We stayed the weekend to celebrate our engagement and this was the most wonderful/relaxing stay We've ever had in Austin! Vicki (owner) was outstanding in providing whatever we needed for our special weekend! This place is right in the middle of where you want to be! There is a rooftop lounge area that we took advantage of the 360° views of Austin, it was too beautiful at night. The beds were comfortable and the Inn was very clean. We had dinner downtown and then headed back, only to realize that there is also a bar right on the corner, beside the Inn! So, a little nightcap to end the night was a nice cherry on top! We will be back to stay again!

My absolute favorite place to stay in ATX! I truly believe this is one of Austin's newest best kept secrets that won't be a secret for too much longer! I can't express enough how wonderful both of my stays were at Frances Modern Inn. The warm and responsive hospitality, the on point and surprising decor, the indoor / outdoor spaces, the coffee-machine, the neighborhood, the soaking tub, the soft linens, all of it! If you are considering staying here, book your reservation now! I can't wait to come back when their restaurant is open and the downstairs is finished. I am an Austin native who comes back a few times a year and this is such a beautiful addition to Austin's East Side. Love it.

This has to be the best kept secret in Austin. We had a fantastic stay and I can't say enough about how helpful and accommodating Vicki was throughout our visit. From the moment we arrived, she went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and that our stay was comfortable. The decor at the inn is so nice, with a cute and eclectic style that gives the place a unique and welcoming atmosphere. I loved the attention to detail in every corner of the inn, from the artwork on the walls to the carefully chosen furnishings. We also had no issues with parking and the location itself is in a prime area. We were literally walking distance from many restaurants and venues. The cleanliness of the space was also top-notch. It was evident that great care was taken to maintain a spotless environment, which added to the overall feeling of comfort and relaxation during our stay. Frances Modern Inn exceeded my expectations in every way, thanks in large part to Vicki's warm hospitality. I would highly recommend this charming inn to anyone looking for a cozy and memorable stay in Austin!!!

Me and my husband booked this hotel as a last minute thing and I’m glad we did. This has to be one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The room was very unique and clean. Staff was very friendly and the owner as well is extremely nice she made us feel so welcomed. They have good lounge area especially the roof top. We were surprised to have a cat welcome us by our room. We love cats. This is the hotel we stay at from now on when we visit Austin.

I stayed here while on a trip to Austin with my (now) girlfriend. We had such an incredible time, and the Frances Modern was a big part of that. The room was immaculate while also maintaining a level of charm that you do not get in a normal run-of-the-mill hotel. On top of that, Vicki was super accommodating and let us check in early and check out late, which made our trip even better. I highly recommend staying here if you're looking to visit Austin. You won't be disappointed!

LOVED the Frances Modern Inn! It was close to the airport and within walking distance to my nephew’s house. I stayed in the small room which was the perfect size for me. Each room door has its own unique door knocker. The bed was queen sized with such a comfy blanket. Plenty of fluffy pillows. Spent some time sitting on the window bench which doubled as drawers looking out the oval window. Plenty of drawer space for my week’s worth of clothes. The bathroom was huge with a rain forest shower head. They were complimentary bath products which I used every day. The room was cleaned daily. At night, my sister and I sat out on the patio playing cards, enjoying the complimentary sparkling water. Vicki and her staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Especially can’t wait to see Louie, the house cat, who is so friendly and actually hung out with me in my room. Looking forward to staying there again for my nephew’s wedding. I’ve booked the same room. It’s the only place I’d stay when I go to Austin.

Stayed at the Frances Modern Inn for two days while on business/visiting family. A wonderful discovery. Charming (I booked one of the "small" rooms, which was cozy and comfortable), spotless, and well-located. Vicki went out of her way to make sure every aspect of the stay went smoothly. Many thoughtful touches throughout, especially the lounges on each floor with complimentary coffee and beverages. I look forward to visiting again and seeing the newly completed lobby and restaurant, which were in the final stages of renovation.

I don’t even know where to start here. My husband and I booked the last room that was available here at the last minute (a week in advance) not realizing there was a Texas game this weekend. We were in a panic to find a nice hotel in a fun walkable area, and saw the 1 room remaining and booked. I can’t express how happy I am that we did. Both my husband and I have worked in hotels, and spend a lot of time traveling. The Frances Modern Inn is by far our new favorite hotel. The entire experience was perfect, from our early check in they were able to accommodate to our check out. The entire process was flawless. The rooms were beautiful as were all the shared spaces, such as the outdoor and rooftop patios, the library areas, and the super fancy coffee areas. The greeting crew, consisting of the beautiful black cat, Louie, was quick to welcome us on property and lead me to the owner, who showed me to out room. We felt welcomed and cared for. Can’t wait to come back once the restaurant is open!

The perfect place to stay in Austin if you want to be close to lots of things without having to be smack on Congress/downtown/etc. And you can't beat being just mere steps from Franklin's BBQ. The rooms were great with really comfy beds. They were doing construction on the restaurant while we were there but it wasn't an issue/nuisance at all. The espresso station on each floor was an absolute treat to walk out to in the morning. Would and will absolutely stay here again.

Absolutely loved our stay here! Check in was super easy and they graciously accommodated our request for an early arrival. Our room was beautifully decorated with the loveliest details - the glassware was gorgeous! We enjoyed the lounge on our floor for morning coffee and the rooftop lounge for a nightcap! And Louie joined us up top 😻Great location for restaurants and an easy walk to Moody Amphitheater at Waterloo Park. It was very clean, a comfortable bed, great amenities and great communication. And Louie!! We’ll definitely be back!

My husband and I came to Austin for a friend's party, and we took a chance and stayed at the Cat Noir Hotel. We were honestly very pleasantly surprised at how unique and wonderful an experience we had at this lovely boutique hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean, modern, and VERY comfortable. We booked a room with a large, separate, freestanding tub (not something we see at this price point), and we used it every day. The location is fantastic, and the people who work at or run the hotel are genuinely thoughtful and friendly. There is, indeed, a big black cat named Louie who hangs around and is fantastic (if you like cats, which we do!). We can't wait to come back and we will choose this hotel again, gladly. I recommend it highly!

Our experience from booking to check-out was awesome! We loved our room. It was unique, so comfortable and simply beautiful. The ladies we spoke to were so friendly and helpful - even loaning us outdoor chairs to wait for Franklin BBQ to open. The bathroom was awesome, and the products provided were so nice. The refrigerator was great to have. I really can't say enough good things about the experience. We loved it. We even met Louie the sweet cat!

We stayed at the Frances Modern in a “large” room for two nights to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We had a wonderful experience! The staff are very welcoming and accommodating and go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated with tasteful art and so many thoughtful touches. The bathtub and shower were excellent and spa-like. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel was very quiet at night even on a weekend. It is within easy walking distance of so many amazing restaurants, shops, bars, and more. We recommend the restaurants Paper Boy and Old Thousand- they are both just a few steps away from the hotel. The hotel roof deck has an awesome view of downtown. We would love to stay here again and definitely recommend the Frances Modern, it was the best hotel experience we have had! Thank you all at the Frances for helping make my husband’s birthday weekend special!

Our stay at the Frances Modern Inn was easily the best hotel experience my wife and I have ever had. And we travel a lot. The decor in the room was beautiful and inviting; the bed and stand-alone tub were super comfy and relaxing. The handwritten postcard welcoming us was a really nice touch. We appreciated the fridge on the open air patio on our floor stocked with tea and Waterloo. No detail is missed. Thank you for a great experience!

This place is a gem! So quaint and comfortable! Thoroughly enjoyed the clean room with luxury linens, cold beverages and espresso machine! The roof top lounge area was so cool to enjoy at sunset with the capital building lit up off in the distance. The counter service cafe in the lobby offers yummy options along with cocktails and specialty coffee. Everybody was so friendly and welcoming! It was a perfect place to enjoy an anniversary weekend!

I can't rave enough about this hotel. The location, the staff, everything about our stay was fantastic. I chose to stay here after a poor experience with the staff at a different Austin hotel. and Cat Noir exceeded our expectations from our first interaction. They upgraded our room to the large suite which was absolutely amazing. The staff was so kind and accommodating. Uncle Nicky's is attached and the bar staff there was so pleasant and we frequented there a few times during our stay. It's right next to a liquor store that also sells a handful of non-alcoholic drinks and was a life saver when we needed water. There's shopping and a coffee shop a few steps away, and a food truck park across the street. There's also plenty of scooters around and you can drive them a few blocks down to another food truck park. It was just an amazing experience overall and I can't recommend it enough. The only two "downsides" were the parking situation isn't exactly ideal, but that's what you get for East Austin. Luckily the staff was so accommodating with the parking. It was also a bit pricey but completely worth it, and I mean that. 10000% recommend!!!

Combining creativity with care- our stay was superb! We decided to have a staycation in our home town of Austin only a few minutes from our home and we could not be happier and more pleased. Upon our arrival we were not only warmly greeted, we were walked to our room and given a quick tour. The room was both modern and rich with tradition; the wall coverings gave a nod almost to the old fashion book inlays with deep greens and accents of black, very moody and relaxing. The bathroom with rain shower and soaking tub was appointed perfectly with everything needed for a squeaky clean and relaxed home spa feeling. Very comfortable bed and excellent bedding- just a home run over all. The location is just outside of downtown- with an excellent view from the roof deck; this allows some ease of navigating to and from the hotel avoiding the downtown hustle. The team was not only professional but extremely kind and thoughtful. So happy we decided to stay and will stay again!

This one was one our best hotel experiences! The staff and owners made us genuinely feel so welcomed. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a truly memorable stay. There was great communication before we arrived. Bubbles waiting in our room for our anniversary! How thoughtful. The hotel itself is lovely with a beautiful roof top patio. Our room was the perfect mix a chic, luxury boutique feel and cozy comfort. Can't wait to go back!

The Cat Noir hotel was a delightful and unique hotel to stay at. The room was perfectly set up and so clean. Everything was very thoughtful and they were very good with communicating the entire visit. They knew I was going to a concert and it was raining so they sent me a text that they left an umbrella outside my door. This was one of the best stays I’ve ever had. They had parking in the back with a secure gate and have a cute lobby/dining area also. The best part of it was meeting Louie, the hotel boss! I will be back soon! 🖤😸

This is a beautiful little boutique hotel. Vicki the proprietor is very nice and welcoming and sure her guests are well taken care of. The rooms are very nice and full of character. The hotel has some very nice amenities such as a rooftop patio and complimentary espresso machines and drinks in the lounge areas of each floor. Bailey the host dog was also very welcoming and friendly.

We loved our short stay at The Cat Noir Hotel! The room was nicely decorated and had everything we needed. We loved to sit on the roof top lounge to sip on our morning coffee or eat a quick bite. Check in was nice & easy and everyone we ran into was extremely helpful. Quick access to yummy food trucks, bar, liquor store, & cute boutiques. We feel in love with Austin on this trip and the area was quite peaceful and inspired us to walk everywhere. Will definitely stay at The Cat Noir Hotel for our next Austin Trip!
