The price was affordable! Location awesome to lower queen street!! And the handy little carpark across the road was affordable, the one down beside the accom also helpful overnight as it's FREE between 6pm & 8am!!! If you can nab a park! The shower was HOT 🔥 & good pressure, didn't leak all over the bathroom floor! 10/10 shower, room opened onto the big tree, which was nice ! Only downfall, the lift was out, so no good if you have bad legs, or something. Staff were awesome 🖤

It was alright. Was pretty excited to stay here after being at a different backpackers. However, we were unaware that the elevators weren't working (we got told AFTER we paid for our visit..) so Everytime we left our room to go to our car or to get something to eat, it was a long walk up and down the stairs. Not what you would expect from a place with many floors... On the plus side- the staff are LOVELY. Polite, friendly, helpful. The lady at the counter let us check out a little bit late ,didn't tell us off or charge us. Lovely people that work there

Second time there. Not all rooms are equal. Asked for a high floor if elevator fixed, if not lower. Got highest floor and still no elevator. I travel with gear so even though only three floors this was important. Asked to change but couldn't. No iron or board in room, was a drama to find one. Windows taped shut so very stuffy cell. Lastly, never used the kitchen last time, a disgrace and needing multiple things done to bring it up to food grade. Location and price great, but there are better budget options out there

It is a nice place for the price. Staff aren't overly friendly but aren't rude either. Room cleanliness could be improved, ie bin is broken, sink had a bit of rubbish in it. Shared kitchens could be better equipped (could be other guests taking stuff to their rooms and not returning it) as we had no spoon for breakfast and there was only one bowl. Light above mirror is super great idea, but bulb isn't working. Otherwise good place especially for the price and super close to Spark Arena and Queen Street.

A truely rotten place that ruins this area as a whole. Be aware this is more of a in between house for people straight out of prison, then a hostel

Kitchen on Level3 very clean due to residents on that floor. No elevator available to res. Bathroom (toilet in my room) needs updating altho water pressure is amazing in shower🙏🏿Very grateful for accommation but pricing shud be re- assessed Seriously

Staff is nice. The place is clean but the kitchen is not well equipped. My room stinks and the wifi signal is very poor but the bed is comfortable. They have the cheapest laundry: $3 for 46min of washing machine and $3 for 1h of dryer!

To say this building has a cockroach problem is an understatement. During my one night stay my room was visited by three large cockroaches. Cleanliness is also an issue, with various stations and chunks of wallpaper missing from the walls

Very tidy inexpensive accommodation right down in Akl CBD. Walk to eateries, bars etc. Twin or double-bed rooms with bathroom, toiletries, tea coffee facilities and fridge ($63 per night in Nov 2020). Happy, congenial reception staff. Exceptional value for such a location.

There's a tenant who somehow is allowed to have a rabbit and just let it run around the bush area in between ANZAC and Beach Road COMPLETELY ALONE. People are clearly concerned about this thing being left alone all.day but his owner just screams at them from his window and does nothkng about it. I thought pets weren't allowed and either way, This is completely horrible and is clearly aggressive to the passers by. This needs to be fixed

Not bad place But had a bad experience staying there My partner had bad bite from bed bugs and got swelling on all over her body rash was so bad we had to go to the clinic across the road was given medicine to bring the rash down which worked I told the receptionist about it but she said all rooms were clean and no refund or nothing was done to make us feel better. I would say Pls improve the cleanliness of each rooms bed linen and make sure it don’t happen to other people who going to stay there. I know I won’t be going back for sure

Would give zero stars if possible. I booked and paid for the stay 3 months in advance, only to arrive and find that they had ‘no vacancy’. Apparently our room had been unavailable yet we were still able to pay for it? Months in advance! Without being told it was unavailable! I was left with a few hours to find a new place to stay for the night after travelling 6 hours to get to Auckland. I thought My partner and I would have to sleep in my car on the side of the road. The staff were unapologetic and unbothered. DO NOT STAY HERE
