It's a lovely and peaceful place. Careful not to slip when you're going down the stairways ! The courtyard is big and pleasant to look. You will see ancient tombstones against one of the walls. The psalmody of the Quran amplifies the peaceful atmosphere. You can visit the inside even if you're not a Muslim, but please consider having clothes that suits the modesty required by the place.

(Translated by Google) Isa Bey Mosque was built in 1375 by Aydınoğlu İsa Bey. It is one of the most important works of Seljuk art. It is a magnificent building with its monumental entrance door, peaceful large courtyard, and rich decorations inside the mosque. For the impromptu female guests, there are clothes and headscarves at the entrance and they are always clean. There are books in different languages for those who want to learn the religion of Islam. This enormous mosque with a peaceful courtyard in the historical area, surrounded by greenery, should be visited. Your visit will be even more memorable if you get the chance to chat with the mosque imam, Ibrahim Bey. Many thanks to him for all his efforts.

(Translated by Google) The mosque lives in history. It is one of the mosques I have seen and impressed most. The imam of the mosque is also a very friendly and sociable person, I was going to perform the prayer and escape, I was caught and we made a congregation. The general problem in our country is that there is no community in mosques. If my path falls short, I definitely fall for the prayer and visit. By the way, while imams run away from people in all mosques I have seen, the imam of this mosque tries to take care of every person he sees. If I were the Mufti in the Province, I would definitely give an award. In our time, there are very few people doing their job fondly, and the Imam of this mosque is one of them. I don't know him, but if every imam is like him, our people love mosques. I think it will be much more beautiful when the restoration of the mosque is finished. Those who fall on the road should definitely stop by.

(Translated by Google) The mosque was restored years ago when its ceiling collapsed and was in a state of collapse. The most beautiful work of the principalities period you should see in Selçuk. At the entrance, there is a booklet introducing the religion of Islam in various languages for non-Muslim visitors. Imam's English is very good. Unfortunately, it has very little congregation as it is far from settlements. (Original) Cami yıllar önce tavanı çökmüş yıkılacak bir hâlde iken restore edildi. Selcuk style architecture that amaze you when visit this historic mosque. Still functioning and some area in restoration progress. The Mosque have special features and identity that made its architecture different than most of the Mosque in Turkey. Located next to oldest and largest bacillica made this unique building easy to be notice and can be visited for many tourists. North entrance on refurbishment on my visit and you may still enter from south entrance. Ample space for tourists coach parking or cars. You may need to wear suitable shoes to climb up to the entrance. For Muslims.... Ablation area in the garden has no warm or hot water so during winter just get ready with towel or tissue. Women may need to take your ablation earlier before enter and praying here as there's no separate ablation for you. It's a nice and beautiful mosque to enjoy both history and architecture

It was built by the architect, 'Ali b. Mushaimish Dımışklıoğlu, in honor of the Aydinid İsa Bey.[2] The plans for the mosque are based on the Great Mosque of Damascus.[3] By 1829, the mosque was in ruins and by 1842 the minaret had fallen down.[4] In the 19th century, it was also used as a caravanserai. There is an octagonal Seljuk türbe made of stone and bricks, with a pyramid shaped roof, right next to the mosque.

Isa Bey Mosque is one of the most delicate examples of Seljukian architecture, situated below the basilica of St. John. The mosque was built by the master Syrian architecture Ali son of Mushimish al -Damishki, between the years of 1374 and 1375. The mosque was styled asymmetrically unlike the traditional style, The location of the windows, doors and domes were not matched, purposely. In the entrance of the mosque, an inscription from the god decorates the doorway. The columns inside the house of prayer are from earlier ruins in Ephesus, making an interesting contrast to the mosque. The domes are ornamented by turquoise and blue faience, revealing the characteristic of Ottoman style. Crown-like doors from Seljukian architectural style later combine with the specific decoration elements of architectural style. The mosque was repaired in 1934. The mystical atmosphere of "Isa Bey Mosque" must be experienced in the excursion around this region.

(Translated by Google) A very old, but nevertheless perfectly preserved mosque to this day. At 645 years old, the mosque does not make a deplorable impression, rather the opposite. A beautifully decorated courtyard, flowers, columns around the perimeter of the lawn, but inside everything is ascetic and without frills. In front of the entrance to the mosque there is a bust of Isa-bey, the ruler of the beylik, in whose honor the mosque bears his name.
