Better Read this before you go there: 1: The lycians definitly understood were to live with the most phantastic views. 2: They probably have woren Sandals 2500 years ago, but you definetly need good shoes, best would be proper hiking boots. 3: its not the "easy" tourist attraction" very grown in with plants but that makes it so special, the nature is just absolutly amazin. For kids probably not the most intersting place. If you are only a week in Kas better go to Kyaneai, much easier to accees and even more amazing. 4: save the photos of the maps I posted, i navigated with them and had a hard time finding anything. The maps on the Signs are very precice. 5: the north entry is very easy, you can drive with scooter or rental car right to the accees point in the map. 6:lykian way goes right through BUT dont get mislead by the red, white hiking marks and especially not the RED crosses. They are only for the hikers, you have to go behind the red crosses to find the interersting parts. Enjoy the Lycian Ghosts up there:-) they are still around!

Eventually found Phellos on the third attempt 👍..do not follow google maps way. The best route is to follow Lycian Way from Çukurbağ. Oh...we seen a family of browns bears in the forest section so be careful and stick to the path.

Not easy to find. I parked at the mosque at Pinarbasi then followed the poorly defined path. Some red/ white paint marks on rocks along the path and red crosses showing what isn’t the path. Climb to the chain link fence and keep the fence line on your left. Don’t go through the rusty gate, take the little path past the water tank. The path is better defined from then to the ruins. Some pretty well preserved, including a mosaic floor. All the more satisfying after the effort required to get there. Got completely lost the first time, but used the offline map in free Navmii app second time , the path is marked on it (as is the path from the forest watchtower at 36.248114° 29.675215°)

Hard hike definitely for people who like long walks. Wear trousers as our legs got scratched really badly from the bushes. It was absolutely amazing once we made it, path is easy to follow and the ruins are great. Couldn’t find the mosaic though :( We parked at the mosque and followed the Lycian way.

We tried going there by using the "right" trail, as it seemed easier but we couldn't reach there. There was no trail or road to phellos for the last 200 300 meters. You had to go into forest which has a steep slope. Try going to the left trail starting near the mosque.

(Translated by Google) Disgrace. There is neither a sign nor such an ancient city, it was a story of disappearance with children crying. It is very sad that in my beautiful country such beauties are lost because of people's indifference. Is it so hard to put a sign and make a road!!! (Original) Rezillik.

(Translated by Google) The maps take you to the villas that are out of order. Signs are insufficient. It's a place that the ministry of tourism and the municipality forget and don't care about, don't waste your time. If you haven't been before, you probably won't find it. (Original) Haritalar sizi yolu son derece bozuk villalara götürüyor. Tabelalar yetersiz. Turizm bakanlığı ve belediyenin unuttuğu ve önemsemediği bir yer, vaktinizi boşa harcamayın. Daha önce gitmediyseniz muhtemelen bulamazsınız.

👍👍 If you love UNESCO sites, then this one is for you. It’s right off a main roadway and is a very large area. Most of the area is in a ruin state, minus some of the tombs and gladiator arena. There are very few signs detailing what each place is, but additional information can be found online. Be prep...

👍👍 An amazing stone tomb at the top of a lively street. See a historic grave in a part of life is amazing. The street is splendid and houses covered with beautiful bougainvilleas... This street and tomb has a soul! I recommend everyone to visit there if you are passing through...
