Went for a walk here with an out of town friend the other day. We had a great time taking pictures, seeing turtles, wading, and clambering over rocks. The creek itself is very pretty but we came across a lot of trash. It was hard to even get photos without trash in them. It’s sad that visitors aren’t respecting the natural beauty of the area. The bathrooms were also locked and I didn’t feel comfortable using the lone porta-potty. Parking was ample the day I went but I’ve had trouble finding parking there in the past. It’s a good family outing for wading and a picnic but some of the areas on the paths would be hard to traverse with children.

DONT GO HERE unless you want your CAR BROKEN INTO while you are enjoying the park. My passenger window was completely destroyed I called and they didn’t do much. They don’t do anything to help the community. When I got there I did see that every single parking spot had glass on the floor I didn’t think nothing of it until I got back to my car to see my glass window on the floor and my car burglarized. This happens very very often and i never thought it would happen to me but it did and it can happen to you. It’s not worth it.

Wow! Finally explored this trail and had no idea how long this trail was and how green and close to water this is all while tucked into the hills, leaving you feeling lost in nature. This is a rough terrain area and has some minor rocks to climb around or up to continue on the trails. The only downside is how unkept some of the areas are, trails are hard to follow sometimes, not accessible to all, and some trash can be round all along. There are a few parking areas, these can fill up quickly on weekends and holidays. There are restrooms near the main parking lot, trash cans and grilling areas. Maybe bring a change of shoes or clothes that can get wet and a towel in the car. Hard to navigate here at night.

Unfortunately the water was mostly dried up. The trails were very unkept. There was trash in a lot of spots. The water that was there was green and had turtles and tad poles in it. There was also a lot of glass in the parking lot from people getting their cars broken into so will be mine for that and make sure you take all of your important items.

I love coming here. Our dog, Samba, really loves it. I thank God that the deadly algae problem hasn't affected this area of Bull Creek yet. Samba swims non-stop, it's about the only thing that can actually wear her out so we like to take her as often as we possibly can.

There are many trees still down from the freeze two months ago (feb 2023) but there was a local man clearing out the path with his mini chainsaw. Such a kind gesture for his community. We saw bluebonnets, snakes, butterflies, etc. It’s absolutely gorgeous, what you’re going to find out here. We went on a Saturday morning before the rush. Not too busy. Don’t leave anything in your car and you’ll be okay!

Fabulous place to spend a couple hours or the whole day! There are several entrances with parking so it's not often overcrowded at any particular one. It's like a bit smaller and less crowded Barton Springs Greenbelt. Very dog friendly, great for hiking and hanging out near/in the water. Not suitable for floating/rafting and only deep enough for actual swimming in a few areas.

Great place to go out and explore and enjoy yourself !The water is clear and cool the more upper you go !There is a little slide of stone as well as fresh water filtered through stone ,taste it if you want lol! They have mini waterfalls as well as some hiking trails up the hills !Truly a fun area to be around the only problem would be people hogging areas but besides that !10/10 would go again!!s:D

There was tons of leaves I would recommend bringing a pool net to clean it a bit before getting I'm. But otherwise it was great. The water level has lowered alot since last there so it was shallow great for kids but if you want to swim wait till the water level rises a bit more first.

Bull Creek Park is 3x more fun if you're willing to get your shoes wet crossing to the other bank. Great trails and vistas in the hills. Dog owners need to pick up better, though.

Bull Creek District Park is among my favorite places to go in the Austin area for a hike. There are numerous trails, Bull Creek at the bottom, and benches & restrooms. Maybe a mile or so from here there is even an abandoned VW Bus stranded in the woods. All around the greenbelt trail are an assortment of natural springs that flow during wet years as well. I highly recommend taking the time to visit this park.

It was a beautiful day and the fall colors were about as good as they ever get in Central Texas. Oh, and the pups had fun too!
