Great park. Easy access. Leads to city trails. Parking is good in cooler months.

Beautiful natural spring pool. It’s normally fairly clean but with the hot temperatures there’s more algae than usual so the shallow end is a bit slick on the bottom. The deep side is perfect to cool down on a 100 degrees day. They won’t let small children with floaties on the deep side though FYI. No food or drinks allowed on the grass, just the tables up top. The shallow end of the pool has a beach like entrance which is good for little swimmers.

Best place to lap swim in Austin. Spring fed, chlorine free, and 78F year round

The bad: Run like it's 1985, decent but not great. The good: maybe the best lap pool in America, beautiful spring water, sunset view, absolutely epic overall, super glad to have it!

I've lived here for 11 years, and went to the pool today for the first time and I absolutely loved it!!! The pool is huge and there is plenty of space to relax on the lawn. I will definitely be back regularly!

Spring fed and is always nice and cold even in the hot days of Texas summers. Has a nice shallow area that drops into a deep end. I prefer Deep Eddy over Barton Springs but both are very nice.

Best way to beat the heat in Austin. I can workout, outdoors, and feel refreshed in the cool water. It’s both athlete and kid friendly.

Great big pool. Lap pool on one side. Plenty of shade. It's spring water so it's very cold! Staff and lifeguards are very friendly. We'll be back!

Lovely walking trail, please if you are stressed, take the time to go for a walk, even just a few minutes

Such a fun find, excited to have been able to hit the pool. In evening in spring it was not to bad to get in a lane. I can see how this place can get slammed

Really lovely huge pool, with dedicated swimming lanes, a deep swim area, and a kids-friendly area, as well as a lot of lawn areas for lying in the sun and shade. Due to the water naturally changing 3x/day, as it is part of the natural river system, no chlorine is needed, so it is especially pleasant to swim in.

The are open year round, but the shallow side might be clised during winter. Parking can be an issue, but you can usually find a place close enough to walk. The having to buy tickets at one of those parking meters instead of paying the cashier directly is as annoying as ever other pool in Austin.

Great place for lap swim and or family outing. Plenty of shade and the pool is spring fed. Oh! It's FREE 9 AM - 7 PM Enjoy

This pool is deep in the heart of Austin and is a beautiful location, certainly something to check from your bucket list whether being local or visiting. You have a lap pool and a children's shallower pool, it also a well fed pool so no chlorine or any other chemicals are used and water is changed every day. It an Austin classic, you can visit and read about the pool history at a mural on site. Ice cones and convenient food is served at the entrance where there are tables to sit and eat. The rest of the pool does not allow any food or beverages except water. Enjoy the shade of great pecan trees and oaks, opens daily. There are restrooms and changing rooms on site.

One of Austin's true gems for recreational pleasure in Austin and although it's right near the busy fast moving streets leading in and out of the city center Deep Eddy hasn't changed much at all in the 20 plus years I've lived in Austin. Much like Barton Springs the water is so chilly and refreshing on a roasting hot day in the summer. A dip in the deep eddy pool which is primarily for lap swimming will leave you feeling cooled down for hours after you get out, provides that you don't take a hot shower afterwards, which is an option at deep eddy with 4 outdoor showers in both men's and women's dressing areas which are outdoor dressing areas. 5$ dollar charge is next to nothing to pay for such a great service. Even just to shower if you don't have one is accessable for a 5$ charge during regular hours. Located just off MoPac west side of downtown exits.

Went here on our visit to Austin! And it was a fun little excursion! Juice land is right up the hill so we stopped there after. I will say that if you don’t know what’s going on just look at what everyone else is doing, there’s machines to pay before hand then you go to the register. The kid at the register seems to hate life and his job so he wasn’t much help but we figured it out. Be careful coming in and out of the pool on the shallow side, very slippery. My little slipped and hit her head so we made sure to be near her coming in and out.

Would have loved to get into the pool but we got there during lane swim only and no one was in a hurry to finish so we laid out and left an hour later. Nice pool though. The gentleman at the front who you pay for entry was a little gruff but hey he's earned it.

Have made Deep Eddy a part of my summer weekends for the past decade or more and always look forward to it. Less crazy than Barton and the water is just as cold and refreshing. Especially love the shallow end for being able to play with my kiddo.

Love Deep Eddy. Its always refreshing and the vibe is very chill. The deep end is not usually too crowded. In the shallow end is beach front entry, which is good for little kids to splash. The whole pool is ginormous, so lots of room for everyone.
