This place has a great atmosphere despite the fact that the space is small. The crowd is great every time the mix of Locals and tourists makes this place a unique one. You can find a table inside close to the bar or outside in their patio area which is great before sunset since the view is amazing. It is so close the Plaza or many of the major hotels and AirBnB’s in the are that you can get there walking. Food Nachos or Wings are the best options for drinks the Bucket of beers is always a good option or for those who want to try something different the Fishbowl (their classic) kamikaze’s or the Cucaracha’s are their best.

My brother is the owner best in Antigua

This might be my favorite restaurant in Antigua. It's very much a burger joint/bar. There's loud music, a simple menu with amazing, huge burgers, great wings, the biggest shukos I've ever seen (that's just HALF in the photo), and some ice cold drinks with great variety, from micheladas to granizadas with a variety of Quetzalteca (think alcoholic snow cone in drink form). And to top it all off, a beautiful rooftop view of Antigua and volcán de agua. I make it a point to visit every time I'm in town.

A great place to visit. Make it your pregame spot, or your main hangout for drinks. Get the fishbowls, if not for the taste, at least for the story.

A very cool bar, felt very safe (security patdowns at the entrance). The burgers were very solid but the best bit was definitely the good value fish bowls of cocktails w/ a great vibe and music selection. It also has a decent view over the town on the rooftop (nothing stunning though).

4 years after I leave a 2 star review of Lava Terrace the "owner" decides to leave an "angry/huffy steam blowing out of their nose" reply. If they cared so much about my review, then why did they wait 4 years to reply? If they cared so much about my review, why didn't they ask my why I left a 2 star review? I'm guessing that the attitude of the "owner" is just one of the reasons I left a 2 star review. xox

This is the pool and sauna that is available for guests at Hotel San Jorge and San Vicente and others to use. Nice pool. Staff was very nice.

If you are a COVID freak just avoid this place, but if you want to have a great Friday or Saturday night during the pandemic you´ll enjoy this please. Great Gin Tonic in the first floor. It isn´t a big place, it is very small and of course you have to be open mind because people is drunk everywhere. Now if you go during the day or any other weekday, it will be empty. Have fun.

This bar is one of the few bars/restaurants that create "El Barrio." This is a perfect place to bring friends and have a few drinks and unwind after a wonderfully magical day in Antigua, Guatemala. If you enjoy a beer garden-esque type of place with outdoor/rooftop venue and like to switch things up, the I highly recommend El Barrio. Again, this is one of the several bars that make up this unique and colorful place, good lighting, semi-loud music and lots of nooks and crannies for 2 or a group of friends.

This place was good. Drinks and atmosphere. Didn't try the food but drinks wise the selection is top notch and you can't go wrong here. During Sundays you can catch some nfl games too which is always a plus
