Beautiful place, beautiful road, comparable to Forclaz area. 40 kilometers per hour Max and there is no need to go faster - actually it's better to to be a passenger then the driver 🙂.

No words. Easily the most beautiful place I’ve seen on Earth. Drove to the tunnel and lake look out during summer and we still saw some snow & it was warm enough in shorts and tshirt. Recommend bringing warm clothes as it’s cooler up the mountain. Food, drink and store options surrounding the unbelievable views.

What an amazing road to drive , we even managed to see bears on the main route which was a bounus

it s ok, there is dumb people in tunnel that use their horn from the car, idiots 🙄 Here s a pont : use the facemask because in tunnel there s a lot of unburn fuel from the car.

Unreal place, very bautiful... you should spend all day here... you can camp here, so beautifull. On weekends a lot of people and trafic jams...

The road is not so good

Spectacular nature, spectacular road, very crowded on weekends and holidays. Usually opens from July to end of October

We entered the tunnel without problem, but then we were stuck in the traffic jam inside it. The car parkings on the Northern exit (near the lake) were overcrowded, so the traffic stopped.

I walked the túnel by foot. There is a 1m path and enough light to feel safe. Noise from cars passing by is something special. Once you are at Balea Lac, the experience is kind of a must. This is an easy walk you will remember.
