    Good customer service, Prices needs to cheaper because the same quality jewellery way cheaper online websites, Chinese shops & other shops, from customer point of you, you need to shop around to save money, layaway(lay buy) and buy now pay later services are everywhere

    Brought a ring here ($600).Within two weeks it broke so I took it back. The staff member remembered me and we sourced the same style that fitted. Unfortunately after a month that one broke too... Again they replaced the ring and I haven't had any issues since (a year ago now)

    Rude manager and bad customer service. I was told to go to this branch from a different branch to get a replacement for a chain since the connecting piece broke. The shop assistant was being helpful with me and then the manager randomly stepped in and was extremely rude to me. She was accusing me for breaking the connecting piece on purpose although I explained that I had only worn it a few times. I was explaining the situation and then she finally said they didn't have the replacement piece and that they would let me know when they have stock of the piece. They never contacted me again and I never wanted to go back as the manager was rude to me and wasn't willing to help although the store was not even busy during the time. Definitely wouldn't recommend going to this branch.

    It's a big store located in the center of the queen street. Lots of options for choosing and the staff were also super nice and helpful.

    I took there my ring for resize. After it was resized, I noticed that the ring is noticeably narrower at the resize spot, and the colour is also different. I called the branch from which I bought the ring, and they asked for some photos. I sent them the photos, and they apologized and told me that they had called the manager of Vulcan Lane branch, and all I needed to do was take the ring to them. However, when I went there to give them the ring, the manager told her coworker to say to us that she was busy and couldn't collect the ring and we needed to come back another time with a booking in advance. The worst part was there was no other customer in the store ( or at least I didn't see any other customer just to be fair), and there were two staff there when they were telling me that they didn't have time for me to fix their own mistake. The matter had already been discussed with them by the other branch manager, and all they had to do was collect the ring. They were much nicer when we went there to buy the ring compared to when we went there to use our care plan. Sorry for the long comment. Based on my experience, I don't expect good customer service there, and the 3 year care plan I got with my ring is not useful with such customer service.

    Terrible customer service, the employees follow you around everywhere and never give you space to browse. We couldn’t even enjoy having a look and chat (my partner and I) before an employee kept pushing for a sale. Was not enjoyable at all, we actually found that many jewellers in Auckland are pushy but this store was by far the worse They ask very personal questions and just get in your space the whole time when we mentioned we were just looking… a lot of customers end up purchasing when given the space and time to have a look for what they are wanting by the way.

    Got a few pieces of jewellery from this store and loving them - however the attitude of some staff lately is too annoying and I do not enjoy having a look in store anymore. I recently walked in to look at a jewellery set for my mother, the woman who showed me the set totally rushed me and even said “just buy it” with a forced smile. Told her I had to chat with my father as it is a joint present, and the woman instantly became grumpy and just packed everything back and left the counter. Needless to say, I walked out. Not really the greatest attitude when so much money and feelings are involved.

    TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. My partner went at 5pm today to have my engagement ring cleaned (which is part of our warranty). Open hours listed is until 6pm. When he arrived, the door was locked, shutters still up but no sign that they're closed. He waited outside the store and tried calling them but no answer. Rude lady in the store was completely ignoring him as she was attending to another customer. Understandable that she's busy but she could have easily politely told him to wait or to come back another time. She was not even acknowledging him as if he didn't matter. She shooed him away from inside as if he's not a valued customer. He arrived there well before closing time. Wasted his time walking all the way there for nothing. Not the kind of service we'd expect from Michael Hill. Especially since my partner spent a significant amount on my ring. My partner was treated as if he's a random beggar outside the store. Hope you improve your service. Train your staff properly.

    I bought this gold chain along with Men's diamond band on 29/06/2023 from Michael Hill Jewellers, Queen Street store after they applied for my Gem Visa card.They didn’t explain to me enough about any products and any process of how to pay back to Gem Visa and terms. I realized this chain was hollow and I don't buy hollow jewelery as I had a bad experience in the past. But I was happy with this diamond ring so kept it with me and started paying off on my Gem Visa. I visited back to store after a couple of weeks and asked them to return this chain and put money back on my GEM card with their 30 days change of mind period. I couldn't believe the way they treated me like I am a thief or culprit, and their comments made me feel worse about me. They said: It is your job to ask us if this is solid or hollow, not our responsibility. We gave a coffee and cookies to eat and why you are returning this chain. They didn't even give me any GST receipt first time, only valuation so I don't even know individual price for both items. After going again, I saw $159 PCP product added in total without asking me. Please cancel this as I don't need it. I wasn't expecting this kind of treatment with an immigrant in New Zealand.I have left this gold chain with Michael Hill since 23/07/2023 and waiting for them to return my money on Gem Visa.

    Staffs are very friendly. They will help you to find you what you are looking for. You can even browse products on their computer which provided for the visitors to check online. Store is well organised also in a beautiful location. Love the view from both inside & outside of the store.

    My mum was sold an engagement ring for around $3000 with a lifetime guarantee that if a diamond fell out it would be replaced for free. The lady who sold her it and told her she would never have to worry never told her she had to get it cleaned and inspected every 6 months and signed for too or it's not valid. So the ladies at the store were very happy to make my mum cry telling her that they will not honour the lifetime guarantee. She did get it cleaned but no one ever signed for.

    Worst service!! I went to queen's street store and placed an order for a watch and promise was to deliver it in one week. It's been more than 3 weeks. No calls/messages about the product. My question is, why did I even think that I need a watch?? that too Michael hill!! Gosh

    Horrible customer service. Went in to get an emerald ring resized. After seven weeks of waiting with no response contacted customer service and inquired as to why it was taking so long? Was emailed the next day telling me it was ready for pickup. Went in only to find nothing had been done about it. Complete waste of time. Better off going to Walker and Hall where I've had jewelry serviced in less than a week.

    Dreadful customer service. Visited recently to buy some earrings that I saw online. Asked if I could please see the gold thread earrings that had 3 gold balls on them. I get shown a gold ball earring that is not a thread first, and then a hoop earring and the lady says “this one”. I say no a “thread”. She says “oh maybe sold”. Didn’t look the item up and didn’t care that I walked out the door with my money

    Staff are unprofessional with the way they speak. I came in to buy bracelets and they were not helpful at all; the girl that served me was a trainee & the manager that was training her was rude. Also, I got the bracelets engraved and it was not good, would rate it 4/10. Wouldn't come back here again.

    I wouldn't go back to this branch anymore. When the staff realised that I just want to try the ring so that I could exchange it in another branch, they did not even try to help me anymore. The staff who initially wanted to help me out, was so rude and went away. I guess she only saw people as potential money with her sales! Very sorry for her mindset as a salesperson. If I find her name out, I will update my review but I wouldn't recommend this branch to anyone.

    Bought this a week ago, just recieved it as I had it resized. The lovely lady named Jiyong cho from Queenstreet was so kind and helpful. She made my experience very pleasant and easy, I didnt feel obligated or coerced. She treated my son to some cookies which helped him sit patiently which was lovely. Very stunning and high grade diamond ring i love it. Thank you

    Worst service ever. Please don’t buy it off them it’s a scam if you take your jewellery for manufacturing default assessment they always say it’s wear & tear no matter what. Don’t get scammed by them do not spend your money. They scam you with buying Professional Care Plan. After they get your money they just care about you anymore.There are so many complaints about them to Consumer Guarantee Act quality is poor.
