Crowded but beautiful! Definitely need to stop here!

Must-visit place if you are nearby. The hike up to the hills in hard but worth it. You can camp down near the lake or you can take camping to the next level and hike with tents up to the secons lake. The hike to Vanatarea lui Butenau will take you around 2,5 hours but its worth it. Just be careful - some parts are quite tricky to walk/climb ( specially on the top)

An easy point to reach from Cabana Bâlea lac. A medium technical hike of one hour until the top. There you have beautiful views over the Transfăgărășan valley. From there you have 2 peaks close to reach: Iezerul Caprei și Vânătoarea lui Buteanu.

A very nice view over Trasnfagarasan road (towards Cartisoara), best to be up there is sunset (like this photo)

Beautiful location, bit hectic when you get to the top.

Unreal experience the views, hiking and warm cosy setting for afterwards.
