best things I've done in Amsterdam! Captain Jamie was very friendly and knowledgeable, and he answered any extra questions I had. He loved having my dog Hally on board and even made her the co-captain. I will be recommending this to anyone I know who is visiting Amsterdam. 10 out of 10 would go on this canal tour again!

We had a wonderful boat adventure and found Jamie to be a friendly and knowledgeable captain who is obviously passionate about Amsterdam. The Amstel and the canals are a great way to see the city and the small 12-person open boat was able to manoeuvre easily, so we covered lots of ground in the 90-minute tour. The open boat is also better for taking photos of the crooked houses, bridges, and other sights than the larger covered boats. Jamie offered lots of nuggets of interesting history and was happy to answer questions. Highly recommend this chilled boat trip, it was a highlight of our visit.

Great cruise on comfortable boat. We were 5 people with a medium sized dog. The trip was awesome, our Captain entertained us with lot of historical facts and news about the city and the 1 and 1/2 hour of cruise was a great experience. The best way to see Amsterdam. Absolutely to try

Recommended !!! A complete tour goes through the center, some tours do not go through there and they take their time to explain and respond, it is almost a more personalized tour, it has cushions with a heater and blanket, with a drink included, I really recommend it, my mother was delighted for your first time!🌷the captain is very kind! I loved this boat tour! Captain Jamie was very hospitable and caring, booking and on-boarding went very smoothly. I was charmed my the stories about historical buildings, Amsterdam local habits and specialities. This trips gives the real flavor of beautiful Amsterdam. You get blanket for a windy weather, and there is a drink selection incl. Good wine, for a fair price. Everything was excellent. Highly recommended!

A wonderful way to see Amsterdam. I highly recommend Amsterdam Boat Adventures and Captain Jamie. The boat was super comfortable and the small group number maximum makes the experience much more enjoyable. Jamie was very knowledgeable about the history of Amsterdam. The cruise was laid back and relaxing. Very nice that you could BYO snacks and drinks as well - no pressure to buy anything on board.

We loved this boat tour! They use a smaller boat and can get into some of the canals that the larger boat tours can't. This means it is also more personable and intimate as there are a maximum of eight people. Jamie, our captain, was friendly and knowledgeable. He answered all the questions we asked of him and made sure we got the photos we wanted. It's also an electric boat so it's quieter (and environmentally friendly). I would highly recommend Amsterdam Boat Adventures! Thank you Jamie for such a great 90 minutes and sharing all the stories and facts about Amsterdam!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 90 minute canal cruise this afternoon. The weather was perfect, sunny and low 70s, making this open boat experience the perfect choice. Callum, our captain, was VERY knowledgeable about the canals and Amsterdam as a whole.

This experience was one of my favorites in Amsterdam! Captain Jaime was so kind and knowledgeable. He had tons of interesting information about the history of Amsterdam and pointed out the most unique sites. The boat was very nice and comfortable, and the heating pads and blankets were a great touch for the chilly evenings. I highly highly recommend Amsterdam Boat Adventures!

Amazing tour of the canals on a cozy and comfortable boat that fit max 12 people and that you can also rent for your own private party. They have blankets and heated pillows for the chilly days. Jaimie is a fantastic host and he will make sure your trip is memorable

Best part of our trip! Dog friendly, no sea sickness, very personalized. This is wayyyyy better than the big boat tours. Very friendly captain with lots of interesting information during the tour about the architecture and history of Amsterdam. Also you can bring your own food/drinks or buy reasonably priced drinks on board. We went on a chilly day and it wasn't crowded. We bundled up and enjoyed the whole boat to ourselves! Would totally do it again. Thank you Jaimie!

Fantastic tour and very cozy. The size of the boat makes everything more personal. You can ask questions and get a great bit of detail. The smaller boat size means we can travel through most of not all of the canals. Would definitely recommend.

We were looking for a small boat that would fit through the smaller canals and not be overcrowded with tourists. With Jamie we found exactly that. For a fair price, we and three other people were sailed through the canals for 90 minutes. We also received great and entertaining explanations and stories about the city and its buildings. Jamie always had a suitable answer to questions. Jamie's boat is an electric boat that sails silently across the water. It was very comfortable and modern. There were also two refrigerators from which you could purchase drinks. A still water was two euros. Absolutely fair. We can fully recommend a tour with Jamie. Thank you Jamie for a great adventure at Amsterdam Canals. Perfect tour.

Thanks a lot for this amazing boat tour! We had the luck to do it with a beautiful sun. Jamie was friendly and his explanations on the city and its history were really interesting. The prices are quite low as the tour is longer than the other companies: we’ve done a 90min ride. What’s more, we are only 8 on the boat so the atmosphere was even more pleasant and convivial. I definitely recommend it!

A great boat tour! Personal, knowledgeable, funny. Everything that the big canal tours don't have. The boat was quite small but stable and had blankets and heated pillows, going in the evening was thus no problem.

Very relaxing and informative tour. This should be on everybody's first stop when coming to Amsterdam. Capt Jamie is friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended. Drinks were available for purchase on the boat. Love the Heineken. Also, our small dog loved it!

I couldn't recomend this service enough! Captain Jaime took great care of our team and while we were cruising on the canal, he made us discover some interesting facts about Amsterdam. Thee were drinks on the boat and there were also some cozy blankets to protect us from the wind. If you are visiting Amsterdam this is a must activity to do!

Jamie was a fantastic host! He was knowledgeable and very accommodating (our dogs were allowed). This tour is well worth the price. And the blankets (because it started raining and getting chilly) were super warm too ;-)

Thanks to a dog friendly community post I found out Amsterdam Boat Adventures, which allows your doggy to come along in the boat. The experience was great, we get to know interesting facts about the city and the main downtown canals. I really recommend this trip to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Light Festival canal tour. The tour guide, also the owner, was knowledgeable of the entries. Skillfully navigated all the canals and other boats, allowing for wonderful pics of the art works. The open air boat was absolutely divine. I highly recommend it over the other "indoor" or cabin boats. The seat cushion warmers and hot beverages were the perfect touch.

Great tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and patient! He answered all my questions. Very fun got to see Amsterdam from another perspective. I highly recommend this tour. Also if you can’t book through the website just send a message through Whatsapp and the captain will save a spot for you. I was able to pay in cash

We had a lovely experience! The captain was very friendly and gave interesting facts during the tour. There was a possibility to buy some drinks on the boat and there were blankets and heated pillows to keep us warm. Would definitely recommend!

We enjoyed a lovely tour with Jamie today. Easy and fast booking online in advance and a very friendly guide. Thanks to the quiet and small boat we were able to access canals away from mass tourism. Jamie provided us with lots of little information along the way. Thank you for the blankets and heating pads, too! We can highly recommend this company for a canal cruise while staying in Amsterdam!

A great experience! We were able to see so much of Amsterdam and enjoy the beautiful canals. Our guide, Jamie, was very informative and answered all my questions. He provided blankets when it became chilly during the evening. I would recommend an open-air boat ride because you can see so much more. Also, the boat only holds 12 passengers making it a very personal experience!

Second trip with Captain Jamie. My wife and I visited Amsterdam in August 2020. We went on trip with Jamie; fantastic service, hospitality and guidance. 3 years later we returned with our children; both children loved it as much as we did. Next time we return we will go again.

👍 Beautiful views, good food, very nice personnel. On the other hand, it felt very crowded (4-seat tables on a 84-people boat) and noisy. Not recommended for a romantic night out, but interesting as a different perspective on a very beautiful city.
