Awful
experience.
When
we
arrived
at
3:30pm,
we
were
told
our
room
wasn’t
ready
and
we
would
need
to
wait
to
check
in
(even
though
check-in
is
at
3pm).
The
woman
at
the
front
desk
was
apologetic,
and
said
they
are
very
understaffed,
with
only
a
few
housekeepers.
A
bit
annoying,
but
understandable.
After
arriving
at
our
room,
we
immediately
noticed
that
the
bathroom
had
not
been
cleaned
sufficiently.
There
were
curly
black
hairs
all
over
the
shower
and
bathroom
floor.
One
of
the
housekeepers
had
to
come
in
and
clean
while
we
were
in
the
room.
The
other
main
issue
was
the
noise.
Our
room
was
on
floor
11
overlooking
the
roof,
where
a
wedding
was
being
held.
Loud
party
music
was
played
on
the
roof
for
several
hours,
not
shutting
off
until
after
midnight.
Customer
service
was
unhelpful
and
rude
to
us,
not
offering
a
room
switch
until
my
friend
cried.
The
new
room
was
just
as
loud
as
the
previous,
so
we
opted
not
to
switch.
We
will
be
pursuing
a
full
refund
for
this
stay,
as
we
paid
for
a
nice
hotel
yet
got
none
of
the
basic
amenities
that
even
basic
hotels
promise
to
provide-
Rydges
Auckland
had
poor
customer
service,
forced
late
check-in,
loud
music
in
the
hotel
that
was
impossible
to
sleep
through,
and
dirty
bathrooms.
Definitely
would
not
stay
here
again.
