Not a huge amount of things to see and do but it's very enjoyable all the same. It's separate from the main Ephesus site and is free to enter. It's not hugely popular but there are still food and drink outlets right by the pathway, souvenirs too. I think it's worth the effort myself although some may disagree. The walk there along rural tracks was delightful in itself. Some areas are cordoned off but you can still see it and scramble around.

A remarkable site, however it is closed off for the public by a gate. Nevertheless worth a visit, as you can view the site from above, however you will have to do a bit of climbing on the accessible parts of the site. Also there is no entrance fee and there are authentic restaurants nearby, so definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Was a bit of a disappointment, not much to see but if you are nearby then something you should visit. No need to come again and if you miss it you won't miss much. Nice views of Selçuk castle.

You have to walk up a dusty road and explore an area close to the caves. You can get close but the area is still under excavation and restoration. Devolve in the myth or fact based on what you believe in. Nonetheless, the place is very interesting to explore. You don't need more than 15mins to explore this area. Just like Temple of Artemis, this area is also not properly managed by Turkish tourism industry. There is no guidance or tours here.

Not an impressive site because a big part of it is closed, but it's still interesting to see it, and there is a beautiful view from there. Since it's a 30-40 minutes walk from Selçuk and a 20 minutes walk from the ancient Ephesus site (whether it be the front or the rear entrance), you may integrate it in a hiking tour. But don't pay a taxi or a horse ride just for it, unless it has a spiritual value for you.

Story is interesting. Can be read on the board there. Get to stop here along the horse carriage ride from parking to the other end of Ephesus ruins open museum.

We went kind of late in the day, around sunset time, there's no tickets or gates, a short but somewhat uphill hike leads you to it. There are bars in front however, this pic is taken through the bars. Nice view from up there as well

A must see and a very interesting story behind the 8 sleepers

Free to enter historical small site. It is a legebdary site about a myth. Authentic restaurants with amazing gardens there too. Nothing to complain about as its free! Enjoy everyone!

Very cool but entering is forbidden to prevent damage to the place. You can look from outside and if you are adventurous, you can climb around to get different views from the sides and above but be careful. The seven sleepers may wake up and eat you. this is a duplicate entry of a nearby grotto area.

Definitely worth the little walk from Ephesus. There is no ticket or entrance fee. Entrance is a bit hidden but follow the brown touristic signs. You cannot enter the cave or premises but worthy of seeing the atmosphere and reading the story Shame the locals and government do not look after the historic and religious site

Just some old stone graves with a curious story. Loved to see how people who have cafes and restaurants live there so much poverty... I even got emotional about that...

Interesting place. Village restaurant next to it is amazing and not expensive at all

I've heard rumors that there's nothing to see, but I didn't expect there to be so much to see. It was so much worse than I thought. If you just did some preliminary research on the internet, that's all. Don't expect any more. Time is wasted. There is no management whatsoever.

There is not so much to see in this place. However, it was interesting to learn the history behind this place and its name. You may consider visiting this place as part of your larger visiting plan in this area, if you have enough time.

Well, there's not much to see here. But it's free. A short 100m walk, and you're there. It's all locked up, so no going inside, but you can see a lot from the hill. It is not very impressive since it is falling apart slowly. They are religious parables related to the site, so it is famous. It's hard to miss as it is right outside the more famous (and expensive) Ephesus and well signed. No parking, but there are spots as you drive in for restaurants and tour buses. Expect 20 minute and you're done.

İn very poor condition. Environment is not clean. No access to the tomb's. For a such great place was done nothing. The tree ..."wishes tree" is covered with a plastic notes ?!! ..or hand cleaning wipes.. :(

  • 3/5 Aows M. 1 year ago on Google
Well, the whole place is closed but you can have a peek. Don’t think too much. But since it is near Ephesus, so why not stopping by.

  • 3/5 akif s. 1 year ago on Google
Although this is a massively significant historical and religious site it has not been maintained well or rather has not been maintained at all. Realizing path to the cave is unpaved and Dusty that's requiring a fair bit of effort. Even if a small charge is imposed it can be better maintained

Worth a short visit since it is in between Virgin Mary's House and Ephesus, but there's not much to see. Some ruin tombs with a nice accompanying legend but you cannot enter the main chamber.
