Superb dishes. Excellent food and very reasonable prices. Located close to Moot Hall facing old market square. Most of the time there is a long queue outside for take away. There is additional seating upstairs. If dining in, head to the staircase directly, avoiding the queue. Dine in prices are 10-20 pct higher than take away. Service was good and staff was friendly. We were there on a sunday and it closed by 8.30-9.00. Closed earlier than other restaurants around.

A sit down chippy with friendly staff, good food and plenty of choices… We arrived at 1pm on a Sunday and managed to get a table upstairs straight away, we were given our menus and the drinks order taken immediately - we had two cokes which were surprisingly glass bottle cokes, the best kind! The menu has your fish and chip shop classics along with burgers, kids meals and plenty of sides. We weren’t sure whether you ordered at the counter or not so I asked a member of staff and she was very apologetic for the wait, I wasn’t trying to rush her on or anything - I simply asked how we order, I don’t want her feeling like she let the service down because she didn’t at all! I ordered smoked sausage with chips, gravy and a buttered roll, my partner ordered sausage with chips and curry sauce, also with a buttered roll. The food arrived quickly, it was all absolutely delicious and the food was hot - my only criticism was that there wasn’t much gravy (which comes in a separate pot) The staff were all friendly and the room upstairs is nice and cosy, I would say some of the tables are a bit crammed in but they only have so much space to utilise. Overall, a local legend for good reason and a must-have if you’re in Keswick and fancy a chippy!

A really great fish and chip shop with restaurant upstairs. Six of us dined there and all the food was delicious. Beautiful clean surroundings with a lovely view of the market place. All the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. Prices were reasonable and fast service. We have never been here before but were not disappointed. I can't really think what else you would expect from it. Brilliant.

Best fish and chips in Keswick by far probably the whole Lake District chips were crispy and tasty and the fish white and the batter was crispy cooked in vegetable oil so not too greasy. Plenty of forms next to the Moot Hall to sit on and eat them too. A must visit for anyone visiting Keswick.

Great family fish and chips at the Keswickian. We took a boat three quarters around Derwentwater and walked back to Keswick. Fish and chips was the perfect motivation for little walkers. Staff were excellent with children. Everyone enjoyed the meal.

The fish was amazing quality with decent sized chips followed by the most tasty mushy peas I've had in a while. Amazing chippy with a very friendly staff and very helpful, the restaurant is downstairs and upstairs and also has a takeaway section too. Very busy but served as quickly as they could with waiting times no more than fifteen minutes. Certainly one of my favourite chippies of all time.

Brilliant food, worth the price for the area you're in. Service was great, nothing special and nothing wrong Loved my late lunch today, would go again. One of the best pies and gravy uve ever eaten. The fish was standard.

Asked for two large chips and 3 fish and got 1 fish with no ships and 2 fish with pathetic quantities of chips. Rip off. See fish under chips 😂 I expected 3 chips and 2 large chips in one pack And no tartar sauce. Go to the Kingfisher instead
