I've visited only couple restaurants in Arad but this one is THE BEST one for sure. Maybe best I've ever been to. The food was amazing, the service was the best I've ever received and Mr. Chef is my new superhero. He personally came out to ask everyone if they're satisfied. All around amazing experience. It’s the absolute best in Arad!!! The food is amazing, the service is great and the atmosphere is sooo relaxing. I‘ve been there more than once and every time, my expectations were exceeded! I can’t recommend it enough!

While on our way back home by car, we stopped in Arad for dinner. Marin&Friends restaurant convinced us as it was closer to the highway exit and also the reviews and pictures were looking very good. We had no idea at that point that it's in the top 3 restaurants in Arad. We were not disappointed, actually when the food arrived we were knocked out by it's look and feel: the portions were huge and cooked with very much attention to detail. We had a beef tenderloin smoked with walnut wood (the beef was still sitting inside a glass full of fresh smoke), pork spare ribs Marin style, and duck breast with oranges (and other fruits :) ) The ribs were huge, slow cooked and with a nice crunchy crust, the meat was simply falling from the bones; I could barely eat half of the portion even if I shared them with my family, the rest I took it to go... and they were so good next day :) My wife had the smoked beef tenderloin - and it was wow! Again, generous portion. The beef was very tender and tasty, not sure what source they have - its quality I can compare easily with argentinian or US beef. The duck breast didn't disappointed also, it was awesome - our daughter loved it. The deserts were also very good, we were almost full but we were curious to try them - we had one  'Bird's milk - Lapte de pasare' and another one for which I forgot the name :( it had hot plums with a crunchy crust and a ball of ice cream. I liked also that they have the kitchen behind a big glass and you can see everything they do behind the "scene". One thing to mention is that the Chef himself was going through the restaurant and speaking with each client, very nice of him! I am a meat lover and I have been in quite a lot of restaurants and I can say that here at Marin & Friends in Arad we had one of the best culinary experiences so far. Congrats to the Chef and the team! This restaurant should have at least one Michellin star! Definitely one of the best restaurants in our list, we will make sure to stop here every time we pass through Arad.

The atmosphere is very cosy, relaxed and one can enjoy the cooking process of the chef through a glass wall (open kitchen concept). The staff is always welcoming and the chef comes sometimes to ask you how do you like your order. A special, different type of restaurant from the usual in Arad.
