Built between 1892 and 1894 as the headquarters of the “Aradi és Csanádi Egyesült Vasutak” (abbreviation: ACsEV, German Arader and Tschanader unified railways), the neoclassical palace in the center of the city of Arad was designed by the then Hungarian star architect Miklos Ybl. ACsEV was a railway company in Hungary. The private railway was created in 1886 through the merger of the “Arad–Körösvölgyi Vasút” with the “Arad–Csanádi Vasút”. After 1919, more than half of the route network was in Romania. The part that remained in Hungary was henceforth known as Szeged-Csanádi Vasút. In 1945 the company was nationalized. The former headquarters in Arad houses apartments and various offices; the building is in poor condition.

A pretty bad idea. A place without a means of information, an amalgam of companies, where no one knows how to orient you, not even those with boutiques, as if the location were shrouded in mystery, so grade 1 because I have to give at least that much officially.

Rehabilitation works or salvation works. Only the facade on Revoluții was repaired, and the roof, which was most in need of renovation, was not done. Work done by the facade. After a few serious rains, pieces of plaster will fall again. Those who think that I am speaking against the party will soon be convinced. I have a lot of experience.

The beautiful building in the center of Arad, but it's a shame that the interior is not restored!
