What a great place this was. The town of Arras, the architecture of the buildings in the square was fantastic and not to mention the cobbles. There are loads of restaurants and bars, we found one place that had a good selection of pizzas that were delicious with such good quality food and service. Will definitely be visiting again.

A very unexpected find in Arras. Huge old cobbled square surrounded by dutch style 4 storey buildings. Lively with restaurants and bars to meet all tastes. Hot evening so alfresco dining was popular. Still pkenty if space in most places. Search out day or early summer evening.

Beautiful town square that could be nowhere else but France. Sit outside a bar and watch the people and the day go by. Excellent!

Nice place to enjoy the architecture and maybe a drink. There was even a manège for the kids but found the chains to prevent parking in that are very low and a potential hazard to someone not paying attention or even with mobility issues.

impressive by its extend, mixing old and rebuild after WW1, special with its 'colonnade' running all around and then there the 'petite place' not that small by the way connected to the grand' place worth seeing , not forgetting the 'boves' under the 'petite place

A really fantastic place to see, plenty of restaurants and bars. The atmosphere is absolutely great. It can be very busy in the early evening,so, sometimes you may have to wait to be served

On y trouve également de très nombreux restaurants proposant de multiples spécialités culinaires c est un lieu incontournable si vous visitez la ville

Very good Christmas market but the cobbles are hard on the feet for oldies. Plenty of different stalls compared to Amiens market.

Toller Weihnachtsmarkt in Arras mit vielen Ständen. Es wird Käse, Wurst, Süßes und vieles mehr verkauft. Viele Stände bieten Handwerkskunst und Geschenkideen für Weihnachten. Eine Eisbahn und Karussells für Klein und Groß sind ebenfalls vorhanden. Ein Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Das Rathaus auf dem benachbarten Platz ist toll beleuchtet.

One of my favorite grand place in all of Europe. There is something unique about this place. It's also a great place to visit for concerts and events, or just to grab some food and drinks!

A must see both day and night. Popular area a night with loads to see and do and plenty bars and restaurants to choose from and easy to get to via road or the near by railway astation.

A lovely atmosphere in Arras in the Grand Place. A smaller but more intimate version if Brussels. Lots of WW1 history nearby including the Common Wealth War Graves experience and the tunnels under the town.

Première fois validée au marché de Noël d'Arras. Il est encore plus beau la nuit! •|Plus grand que celui de Lille, le sol est recouvert d'un tapis rouge qui empêche de glisser et de tomber lorsqu'il a plu (surtout pour les petits). •|Conseil: ne prenez pas de (gros) sac pour ne pas perdre du temps à se faire fouiller à l'entrée. Surtout faites aussi 1tour sur la Grand place et le village du père Noël à côté. Les enfants vont adorer!

Great area with great Christmas market during festive season!

Even though it was freezing cold the Christmas Market was brilliant we all really had a great time plenty of stalls selling gifts, drink and food plus there was a ferris-wheel, carousel and rides for the kids plus entertainment on the evening ie music and dancing.

Everything you would expect of a beautiful, historic French Town centre. Christmas markets are lovely. Not brilliant for coach drop off and parking but doable.

Such a beautiful place. The Christmas market was wonderful. Lovely shops to look around.

It was closed, New Year's Eve and closed. 😔. One kebab house serving chicken kebabs and a Chinese restaurant serving a ridiculously expensive set menu. So we celebrated New Year's with a chicken kebab and orangina.
