I stayed here with my two daughters as we were attending the lizzo concert, the only good thing I will say about this hotel/apartments is the location is excellent especially if your visiting the spark arena for a event. The welcoming when we arrived was not very welcoming at all no information was given to us about the “restaurant” or anything else to do with our stay, we got up to our room thought it was ok…. Heard a horrible irritating sound… it was the heat pump it was cold while we stayed and the heat pump made that sound the whole time it was on, we switched it off and called reception for a spare blanket an hour later nothing so I called again half an hour later a man finally arrived with two spare blankets. The breakfast at the restaurant…. everything is store bought and cold. Every time we had come out of our room we were greeted by a trolly of dirty laundry right by the lifts, yuk Nesuto do not provide in room service if you ask me they don’t provide any kind of service and that’s just being honest. When I asked a lady if we could have a couple of the little breakfast jam packets the response I got was really rude as they are not complimentary The next morning I was looking for a iron ya know there’s an ironing board in the room so surely there’s an iron hmmm 🤔 nope so I call and ask for one and nothing no one bought one up, then we decided to do our washing before going home the dryer on the wall was only hanging on by one bolt on one side and kept stopping so I went and spoke to reception he organised for a man to come up at 8 am which he did put the dryer back on the wall then had to come back half an hour later because it was still stopping after being started so he bent the door of the dryer as it was “out of place”and it went. When checking out there was no thank you nothing, this place is shocking never again, if I could give this place a 0 I would but nesuto you can have a 1 and that’s only for the location nothing else, I literally could of stayed at the Cordis for cheaper and got a quieter, warmer, better room and treated better as a guest

listen, I wasn't expecting a 5 star hotel. but I was however expecting more than a 2 star experience. apon arriving we had to wait in the reception area for a good 10 minutes before anyone even came to the front desk with no bell to ring for service. the room itself wasn't bad but you could tell the couch was old as the cushions have started to pull apart etc. the beds and pillows weren't to mine or my boyfriends personal liking but that's an us issue, not a hotel issue and unlike most hotels, this one doesn't have room service/cleaning for your room while you stay. there were trolleys with clean sheets, new bathroom products etc so things were being cleaned, just not our room and I would assume other rooms that have current occupants.(I personally haven't heard of a hotel that doesn't do room service during your stay but this was our experience) it does get very noisy in the hotel as one of the nights I heard loud banging and screaming until early morning. we also found a cockroack on the wall so that was concerning when wanting to check out they told us we couldn't leave until they'd had someone go up and inspect the room which was inconvent and odd because in the past, the hotel has been able to refund the bond without us physically being there. after someone had inspected the room we were told we would have to wait a further 10 minutes as they'd found a big stain on the carpet and needed someone to clean it so they could explain cleaning costs to us etc. I told them it wasn't a stain and that I had accidentally kicked over a glass of water the day prior and the water just hasn't dried yet. there was another lady that came down (I'm assuming the person who peoformed the inspection) she had a photo of the "large stain" and I again explained it was water that had been knocked over the day prior. she then proceeded to look over at her Co worker and said "yesterday?" and made a face that indicated she felt I was lying. it was incredibly uncomfortable and unprofessional.(they did end up letting it go and we were refunded the full price of the bond) I understand that working in customer service you have moments where you need to vent about customers but my advice to you is wait until they leave as you end up creating an atmosphere that isn't enjoyable and becomes awkward overall, won't be coming back

The rooms are bright and comfy but the AC in the apartments is only in the living room which made the bedrooms warm and our AC was very noisy. The washer/dryer in the apartments were very easy to use and convenient. The Nook restaurant attached to the hotel is limited (3 main dishes) and expensive. A light sleeper might struggle as the streets are very noisy. The service was great tho

Our recent stay at Nesuto was marred by a series of disappointments, highlighting a lack of proactive and attentive service that significantly impacted our overall experience. Upon check-in on the New Year’s Eve, we encountered an indifferent staff member who failed to provide any information about the hotel's facilities. This lack of communication set the tone for our stay, as we later discovered the gym's closure at 7 pm and the second day, a detail crucial to our plans, which was never communicated to us during our inquiry at 5 pm. Furthermore, our simple request for a towel change, made in an effort to save their staff some work, was also overlooked. Returning to the room without new towels was disappointing and showcased a lack of attention to guest requests. Attempts to contact the reception from our room proved futile, as no one answered the phone despite multiple calls throughout the day. It was claimed because it was too busy, but when we went downstairs, the reception area appeared unattended. The reception was also short-staffed, especially during peak times. It’s understandable for them to cut staff to save money for public holidays, but it just doesn’t seem right for a starred hotel. When we checked out, there was only one Asian lady at the reception, who was super busy and had to handle a queue of 5 guests. Regardless, she was the only highlight during our stay as she’s super friendly and helpful, as well as provided heaps useful info to the guests, unlike the guy checked us in. In summary, the overall service at Nesuto was far from satisfactory. From indifferent staff during check-in to a lack of communication about facility closures and unresponsiveness to guest inquiries, our experience was marred by a series of shortcomings. Unfortunately, the service fell short of the basic expectations one would have for a hotel, leaving us with an unsatisfactory impression.

I had an excellent 3-night stay here for my trip to Auckland. Convenient distance from Spark Arena and walking distance from the main city centre. The gentleman at the front desk allowed me to check into my room early at 7am! As I’d just gotten off an overnight flight so I really appreciated this. The room was spacious and comfortable but nothing special. Housekeeping didn’t seem to make up my room but they replenished towels.

Absolutely outstanding customer service. I was there to help my sister her son at Starship and the guy basically knew all the details to make checking in a breeze and stress free. The clerk used to work for Sony and should get a raise. His attentiveness, his service made me feel welcome in an awkward circumstance. Some of the best service I've seen. Rooms were clean and tidy, very lovely room and bed was comfortable.

Couldn't be better for a Spark Arena event. Staff more than efficient.. for example duty manager Steven A anticipated questions we might have asked like parking and had maps etc ready. Our room was very big. The water pressure for the shower was excellent. It was our first time with this hotel brand. We stayed 2 nights and were very happy thank you.

Location, location, location! Nesuto Stadium had the best location for our Auckland trip. We did have a rental car for visiting areas not within walking distance, but there was so much to do in the area. It wasn’t as convenient to walk to the parking garage because we always had a stroller with us. There is a grocery store (Countdown) next to the hotel that we visited frequently for stocking our apartment kitchen. This allowed us to prepare more healthy meals for our toddler. We had a two bedroom apartment which included a living space, kitchen, dining table, and a washer & dryer in the bathroom. Unfortunately the cold water on the washer didn’t work upon arrival but maintenance fixed it the following day. We did a few loads of laundry but found the washer wasn’t the best. The apartment looked new/refurbished but had signs that showed it’s age. There was a visible hole in the wall under the bathroom sink Appreciate the front desks help with arranging a taxi in the early morning and offering an umbrella when it was raining. Side note, apartment rooms are only cleaned every 3 days.

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment on a recent girl's trip. The room was a great size and had all the amenities we needed. It was clean and tidy, (though could have done with some simple artwork if i was fussy) and bed could do with an update (although a few wines sorted that). A functional kitchen, washing machine, hair dryers and spa bath were included and we were pleased to have a balcony. A bit pricey for one night, but excellent proximity to Spark Arena and easy walk to viaduct bars and restaurants. On site carparking was $30 overnight, although it was a little difficult to find entry initially. Overall a good stay and I would return.

I stayed here on a work trip. Hotel very well presented. Big comfortable room. The background temperature of the room was near perfect, hardly had to use the air conditioning. Breakfast was very nice. Reception staff are welcoming and professional.

LOVED my stay here. Check in was easy, it’s situated right by Spark Arena which was so convenient and Britomart station isn’t even that far from the hotel- probably a 5-7 minute walk. Queen street isn’t too far away, so many good eating spots near the hotel, countdown is right beside it! Can easily give this place a 10/10. Also, their breakfast is so so good as well. If you have a concert to go to at spark arena, definitely stay here! You won’t regret it 🫶🏽

Best location ever! We could easily find things to do and places to eat from this location. Staff was kind enough to help us with storing our luggage, and did not get upset when we had to pull things out from it, a number of times while waiting for our rooms to be cleaned.

Great hotel close to Spark arena and Britomart. This was my first stay and i was really pleasantly surprised by the hotel! Im a gold member of hotels.com and received some free benefits during a promo such as free parking, breakfast and a bottle of wine. This made our room super cheap for the night when taking these things into consideration. The room itself was a decent size, comfortable, lovely shower, clean and with a lovely balcony. We found it pretty quiet and im not sure there was anyone else staying on the tenth floor with us haha. The staff were really good to deal with, breakfast in the attached restaurant really yummy, and parking a breeze. I found it handy to have a large mirror (not full length) in the bathroom, usb plug points and a fridge. The complimentary chocolate was also a nice detail :) Id love to see the following improvements, full length mirror on the back door of the wardrobe, robe hooks in the bathroom to hang your towels or clothes, shower cap, extra toilet roll, compendium and a luggage stand. I would definitely stay here again!

Our room had two single beds put together, disguised as a double bed. Was extremely uncomfrotable to sleep in. We moved the next day. The first towel I used had a hole in it and the second one was stained. You have to walk to the carpark from the hotel and if its raining, its not very convenient. It was a struggle with our luggage. There isnt proper room service. The staff were really nice though.

We had a room on the top floor. It was a Dulux suite. Had expect something a little bit bigger but it was rather small. Bed was very nice. The balcony area was a nice addition but the air-conditioner had bird poop all over it and the lock on the sliding door Was very loose and had to be pulled close together in order to get it to work. At over $400 for two of us it was quite expensive but the location close to the spark Arena was amazing. Bought my daughter here to watch Billie Eilish and the close proximity was incredible. Staff very polite accommodating. Breakfast included which we are about to go and eat now.

Stayed here after flight cancelled to Brisbane. Absolutely fantastic service. Kept bar and restaurant open to ensure all passengers off flight were catered for. Arrived there around 11pm, bar manager was amazing. Top marks to him and all his staff. Would definitely stay there again.

Over-priced and under appointed. There is absolutely nothing special about the room and the bathroom needed an urgent upgrade. Reception staff unfriendly and unhelpful. But I've stayed in worse and the location is handy so I'll give it two stars. But it's absolutely not worth what they're charging. Oh yes, and don't let the photos fool you... you have to pay more for a room with a balcony.

A good two night stay in a Superior Room. We caught the airport link bus & train into Auckland CBD and walked an easy approx. 10 minutes to the hotel. While Auckland is hilly this hotel is not situated in a hilly area. Our stay included daily breakfast which was a buffet including cereals, pancakes, fruit, yoghurt, sausages, bacon , eggs, mushrooms, toast, pastries, tea, coffee & juice. Good size clean room & bathroom with a comfortable bed and usual room amenities. Website photos were accurate. Room was quiet & complimentary WiFi good. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. We had one small misunderstanding with breakfast being included in our rate - as we had booked through a third party site using frequent flyer points this was initially missed but promptly & happily rectified by staff, no issue. Good access to public transport (buses) right outside hotel which was great as we did not have a car. 10 minute walk to Downtown Ferry Terminal. Would stay again

Professional accommodation at a reasonable price. This occasion was an overnight business stay but would book again for this or a spark Arena event. The toiletries/ bathroom consumables were also the best I've used from any accomodation.

This is always our go to place to stay at. Staff, rooms and location are awesome. Was raining and we didn't have an umbrella but we were given one to borrow. Little gestures like that make places better than others. Can't recommend this place enough. 5 stars all day every day

Interesting place, didn't really spend long there as it was arranged by Air New Zealand after a disrupted flight from Queensland. But the amenities were all there, only time for a few hours sleep, bathroom use, and a cup of coffee. Big thank you to the guy on the counter, arranging rooms for all of us at 3am (some wanting extra beds for kids).

We ended up having a very late check in here due to a delayed flight from Sydney, but the night staff were very helpful and made the check in process smooth and efficient. The location is quite good and on the outskirts of the CBD, and there is parking in the adjacent building for a standard cost of $30 per night. We managed to get a packaged deal and receive complimentary parking, so definitely look out for those deals. The rooms are pretty clean and nice, with a table and a desk if you need to do any work at all. Our room was definitely more of a serviced apartment, but perfect for what we needed with our 3 kids. Breakfast is right downstairs and is decent but with a fairly small selection of items. Worth checking out if you are coming to Auckland. There are numerous car hire companies within walking distance of the hotel, so bear that in mind if you are arriving late at night and don't wish to organise a hire car from the airport.

Great location for Spark Arena and CBD but unfortunately those are the only two highlights of the stay. The room was unclean and proper dirty in some parts. No house cleaning during the stay so no clean towels, no replenishments of tea/coffee/milk. No information booklet which seemed strange; I’ve never stayed anywhere that didn’t have at least the basics (how to call out, wifi info, check-out time) and a really loud environment. Not a great stay unfortunately; overly expensive for what it is.

Stayed for a concert at Spark Arena and location is second to none, was in room within 5 mins, and quick walk to Queens Street, Britomart and Commercial Bay. Payed $250 a night with no breakfast included and no room service for staying 2 nights, so price steep service wise, otherwise room modern with a heat pump so climate is perfect year round.

Beware of scamming at reception. As other reviews reported and we didn't listen because this place has so many "good" reviews (we now realize are likely faked). They tried to charge us $750 for 2 nights when their website reported $134/night for a studio. We had reserved months in advance for $200/night upon showing this, that was what we were charged. They never mentioned that the price was actually lower just gave us an "upgrade" into a room we didn't need because I was so shocked by their actions and vocalized this. We were too tired from such a late arrival due to transport delays to go back and haggle with them. It's just disgusting that they practice business like this, it should be illegal. What an awful experience during our honeymoon. I have no desire to ever return to this city after this experience.

  • 1/5 Luke G. 5 months ago on Google
They tried to charge us $750 when we arrived even though the site booked it for us at $430. They fixed it when we caught them and called them out on it, and showed them the email confirmation. The rooms were nice, but I don't appreciate the shady business.

Everything from security guards to front desk and hotel management were patient and made sure we receive the quality services with passion and smiles on their faces. It was such a wonderful stay with delicious food, comfortable room, accessible services and stores in the area and healthy environment. Thank you for the services.

Lovely apartment that are well designed. Comes with full laundry service within the unit as well. Location is great and we were able to walk around in the city easily.

Room was quite nice but be expected to check in later than you are told. Arrived at 2:45 for a 3pm check in and got told “20 more mins” 3 times. Didn’t end up checking in till after 4pm. We were rewarded with a late check out but I think this is a domino effect where they are giving people late check outs and not getting rooms cleaned in time for people to check in on time. 1 staff lady was very passive aggressive about the whole situation too.

The reason I stayed at Nesuto was to attend a concert at Spark Arena, which is basically around the corner. So, super safe if you're sole traveler. The amenities are great. The location is also perfect, it's close to some of the main tourist sites in Auckland.

Nice big room at a good price in a central location with an excellent shower. A perfect base for exploring Auckland. Breakfast is OK although not exceptional. Service is a little bit chaotic, but all issues are quickly resolved with a smile.

Convenient location. Good sized rooms and comfortable bed. The side facing the sea is quieter than the rooms on street side. Tea and coffee making facilities only, so no other cutlery or plates if you intend to have a meal in your room, but there are closeby establishments to eat at anyway. Bathroom is s good size with toiletries provided. A cupboard wardrobe has a safe if you need it.

Lovely clean rooms and apartments very spacious. It is a shame the hotel was super busy and there was only 1 staff member on at check in and check out making the lobby area a bit chaotic.

Absolutely appalling, our room stunk of cigarette smoke, dirty old and tired looking room. Utensils were dirty. Was told by receptionist that we would get compensation when we discussed in the morning with the manager. Our room cost $540 and they said they would give us $50 off. What a joke. Insulting.

Awesome hotel. Staff are so lovely and helful. 24hour reception is so handy too. Parking is a little expensive at $30 a day if its not included in your booking but thats really the only down fall. Enjoyed the family room. Has everything you need with an extra small room that we didnt expect so that was a bonus. Thank you for an enjoyable stay. Would definitely recommend.
