Before its completion, the first and second Parliaments used the Old Sangsad Bhaban, which currently serves as the Prime Minister's Office. Construction was started in 1961 when Bangladesh was East Pakistan, led by Ayub Khan from the West Pakistan capital of Islamabad. As part of his efforts to decrease the disparity and secessionist tendencies of East Pakistan, Khan aimed to make Dhaka a second capital, with appropriate facilities for an assembly. Jatiya Sangsad was designed by Louis Kahn. The government sought assistance from South Asian activist and architect Muzharul Islam who recommended bringing in the world's top architects for the project. He initially attempted to bring Alvar Aalto and Le Corbusier, who were both were unavailable at the time. Islam then enlisted his former teacher at Yale, Louis Kahn.[4] Construction was halted during the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War and was completed on 28 January 1982. Kahn died when the project was approximately three-quarters completed and it continued under David Wisdom, who worked for Kahn.

Louis Kahn’s design philosophy was guided by principles of ‘spirit’ and ‘silence.’ The National Parliament House’s various components are organized around a strong central axis, focusing on representing Bengali culture and heritage while optimizing the use of space. The unconventional combination of concrete and marble materials adds to the structure’s distinctiveness. This monumental architectural masterpiece has evolved into a symbol of freedom and resilience.

Bangladesh national parliament is located in the capital city Dhaka Sher a Bangla Nagar at Manik Mia Avenue. There are many beautifully arranged flower trees inside the pond. The entire Parliament area is mesmerizing. This is the most beautiful place I have seen in Dhaka, but it is not open to all, but entry is prohibited without permission. This building is an extraordinary example of modern architecture being transcribed as a part of Bangali vernacular architecture.

its very beautiful place. It is restricted for people. If you like visit you should need a pass from authority. People only can visit road side area of parliament. But some years ago people can visit to the outer side of parliament. People can walk through the beautiful green surrounded field. It's really bad that this place is restricted for people, i think it should be opened in some without assembly zone or very secret place that really need to be secured. The famous architect Louis Khan designed the building. Wheel accessibility and parking is available.

The National Assembly building complex in Dhaka designed by the American architect Louis Kahn (Kimbell Art Museum, Texas; Art galleries in Yale) from 1963 till his death in 1974 and finally inaugurated in 1983, is widely considered one of the masterpieces of architecture of the 20th century. While from the outside it is very impressive, the real drama unfolds in the interiors, where a 100 feet high space bathed in light from various angles, and animated by ramps, bridges and other elements, wrap around the central chamber which itself is awe-inspiring. There is a visitors section at the Assembly building which conducts guided visits (passports required, no phones, no photos) usually from 10am except weekends, without any prior permission. They can also take visitors to see some of the adjoining buildings. Call in advance to avoid disappointment, for a visit to remember. Very highly recommended

Lovely architecture with a neat and clean environment. The structure was designed by a famous architect, "Lui I Kan." The entire area is about 1 square kilometer. The whole area is decorated with different beautiful trees and structures. Generally, people gather in front of the parliament in the evening. There are many 'Bakul' flower trees, so there remains a sweet aroma fragrance. People can sit under those trees and have a fantastic view of the area.

Louis Kahn designed the entire Jatiya Sangsad complex, which includes lawns, lake and residences for the Members of the Parliament (MPs). The architect's key design philosophy was to represent Bengali culture and heritage, while at the same time optimizing the use of space. The exterior of the building is striking in its simplicity, with huge walls deeply recessed by porticoes and large openings of regular geometric shapes. The main building, which is at the center of the complex, is divided into three parts – the Main Plaza, South Plaza and Presidential Plaza. An artificial lake surrounds three sides of the main building of Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, extending to the Members of Parliament hostel complex. This skillful use of water to portray the riverine beauty of Bengal adds to the aesthetic value of the site.

The beauty of the place is something that you can't express in words. The National Parliament House is an architectural beauty. Though I hadn't had any previlage to go inside and roam around but the outer look was so cool and seemed to be unearthy as I was there at night. You can check out the photos.

The Bangladesh National Parliament, located in the capital city of Dhaka, is the house of the Parliament of Bangladesh. It is an iconic structure and an architectural masterpiece designed by renowned American architect Louis Kahn. The building is a symbol of the country's democracy and has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city. The building itself is a unique and striking design that features geometric shapes, natural light, and water features. The structure is made up of three main buildings, each with its own purpose. The main building houses the parliament chambers, while the south and north buildings house administrative offices and committee rooms. Visitors are allowed to tour the building, but only certain areas are accessible to the public. The tour includes a visit to the main building, where visitors can see the grandeur of the parliament chambers and the unique design of the building. The tour also includes a visit to the surrounding area, which features a beautiful lake and park. The facilities at the parliament building are top-notch, with clean restrooms and well-maintained areas. The staff are friendly and helpful, and there are plenty of informational materials available for visitors. The location of the parliament building is also very convenient, as it is located in the heart of the city and is easily accessible by public transport or by private vehicle. The surrounding area is also lively, with many shops and restaurants nearby, making it a great place to visit before or after a tour. Overall, the Bangladesh National Parliament is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in history, architecture, or politics. The building is an impressive structure that is sure to leave visitors in awe, and the facilities and location make it a great place to visit. If you are in Dhaka, be sure to add the Bangladesh National Parliament to your list of places to visit

Of the eleven parliamentary elections held so far in Bangladesh, the first and second parliamentary sessions were held in the old parliament building, which is now used as the office of the Prime Minister. Construction of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban for the Legislative Assembly for the then Government of Pakistan East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) and West Pakistan (now Pakistan) began in 1971. After the completion of the construction work on 26th January, 1972, the first Parliament House was used in the 8th (and last) session of the 2nd Parliament of Bangladesh on 15th February of the same year. Since then, the building has been used as a major hub for law-making and government operations. Louis designed the rest of the ear complex. The Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban is a part of the Jatiya Sangsad Complex. The complex also has beautiful gardens, an artificial lake and the residence of members of parliament. The Jatiya Sangsad complex in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka is surrounded by four main roads: Lake Road to the north Rokeya Street to the east Manik Mia Avenue on the south side Mirpur road to the west As a result, it is possible to control the movement of vehicles and smooth movement during the parliamentary session. The main building (Parliament building) is basically divided into three parts: Main Plaza: 623,000 sqft (6,000 sq m) South Plaza: 223,000 sqft (21,000 sq m) Presidential Plaza: 75,000 sqft (6,000 sq m) The main building is located in the center of the complex. The MP hostel and emergency buildings are located outside the complex. The artificial lake, which surrounds the main building, fills the gap between the two gardens.

The Iconic Building of Dhaka City. A beautiful architectural design, its not a building only. the original plan consists of accommodation of MPs and Ministers, secretariat and other essential complexes. However the original plan was never implemented. It's one of the Architectural Marvel of the 20th century. The whole building is standing over a single column like water lily.

You'd think that since the national parliament is the most amazing and beautiful scenic spot but truth be told, it wasn't as pleasant as I thought it would be. The place outside was filled with trash which kind off spoils the scenario. Maybe adding few garbage bins around could help the public from littering. All in all its a nice place to hang around with your loved ones.

Hence it's not a tourist place, there is no entry fee, on the other hand, the entry is restricted. but people can join programs outside of this building occasionally depending on the type. Jatiya Sangsad or National Assembly is the national parliament of Bangladesh. The current parliament of Bangladesh has 350 seats. This includes 50 seats held for women. People who are in the Jatiya Sangsad are called Members of Parliament or MPs. The last 11th National Parliamentary Election was held in Bangladesh on 30 December 2018. The next Bangladeshi general election is scheduled to be held by December 2023 or early 2024. Normally elections are every five years. The leader of the party that has most of the seats is the Prime Minister of Bangladesh. The President of Bangladesh, who is the ceremonial head of state, is picked by Parliament. The parliament itself meets in the Jatiyo Sangshad Bhaban. The current majority party is the Bangladesh Awami League. Members of Parliament can be citizens of only Bangladesh and above the age of 25.

The Jatiya Sangsad (Bengali: জাতীয় সংসদ Jatiyô Sôngsôd; lit. 'National Parliament'), often referred to simply as the Sangsad or JS and also known as the House of the Nation, is the supreme legislative body of Bangladesh. The current parliament of Bangladesh contains 350seats, including 50 seats reserved exclusively for women. Elected occupants are called Member of Parliament, or MP. The 11th National Parliamentary Election was held on 30 December 2018. Elections to the body are held every five years, unless a parliament is dissolved earlier by the President of Bangladesh.Websitewww.parliament.gov.bd The leader of the party (or alliance of parties) holding the majority of seats becomes the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, and so the head of the government. The President of Bangladesh, the ceremonial head of state, is chosen by Parliament. Since the December 2008 national election, the current majority party is the Awami League led by Sheikh Hasina. EtymologyEdit The Constitution of Bangladesh designates the official name of the legislature Jatiya Sangsad (জাতীয় সংসদ) in Bengali and House of the Nation in English. The term Sangsad , a Bengali word for "The Parliament", is derives from the Sanskrit word Sansad (lit. the gathering or assembly). The Bengali word Jatiya means National, hence, the name Jatiya Sangsad translates to National Parliament. The legislature is commonly known as Parliament and often referred to simply as the Sangsad or JS. The term "Member of Parliament" (Bengali: সংসদ সদস্য; Sansad sadasya) refers to both the 300 elected members and the 50 nominated women members of the Sangsad. The title is almost always shortened to the initialism "MP" and often referred to simply as the Sānsad (Bengali: সাংসদ; lit. the Parliamentarian) in Bengali. Members of Parliament are entitled to use the prefix "The Honourable" (Bengali: মাননীয়; Mānanīẏa) . History: The Constituent Assembly of Bangladesh was established on 10 April 1972 after the Bangladesh Liberation War to prepare a democratic constitution and served as its first parliament as an independent nation. The assembly approved the constitution on 4 November 1972, and it took effect on 16 Decemberand the Constituent Assembly became the Provisional Parliament of Bangladesh until the first elections under the new constitution took place in 1973. Until 10 July 1981 the Constituent Assembly, and the first and second parliaments held their sittings in the building that now houses the Prime Minister's Office and which is often referred as the old Sangsad Bhaban (old Parliament House). The opening ceremony of the present Parliament House was performed on 15 February 1982. The last session of the second parliament was held in the new house on 15 February 1982. Constituencies Parliamentary constituencies in Bangladesh The maximum strength of the Parliament envisaged by the Constitution of Bangladesh is 350, which is made up by the general election of 300 members to represent 300 parliamentary constituencies and 50 seats reserved for women, which are apportioned on elected party position in the parliament. The electoral districts are referred to as "Nirbācanī ēlākā" (Bengali: নির্বাচনী এলাকা) in Bengali, which can be literally translated to English as "electoral area" though the official English translation for the term is "constituency". The term "Nirbācanī ēlākā" is used while referring to an electoral district in general. The constituencies are arranged as to coincide with the administrative Districts of Bangladesh, distributed among the proportion to their population. Numbers may vary from two to twenty members per district. The seats are indicated with the district name suffixed by a number (e.g. Panchagarh-1 or Jessore-6). Each constituency is represented by a single member of Parliament, and is elected by the first-past-the-post system. Any one can go from sydabad to songsod vobon by shikor, khaja baba bus.

This is an outstanding masterpiece of world renowned Architect Louis Isadore Kahn. Although the security, the pass system are a bit tedious its another world of sights waiting on the otherside. The previously accessible public plaza is not allowed for general entry, which without any doubt is a shame. The structural details, volumes, the form, the play of sunlight and shade is an epic. The ecosystem of the birds within the compound is surprising and soothing to all the hearts. The scale of this monumental architecture will surely impact one's mind once they start to roam around the complex

National Sangsad Bhaban The main building of the National Parliament of Bangladesh. It is located in the Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area of Dhaka. Renowned American architect Louis Kahn is its original architect. History:Of the eight parliamentary elections held so far in Bangladesh, the first and second parliamentary sessions were held in the old parliament building, which is now used as the office of the Prime Minister. The then government of Pakistan started construction of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban for the legislature for East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) and West Pakistan (now Pakistan) in 1971. After the completion of the construction work on 26 January 1972, the first Parliament House was used in the 8th (and last) session of the Second Parliament of Bangladesh on 15 February of the same year. Since then, the building has been used as a major hub for law-making and government activities. Parliamentary history:- List of all parliaments constituted in Bangladesh: 1) First Parliament: 2 years 6 months (April 7, 1973 - November 7, 1975) under the leadership of Awami League 2) Second Parliament: 2 years and 11 months (April 2, 1979 - March 24, 1972) led by Bangladesh Nationalist Party 3) Third Parliament: 1 year 5 months (July 10, 196 - December 7, 198) led by Jatiya Party 4) Fourth Parliament: 2 years and 6 months (April 15, 198 - December 7, 1990) led by Jatiya Party 5) Fifth Parliament: 4 years and 6 months (April 5, 1991 - November 24, 1995) led by Bangladesh Nationalist Party 6) Sixth Parliament: 12 days (March 19, 1996 - March 30, 1996) led by Bangladesh Nationalist Party 7) Seventh Parliament: 5 years (July 14, 1996 - July 13, 2001) led by Awami League 8) Eighth Parliament: (October 26, 2001 - October 26, 2006) Bangladesh Nationalist Party led four party alliance 9) Ninth Parliament: (January 17, 2009 -) Awami League led alliance. The first parliament never used the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban. The Prime Minister was the leader of each parliament.Architectural style and design;Louis designed the rest of the ear complex. The Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban is a part of the Jatiya Sangsad Complex. The complex also has lovely gardens, an artificial lake and the residence of MPs.Location:There are four main roads surrounding the Jatiya Sangsad Complex in Dhaka's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar:Lake Road to the north;Rokeya Street to the east;Manik Mia Avenue to the south and,Mirpur Road to the west.As a result, it is possible to control the movement of vehicles easily during the parliamentary session. The main building (Parliament building) is basically divided into three parts: Main Plaza: 623,000 sq ft (6,000 sq m).South Plaza: 223,000 sqft (21,000 sq m).Presidential Plaza: 75,000 sq ft (6,000 sq m).The main building is located in the center of the complex.MP hostels and emergency buildings are located outside the complex. The artificial lake, which surrounds the main building, fills the gap between the two gardens.Architectural philosophy:At the heart of this architectural philosophy was the maximum use of space and the enhancement of Bangladesh's heritage and culture through its architectural style. The struggle for human survival against various adversities of nature has been highlighted by the architectural style. The design of the main building:The main building is made up of nine separate blocks: the height of the middle octagonal block is 155 feet and the height of the remaining eight blocks is 110 feet. The space of each block has been divided on the basis of different functions, interconnected between the blocks horizontally and vertically through corridors, elevators, stairs and circular paths. The design of the whole building has been formulated in such a way that the combination of all the blocks can be used as a single space of one block. The main committee rooms are in an adjoining block on the second floor. The building houses the offices of all kinds of parliamentary activities, ministers, chairpersons and standing committees. There are also some office allocations for the Parliamentary Secretary in the same building.

Beautiful! The Constituent Assembly of Bangladesh and the first Parliament held their sittings in the building that now houses the Prime Minister's Office and which is often referred as the old Shangshad Bhaban (old Parliament House).  The second Parliament also held most of its sittings in that building, the last sitting being on 10 July 1981. It was during the tenure of the second Parliament that the present Parliament building, or Shangshad Bhaban, located at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, became functional. Its eighth, and incidentally the last session, commenced on 15 February 1982 in the new building.  The legislative enclave at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar is among the largest legislative complexes in the world and is bound by Rokeya Sarani to the east, Mirpur Road to the west, Lake Road to the north and Manik Mian Avenue to the south. Its total area is approximately 200 acres. Situated in the enclave are the impressive structure of the Parliament Building, a Members hostel, residences for parliamentary functionaries, two large lush green lawns and a lake. Residences of Speaker and Deputy Speaker, which were included in the master plan for this enclave are yet to be constructed.  The design of the Parliament Building, made by the famous architect Professor Louis I. Kahn, was evolved from the basic human requirement of protection from the glare and fury of nature. This has been achieved through the overall arrangement of the complex in different groups of buildings in which normal external lines are deeply recessed by porticoes with huge geometric openings on its outer facade, forming the visual characteristics of the building. Thus conventional methods of protecting external windows have been effectively substituted, resulting in the compositional effect of these huge openings, befitting the scale of the building. The use of exposed concrete walls to contrast the surrounding buildings with exposed brick exteriors, merges with the land and its culture. The lake on three sides of the main building, extending up to the Members hostel not only creates visual relief for the beholder but also echoes the riverine beauty of Bangladesh. The entire complex has a floor area of 8,23,000 sq. ft. in the main building, 2,23,000 sq. ft. in the South Plaza and 65,000 sq. ft. in the Presidential Plaza. The Parliament Building consists of three major components: the South Plaza, the Presidential Plaza and the main Building. The South Plaza, gradually rising to 20' height, serves as the visual base as well as the formal entrance to the Parliament Building. It contains:     controlling gates;     a driveway;     a main mechanical plant room;     a large car parking space;     a telephone exchange;     offices of maintenance engineers;     equipment stores; and     an open plaza with steps and ramps leading directly to the main building. The Presidential Plaza to the north, serves as an intimate plaza for MPs and other dignitaries. It contains marble steps, a gallery and an open pavement. Its ground floor is partly open and partly occupied by stores. The Parliament Building itself consists of nine individual blocks of which, eight peripheral blocks rise to a height of 110' while the octagonal block rises to a height of 155'. All of these nine blocks surrounding the ambulatory contain different groups of functional spaces and have an interplay of different levels, inter-linked horizontally and vertically with corridors, lifts, stairs, light courts and circular areas. All have blended into a harmonious whole. The total seating capacity in the Parliament Chamber is 354 plus the podium and two V.I.P. galleries. The Chamber has a maximum height of 117' with a parabolic shell roof at its top. There is here a splendid feature: a clear story above the parabolic shell that lets in daylight, which reflects from the surrounding walls and octagonal drum filters into the Parliament Chamber, demonstrating the ability of Louis Khan to combine architecture with light. The artificial lighting system of the Parliament Chamber has been devised in such a manner that

National Parliament of Bangladesh. The institution for our democracy. World renowned architect Louis Kahn constructed this architectural masterpiece. In the original Louis Kahn's design he planned to make it open for the general people. It was part of the urban planning of Dhaka where people will be able to seat and enjoy the architectural and scenic beauty of this place. The premises of the Parliament was open for everybody for decades, untill recently the government restricted the movement of people in this place. It was meant to be a place for the people. Now for the sake of security the government restricted the access for general people. Louis Kahn designed this place such a smart way that it would be a secure place for the countries VVIP and VIP's where general people will coexist with them. Hopefully the government will remove the fence which is destroying the beauty of this place and implement the original design thought of Louis Kahn where VIP and VVIP's will coexist with the general mass. Joy Bangla.

(Translated by Google) One of the interesting places in Bangladesh is the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban. Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban The main building of the National Parliament of Bangladesh. It is located in the Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area of Dhaka. Renowned American architect Louis Kahn is its original architect. History Of the eight parliamentary elections held so far in Bangladesh, the first and second parliamentary sessions were held in the old parliament building, which is now used as the office of the Prime Minister. Parliamentary history List of all parliaments constituted in Bangladesh: 1) First Parliament: 2 years 6 months (April 7, 1973 - November 7, 1975) under the leadership of Awami League 2) Second Parliament: 2 years and 11 months (April 2, 1979 - March 24, 1972) led by the Bangladesh Nationalist Party 3) Third Parliament: 1 year 5 months (July 10, 196 - December 6, 197) led by Jatiya Party 4) Fourth Parliament: 2 years and 6 months (April 15, 196 - December 7, 1990) led by Jatiya Party 5) Fifth Parliament: 4 years and 6 months (April 5, 1991 - November 24, 1995) led by Bangladesh Nationalist Party 6) Sixth Parliament: 12 days (March 19, 1996 - March 30, 1996) led by Bangladesh Nationalist Party 7) Seventh Parliament: 5 years (July 14, 1996 - July 13, 2001) led by Awami League 8) Eighth Parliament: (October 26, 2001 - October 26, 2007) Bangladesh Nationalist Party led four party alliance 9) Ninth Parliament: (January 17, 2009 -) Awami League led alliance The first parliament never used the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban. The Prime Minister was the leader of each parliament. Architectural style and design Louis designed the rest of the ear complex. The Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban is a part of the Jatiya Sangsad Complex. The complex also has lovely gardens, an artificial lake and the residence of MPs. Location There are four main roads surrounding the Jatiya Sangsad Complex in Dhaka's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar: Lake Road to the north; Rokeya Street to the east; Manik Mia Avenue and on the south side Mirpur Road to the west. As a result, it is possible to control the movement of vehicles easily during the parliamentary session. The main building (Parliament building) is basically divided into three parts: Main Plaza: 623,000 sq ft (6,000 sq m) South Plaza: 223,000 sqft (21,000 sq m) Presidential Plaza: 65,000 sq ft (6,000 sq m) The main building is located in the center of the complex. MP hostels and emergency buildings are located outside the complex. The artificial lake, which surrounds the main building, fills the gap between the two gardens. Architectural philosophy At the heart of this architectural philosophy was the maximum use of space and the enhancement of Bangladesh's heritage and culture through its architectural style. Man's struggle for survival against various adversities of nature has been highlighted by the architectural style. The design of the main building The main building is made up of nine separate blocks: the height of the middle octagonal block is 155 feet and the height of the remaining eight blocks is 110 feet. The space of each block is divided on the basis of different functions, interconnected between the blocks horizontally and vertically through corridors, elevators, stairs and circular paths. Main Plaza The main part of the Main Plaza is the Parliament Session Room. It has 354 members at the same time. There are two podiums and two galleries for VIPs. The elevated rooftop sitting room is 116 feet high. The roof is made transparent so that daylight can enter it. Sunlight enters the sitting room as it is reflected in the surrounding walls and octagonal drums. (The aesthetics and maximum use of light are a testament to Louis Kahn's architectural prowess.) A striking Modernist parliament building and a remarkable statement of power and authority in a newborn nation. In 1962, with the decision to make East Pakistan’s Dhaka the country’s second capital, alongside Islamabad in West Pakistan, came the need for a space to house the National Assembly Building, or Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban. The government turned to Muzharul Islam (1923–2012), a leading Bengali architect, planner, and champion of Modernism. Islam opted to work with his former tutor at Yale University, Louis Kahn. Kahn drew on the monumental architecture of the region, abstracting it through the prism of Modernism to create a building of bold geometric regularity. At the center of the complex is the assembly chamber, a domed amphitheater, and the library. The complex also includes a lake, gardens, and residences for members of parliament. The vast exterior walls of the main building (Bhaban) are deeply recessed, with porticos made from rough concrete inlaid with bands of white marble. Construction began in 1961 but was halted during East Pakistan’s War of Independence in 1971 and not completed until 1982, by which time Dhaka was the capital of newly independent Bangladesh.

Islam then enlisted his former teacher at Yale, Louis Kahn. Construction was halted during the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War and was completed on 28 January 1982. Kahn died when the project was approximately three-quarters completed and it continued under David Wisdom, who worked for Kahn.

National Parliament of Bangladesh.

One of the most important and secured place in Bangladesh. Inside the parliament building, they don't allow camera, mobile and metal object or other electronic device. To visit this place, first you have to apply via email. Later they will call you.

National Parliament House is the house of the Parliament of Bangladesh, located at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the Bangladeshi capital of Dhaka. Parliaments used the Old Sangsad Bhaban, which currently serves as the Prime Minister's Office. Islam then enlisted his former teacher at Yale, Louis Kahn. Construction was halted during the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War and was completed on 28 January 1982. Kahn died when the project was approximately three-quarters completed and it continued under David Wisdom, who worked for Kahn.

The Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, also known as the National Parliament House, is indeed the house of the Parliament of Bangladesh and is located in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka. Designed by renowned architect Louis Kahn, the complex is considered one of the largest legislative complexes in the world, covering an area of 200 acres. Due to its significance as the seat of government power, the Jatiya Sangshad complex is located in a high-security zone in Dhaka. As a result, entrance to the Bhaban, the main building of the complex, is restricted to authorized members of Parliament and staff only. However, despite restricted access to the main building, the Jatiyo Sangshad complex is a popular attraction for tourists, particularly during national holidays. Visitors are able to appreciate the architectural beauty of the complex from the outside and explore the surrounding areas. In addition to being a tourist attraction, the Jatiya Sangsad complex is also a favored destination for locals who enjoy jogging and skating. The complex provides a spacious and scenic environment, making it a popular walking route for both morning and evening exercise routines. To access the Jatiya Sangsad complex, there are four roads surrounding it. However, the Manik Mia Avenue and Lake Road are considered the easiest approaches for visitors. These roads provide convenient access to the complex, allowing tourists and locals to enjoy the surroundings and the architectural grandeur of the National Parliament House.

Completed in 1982, this iconic building serves as the National Parliament House of Bangladesh and is a symbol of the nation's identity. One of the most remarkable aspects of this building is its functionality. It houses the country's parliamentary assembly, providing enough space for lawmakers to carry out their duties. Its unique design, historical significance, and functional purpose make it a must-visit for anyone interested in the intersection of architecture and politics.

A fine architecture. Sadly ,we, the commoners , aren't allowed to go inside. But it gives a soothing view from the front . Although the place is quite full of people visiting it, there's trash right next to the pavement . I was surprised when I smelt piss walking by it . People should have some sense and education before going out of their dan .
