Great comics and game shop. Got a pack of mtg cards they've got lots of real in your hand stuff entertainment/play, still wish they had more space for more products. Employee was super nice! Too bad Omaha's "development scene" has forced this small business to downsize and, currently, they can't exist in their ideal iteration; bc we love coffee and comics

Love comics, love coffee, love this place! The pumpkin spice muffin is delicious, and I am currently enjoying a dirty chai. Great place for unique gifts if you’re looking for something for a comic lover in your life.

Legend holds a special place in my heart. All the employees are some of the kindest, most respectful people I have ever met. They really take the time to get to know you (and learn your name by your second or third visit) and help you find whatever you're into. Not to mention my husband and I got engaged there...and they helped him set it all up! The store is really one big family and we (including my children) just adore going there. They have an amazing selection of comics, plus the coffee and food are great. BUT what makes Legend is the people. I can't say enough good things. Truly.

New in town, from the outside I was super excited like a little kid going to the candy shop. The place was very nice, clean and empty. Immediately when I walked in it was a total 360. Maybe it was just a off day but definitely did not feel welcomed . Grabbed a cup of coffee and exit immediately. I increase the Stars due to the cleanliness !!!

I’m from out of town, so first time in and found a key issue I didn’t expect. Nice location and atmosphere. Open, clean and not overly crowded with too much merchandise. There is such a thing… coffee and drinks on location is a bonus! Wendy worked with me to close a affordable deal on a Daredevil #1. Found out later that my nephew has a monthly comic-box there so I’m glad to have done business at their shop. Highly recommend!

I love this comic shop. Mike, Champ and the other staff are helpful and friendly. I'm stopping by weekly at this point. The coffee is pretty good too, would definitely recommend it if you're into comics. They do host other events, although I have yet to attend one.

A pillar of the community. I first discovered Legend when I moved to Omaha a few years ago. I was looking for somewhere to buy Magic: The Gathering cards and did not expect what I was going to get. I walked into a cozy, wood-floored wonderland that smelled pleasantly of coffee. There, I was met with amazing service, and the wonderful personalities of both Dave, Wendy, and all their amazing employees. Never once have I had a bad experience here. Never once has anyone abused my trust or attempted to undercut me when I'm buying or selling cards. They have a wide selection of not only cards, but comic books as well- and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable. The passion they have for comics is exactly what you would want in the people selling them. They have an amazing rewards program, whose model I prefer over any other game store I've been to. It's really an amazing place that I want to see up and running for years to come. It's not just my local game store, it's our local game store. Oh yeah, and the coffee's amazing.

We had a fantastic time here. We had a handful of our family meet here. We stayed for a couple hours. They took such good care of us. We got drinks and looked at comic books. They had coffee drinks but also options for those who do not prefer coffee. It was a very playful, themed menu. They have a section set up for the kids so my kids could sit and read kids comics. The kids were so excited about that and also had a great time. I would highly recommend this unique and quality business.

I love it here! Whenever I finish up a comic, I come here immediately, and they always have what I'm looking for. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is very comfortable.

absolutely love legends for their inventive coffee/drink menu, the amazing selection of comics and other nerdy merchandise, and friendly service. but i will say as a seasoned barista myself, i always get the impression that the baristas aren’t trained very well. any time i stop at the drive thru, i’m waiting for at least 10 minutes for a single iced latte, and 15-20 for multiple lattes. i went inside last time and had to repeat my “small iced mocha made with soy” order no less than five times - no exaggeration. the coffee is always good, but i have such bizarre experiences. lol.

This was a very cool little shop! I was visiting Omaha with my kids and we like to check out the local comic shops wherever we go. This place had a lot of trade paper backs/graphic novels and had 50% off of a bunch. Great selection of new comics from the big publishers and a smallish but very well organized back issue section. One very cool thing they had was comic bundles that collected certain issue runs/stories. The dude that was working in there(seemed to me to be the owner or at least manager), was very friendly snd helpful. That's a HUGE plus for me as believe it or not I have been in quite a few shops where the owners are not very nice. Almost like they feel they are doing you a favor or something by being open. NOT the case here. Support your local businesses instead of just the big box online stores! I didn't ask if they do Previews orders but if you're a local that's a question I'd ask. I'm not sure how many shops do that anymore but they used to.

Fantastic selection of comic books, graphic novels, and manga. Also plenty of fun fan favorites, like Funko Pop bobbleheads and figurines. They even have a kids section and section for books and comics about social issues and showcasing LGBTQIA characters. Absolutely love it!

This local comic book store has a lot of titles and has friendly and knowledgeable staff. Can't wait until they move to a bigger location.

Let’s start off right when I got here she was arguing with a guy that went through the drive thru and didn’t get service and came inside and she started being rude to him for no reason and he rushed out of the store mad at her i then went up for a smoothie and rang the bell so she knew I was there and came over and said I’m making some one else a drink in the rudest voice she could If I could give one star to the place and their service I definitely would.

Awesome comic book store. It's a great place to go for any comic or board games. However we waited a ridiculously long time for our coffee. So if you're looking for decent service for coffee, don't go here.

First time costumer - went there yesterday. Better than ANY LCS in my home town of Kansas City by far. Wish it were closer to me but well worth the 3 hour tour. Gracious staff - Delicious Iced Coffee - Very Organized - Friendliest and most Knowledgeable Staff on Planet Earth - Great Listening Music while Browsing the Ginormous amount of Goods including Bad Idea Comics. Omaha is fortunate to have this awesome establishment. Going back ASAP.

Legend Comics is a great local store. First, it's very unique and stylish in its appearance. I recently went there to find some back issues and they went to great lengths to find them for me even though they have thousands of books available. They also saved me a copy of a hot book and sold it to me at cover price when other stores around town were selling it for 20 dollars for a base cover that came out that day. You don't often see stores of any kind (especially collectibles) eschewing profit to keep their customers happy, but Legend did. I'd argue it's the better decision for the long term. Anyway, don't hesitate to go here for your comics or anything similar - you will enjoy it.

The people at Legend are just the absolute nicest people in the world. Always incredibly kind and helpful. If they don't have what you're looking for, they'll happily get it for you. They're always happy to chat with my 5-year-old without a hint of gatekeeping or condescension. It's just such a phenomenal family environment and it's been a great way to get my kid (and my wife) into comics. They should all be really proud of the inclusive community they're building. Spending a little time at Legend instantly puts my whole family in a great mood for the rest of the day. I just can't say enough good things about everyone at Legend.

I went there for my first time and had an absolute blast. They were all so friendly and recommended many amazing comics to read. I plan on going back as well as bringing others with me!!

Great coffee, comics and atmosphere

Wendy and Dave at Legends are two of the greatest shop owners I’ve ever met. They make everyone feel welcome and knew my name the second time I came in. They love to just talk comics, their shop is one of the nicest in the city. Extremely organized and merchandise is fairly priced. Go in, browse their selection and buy something and then head over to their coffee shop and grab a drink to go (during covid). Once the pandemic is over this shop is a great place to hang out and read books while sipping a drink!

Comics and coffee. They go together like peanutbutter and jelly. I LOVE this place and so does my wife. That's why we got married here.

Myself and my son love this shop. My son but some Magic the Gathering cards here. They have a wide variety of comic, gaming and sci-fi items.

I did not enter the shop since we were in a hurry, but it looks great. The coffee latte was great.

Great coffee and comic selection but the hours are whack. They’re only open 9 - 5 which are the same hours I work and they’re closed on Sundays so the only day I can go in and give them any money is Saturday.

This a great local coffee shop with loads of comic book paraphernalia and other nerdy treasures for our inner children. I've only had a few different drinks here, but they've all been great, and competitively priced as well. Worth a visit if you're in the neighborhood!

If you're a comic book nerd like myself, this place is heaven. They have a very diverse selection of comics. Everyone is certain to find something they'll like and the employees are very helpful and can help you find a specific issue. They also have a really quaint coffee shop set up on one half of the building. Their refreshments are made by baristas who know what they're doing. Overall, one of my favorite places in Omaha!

the food/coffee was really good but the brat worker was so rude. when me and my friend walked in she started arguing with a a guy. and then me and my friend went up to the counter to get a drink and she wasn’t there. so we clicked the bell that you where supposed to click to get the workers attention if they aren’t looking and she turned around and said “i’m working on someone else’s drink right now hold on” with a huge attitude🙄

Was in town from Boston for a wedding and this spot was a perfect little cultural oasis amidst the endless desert of chain restaurants and, well, other chain restaurants. Had a wonderfully dank Americano, bought a Lying Cat tee, and a couple of comics. Totally brightened my day. Great shop.

They offer a little bit for everyone’s taste, a lot of comics of different variety. The shop is very aesthetically pleasing and the staff are amazing (specially mike!) coffee’s are wonderful plus the pastries. I would highly recommend this shop to any comic fan!

Only my second time in, today I came to drop off a couple items to the Omaha Autonomous (a volunteer collective working to create community well-being through mutual aid) winter coat drive as well as find a novel gift for my lore-loving 14-year-old. I, not knowing much about comics, picked up "Spider-Gwen: Smash" because the cover was interesting and it was a character I've heard of before. I asked the person behind the counter if there were more of the comics from the series, and if they knew anything else about it. "Oh yeah, it's a fun and fresh take on the Spider-verse. Which is hard to do because they've been making books and movies for over sixty years." Then the person proceeded to show me all of the various Spider-Gwen's, and also very kindly explained what a variant edition is. The staff member's genuine love for comics was infectious and extremely helpful in finding the perfect gift. Another thing: I was greeted by a different staff member wearing a face mask when I walked in, which was nice to see because I also wear a face mask. It is a sign of community care. Not only is Legends a sprawling space filled to the ceiling with shelves and drawers of comics; not only do they have a coffee shop and gaming room for sitting to stay a while; this place is actually doing the work that builds community. This local business is sharing space for mutual aid, comic nerds, non-comic fans, and a whole wall for LGBTQIA+ comics. Thank you, more please. At the checkout with the staff member that helped me find Spider-Gwen, I asked their name and said thank you. "Dave" he replied and gave me his business card. After I walked out I looked down, read the business card, and came to find out that Dave is the owner. Smh. Day made.
