Worse experience ever. Where do I start? Room was dirty including finding used vapes under the lounge. Then the washing machines didn’t work. Promised by staff it would be sorted and wasn’t. Over heard another guest at reception complaining that their washing machine was broken. Honestly, never again.

Room was nice. aircon was effective and still quiet. good shower.handy to shops and bars. However. Phone in my room didnt work, I had to park in an unsecured carpark next door for $30 per night despite being promised a secure parking space. Hotel kitchen wasn't open often when I was staying there. Access keys often lost their programming. Dryer didnt work. Parking is expensive and you get wet walking from your room to the lift because its outside. Wouldn't stay there again

Wouldn’t stay in that hotel again Wouldn’t stay in that hotel again. The website is saying the deposit is $200 but they have asked me to pay $600. If I knew the amount in advance Id bring cash without any problem. But no one told me and unfortunately I’ve lost me credit card and haven’t applied for a new one, so I had to ask my friend to pay . Also, the condition of the room is not great - floor has a lot of scratches, the drawer in kitchen was broken and the heatpump upstairs was turning on by itself every 30 minutes and working so loud, and wouldn’t react to remote, so not able to sleep as well. The hotel gave us late check out though, that’s what I’m very thankful for. I wouldn’t mind all this cosmetic condition though but that $600 deposit situation changed the whole picture of the hotel tbh.

This place has undisclosed charges. They ask for credit card upon check in and say no charges will be applied but then a receipt is given to me for a payment I didn't agree to. The outside of the room felt like a "prison" set up, there was holes and hair in the bed and appeared to have already been slept in, no hospitality or information given about the place,I wouldn't recommend. The pictures show a very different view about the place.

This place is a hit and miss. Housekeeping was spotty. Requested for tidy up after 2nd night but they failed to replenish the tea/chocolate drink and threw away my shower cap without replacing any. Certain housekeepers (some were nice) should really be taught not to stare at their guests like we were strange and to greet or at least lend a smile. Frontdesk isn't any warmer but they get the job done, which is alright. There's a back entrance/exit which I used 90% of the time to avoid bumping into the staff. Curtains in the room failed to shut out bright light from next door carpark/building throughout the night. I had to improvise by using the clips from the hangers to "clip" the curtains together. Overall, it is an ok place to stay if you can overlook service quality. It's a good place to stay away from the crowd and noise.

Tea not replenished, curtain doesn't close all gaps, inner towel rack is too narrow and bit of dirt that I found in the washed bath towels are a few of the gripes that I have. Other than those gripes, Adina is a decent hotel. Oh, the kitchenette in our room doesn't have a stove if you are expecting one.

Centrally located only 200m from Spark Arena we have stayed here a quite a few times now when attending events. The apartment booked was averaged priced, a good size, plenty of space being open plan with a lounge, kitchen and small dining area. Basic tea and coffee is provided but was very minimum. It was disappointing the apartment wasnt serviced during our stay and that we had to keep contacting reception for items not provided; dishwashing liquid, tee towels, dishcloth, hot chocolate. There was no info in our apartment either on how to connect to wifi or how to operate aircon or tv or that you can order room service from cafe/bar downstairs. Plus if you're staying multiple days like us be aware although there is free wifi there is also restriction on usage within a 24hr period. Lastly on checkout dont make same mistake we did of handing over your room cards if you parked in underground hotel carpark. We werent told when we checked out you need a card to get out of the carpark so just in case you forget, the bell to notify reception to open the gate is a button on the bottom of the swipe pad on the post at the exit.😀

Good location, close to the shops, decent walk to the seafront. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Really reliable. Rooms are tired and would benefit from a good deep cleaning. Planning is so inconvenient. One or two nights can be tolerable, but not more. The air-conditioning system is pure evil. Can't tune it down, can't turn it off - it just blasts freezing air at mad truck speed.

Our room is nice and quite big, well equipped with everything we need. They have private parking and costs 35 NZ$ per day. Location is in a quiet area, 15 min walk till the center. The guy from the reception was very polite and patiently answered to all our questions.

We stayed in a double story/loft style apartment, very cool layout. The staff were so friendly, every staff member, including cleaning staff throughout the hotel greeted us, including offered us the elevators first. Our apartment was clean, spacious and well equipped, with comfy beds. Bonus having a coffee pod machine. Sadly no view (room 6012) but beautiful large opening doors. Walking distance to the supermarket and wharf area, this was a massive bonus. Would happily stay again, though on the other side next time.

Front staff lovely to interact with, answered any questions clearly and to the point. Cleanliness definitely needs to be worked on. Mould on shower door skirting. Lino in kitchen area, tiles were clean, the grout, not so much. Felt like I did more to keep the room clean than they did. Room was serviced but hot drink station wasn't refilled and didn't replace laundry power for the machines. Room was also not vacuumed. Salt shaker was empty when I arrived in the room. Left it on the bench open so staff could refill it but they didnt. Had to request it the next day. Parking definitely stressed me out, as I constantly worked late into the evening and it is first come first served. There are numbered bays, not sure why they don't assign a bay to each display ticket they give you for your car. $35 per day for a not guaranteed space. Stayed for just over two weeks. Definitely has the potential to be a great hotel. Great location, great facilities. Good for a couple nights. Not great for long periods.

I really loved this place, the service was top notch, the apartment was very fancy, clean and had everything in it you could possibly need while away. We stayed there as the location was perfect for a concert at spark Arina right across the road. Def wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Great stay, booked the apartment the night before my wedding and surpassed all expectations. Very spacious, modern and clean. Nice views and the staff were really accommodating to all the people coming and going I.e photographers, make up artists, friends & parents etc. Exceptional service and they even allowed late check out to accommodate on the day of my wedding. A complimentary bottle of bubbles upon arrival and a lovely card made it even more special. Cannot recommend highly enough and will definitely look to book again soon.

Adina is a great hotel if your looking to go to spark arena because it’s just across the road from it. The room wasn’t sizeable but it was pretty good for 2 people and it was cosy. The service was pretty good but didn’t do anything extreme so I’ll keep it at 4 stars. There are kitchen and laundry services too. Overall it’s a pretty good hotel for people going to spark arena and/or family and groups.

Recently stayed here for two nights when going to the twenty one pilots gig. Super close to the venue. Staff were really friendly. The accommodation was really clean and well laid out. We had a great stay and will definitely return if we are ever back in Auckland! :)

.we had very limited time in Auckland and were held up by hotel problems. Upon check in I was asked for a 600 dollar bond to be put into our debit card for 2 nights which we were never told about on the phone. We were sent to the wrong room first, the door opened and we got settled to discover we had been sent to the wrong room where the power wasn't working and it was freezing cold. An hour later we had to pack up and move to the room we had booked the top penthouse. The floors were covered in black marks and not clean. The pull out bed had black hair all over it and chip crumbs all over it. The room had visible signs of leaking. The shower head was leaking two lights were blown in the kitchen lounge area making it hard to see. The range hood top was disgustingly unclean and there was no sugar and one drinks worth of sachets. The fold out bed had no linen and I got told it is an extra $50 a night on top of the $1000 for two nights. The dryer is overdue for replacement and was struggling with 4 kids clothing items in it, the dishwasher didn't work. 3 stes of cutlery for a family apartment and no instructions on Wifi. The cards kept losing their pairing all the time and I had to ask for new cards 3 times in a 2 night stay. Checkout is 11am but they cancelled my room cards at 10.30am leaving me confused and stuck in the basement about why I couldn't get back up to the top level. Breakfasts were very small and not up to restaurant standard. Upon arrival we were greeted with a manager telling us to dispose of our masks and wear there disposable masks as one of the guests had Covid. The reception staff however are very friendly and go the extra mile. The basement carpark card readers were a pain. My son is sick since we stayed at this hotel. Vouchers were offered and accepted for the problems we encountered.

I had good experience for my stays in other Adina hotels, hence naturally, Adina Apartment Hotel Auckland is my choice for 2 night stays in Auckland. The experience was not satisfactorily. Firstly, privacy issue. The duty manager recorded my credit card details and keyed into the computer, not just swipe and pay. When asked, he told me this is the common practice in the hotel industry (including the 3 hotels that he previously worked at). I have not encountered this for my previous hotel stays, i.e. worldwide including NZ. He added that the credit card details are encrypted and cannot be seen by the hotel staff. This does not address my question, why would the hotel require the 16 digit credit card numbers and the expiry date when payment had gone through? Secondly, the cleanliness (especially bathroom) needs attention. Thirdly, the common corridor is not completely shelftered (see pics) and we got wet in the rain. Overall, the stay is disappointed and make me wary of choosing Adina in future.

The hotel staff were polite and friendly. The room was very clean — leaning almost towards sterile. The location is excellent for anyone going to see a show at the Spark Arena b/c it’s literally steps away. The room had a well stocked mini-kitchen and dining area. It’s near a grocery store and park and you can easily walk to the viaduct in about 15-20mins. It was perfect for a short stay for mom, dad, toddler.

The hotel is very comfortable, not too far from the Quay area. The staff were really helpful and kind from the moment we step foot at Adina, especially Mai! They gave us a lot of information about Auckland, and made sure that everything was alright with us. The rooms were clean, and aside from the laundry room being on the ground floor, everything was quite nice. At the restaurant bar attached to the hotel, they played some nice live music on second Wednesdays which was great for relaxing.

I stayed a while back with family. The hotel is well priced and well located. The service was good, especially considering that the place was short staffed. The rooms are well appointed and quite nice, however there were clear signs of wear and tear. I paid extra for a sofa bed which was extremely uncomfortable ( you could feel the springs which poked into your back), considering the extra price a simple mattress topper on top of the sofa bed mattress would have appreciated. I would avoid asking for a sofa bed unless 100% necessary.

Clean, spacious and conveniently located. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful. I stayed here for a work trip, but when I go back to Auckland for personal travel, I'll be staying here again.

This is a lovely, peaceful, homely, clean, very comfortable & warm hotel. We slept so well on the comfortable Queen size bed. Everything was so welcoming & inviting on a cool autumn day in Auckland. It is located at the bottom of town near Quay St but is close enough to walk to pubs/clubs/restaurants as well as the local supermarket. It was also really reasonably priced for what we got which was a an awesome executive studio apartment with kitchen & laundry facilities which was so cool to have that for a change. We didn't really need to talk to staff but the ones we did talk to were very nice & friendly. Would definitely go back their again!!! Highly recommend this hotel.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble when we asked. Excellent location, close to the Arena, supermarket and places to eat. Clean and tidy, with a very comfortable bed. Was a bit worried about the location of loo beside an exterior frosted glass wall with light on, but that's my issue really. Would happily stay here again.

Pros Good location Rooms are spacious Got a good deal for 5 nights Staff generally pleasant Cons Any(most?) rooms facing west will *majorly* overheat with the afternoon sun. Even with curtains closed. The room would be stinking hot and the aircon (which is central and can’t be controlled) would not cool it to any kind of comfortable temperature. I mentioned this on my first day to reception and nothing was seemingly done about it, upon mentioning it again on day 3 I I was offered to change rooms. I ended up not bothering. The beds are two singles/doubles pushed together. And if you’ve stayed in one of these before, it’s not that comfortable as you can sink within the crease when trying to sleep. House keeping was patchy. There are no toilet brushes in the bathroom and the toilet was not cleaned. At least provide toilet brushes if your house keeping doesn’t intend to clean. The block out curtains have a gap, so unless you fasten with something light will always stream in. Bottom Line The cons outweigh the pros This was not a comfortable stay Only the price paid is a positive

Stayed here a couple weekends ago, all the staff was so friendly, Food in the Restaurant was good! didn’t get to try a lunch or dinner unfortunately but breakfast was great! The hotel room was clean and spacious. Was great as going to a concert at spark arena, less than a two min walk- but still near sites and activities in the cbd! recommend if your going to spark for a show!

All the stuff I left in the room during the day was thrown out. If for some reason you stay here make sure to bring everything with you during the day.

We stayed in a 2 BR apartment for 2 nights. It is close to few Cafes and restaurants. Bedrooms are spacious and clean. Our one has 2 bathrooms ( one is attached to main BR and the other one near the entry). Internet connection is easy and smooth. The room is equipped with all the essential things including dishwashers , microwave and fridge. The espresso coffee machine is bonus! They charged extra for secured underground car parking space -which is also quite spacious. Check in process was easy and quick. Staffs are mostly helpful and friendly. The only thing we found inconvenient was the corridor from the room to the lift is not under cover so during our stay, there was rain and the whole corridor was wet and every time we needed to go to lift we got wet. Otherwise nice stay.

Stayed for 5 nights and was not offered or provided any housekeeping services. Requested service multiple times and was ignored. Would not recommend a longer term stay. The staff make it completely obvious that customer service is not a priority.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom/2 bath for four nights. The hotel was understaffed and had to wait numerous times at the front desk for help. The room we stayed in needed some maintenance and when I tried to explain this to the manager on duty (disposal button broken, lights broken, etc.) he dismissed it that "maintenance would take care of it" when he hadn't even heard what was broken. Housekeeping was wonderful and always provided us what we needed in a friendly manner. The hotel needs some upkeep.

These rooms are leaking, dirty and worn out. For 500 dollars a night I expect clean and respectable. The manager promised us vouchers for a free room stay for the problems that he never gave us

Stayed here recently this month and loved my room. The controllable ac made it feel like winter during this very hot summer. The shower is so large and spacious with very good pressure. The beds themselves were very soft and comfortable especially the pillows. The location itself is very central so many things are in walking distance. However one member of staff made my stay quite unpleasant. When I was checking in, I was told that because I don't have a credit card I needed to pay a 200$ bond. I understand why bonds are necessary to protect the hotel however the way it was handled wasn't very professional. It felt like I was being talked down to, possibly because of my age or how I looked I'm not sure. It does disclose in the email a bond may be needed but doesn't say how much. I've just skimmed over there reviews and It seems like this has been happening for quite sometime and nothings changed. While the hotel itself is beautiful and a pleasant stay, the staff made me feel very unwelcome. I will say that not all of them are like this.
