For Italian food in Samui that is affordable, I loved this meal and highly recommend it. The restaurant is owned by an Italian man and his brother and they are simply living their best lives there in Thailand, cooking delicious Italian food for their customers in their open air restaurant. The restaurant is on a side street so it isn’t extremely loud but you still feel connected to the Lamai downtown. What did we eat? Great question, I will gladly share: 1. Black rubble ravioli special - sent me to heaven! The flavors were perfect and rich and the noodle was cooked to the perfect degree. The sauce was so good, we really couldn’t get enough of it and the consistency was right-on. 2. Porchetta - well done and the sauces were noteworthy, clearly homemade. 3. Tomato sauce pasta - delicious, fresh flavor. 4. Four cheese - loved this as well, rich flavor but not overwhelming in making you too full! 5. Mushroom and Sausage pizza and the prosciutto and truffle pizza. I preferred the latter. They cook the dough for the pizza the true Italian way so your tummy and digestive system will thank you! Highly recommend this restaurant, I would 100% go back.

Excellent Italian food. The owners are brothers from Italy and take such pride in every aspect of the food. Amazing pizza and pasta options. Reasonably priced for such high quality gourmet food. We try to go once a week. Enjoy!

We really enjoyed our meal here. Sergio, the owner went through the menu in great detail and helped us with picking our dishes. The slow cooked porchetta and the truffle ravioli were both prefect and the homemade tiramisu and limoncello made us feel like we were back travelling through Italy. Highly recommend!

Definitely one of the highlight of our trip. The restaurant owner is very friendly and spent time going through the menu with us. We ordered the porchetta salad and fusilli carbonara pasta which was their special for the day and were blown away by the quality of the food. This is a gem is Samui. It is not always easy to find genuinely great Italian food. Truffle cream ravioli was lovely. Porchetta was refreshing and delightful. Italian owner was personable and gave attention to all patrons.

Second meal as enjoyable as the first and we'll be back again for the 3rd, 4th and more. The pasta is exceptional, the sauces outstanding, pizza is perfect and the pork exquisite. But be careful, the desserts are so popular, you may have to share!

An unexpected good surprise in Koh Samui, very authentic Italian food, carefully prepared. The owner is from Rome, and takes pride in making the food taste great. Porchetta is the specialty, but everything else was also worth it.

Superb taste in reasonable price, the owner, the chef and staff are very nice and friendly. Black ravioli stuffed with truffle&cheese is excellent. Pizza is also the best of i ever had. Try it! Or regret later if you don't!

Probably one of the best Italian restaurant we have been to. Excellent and real homemade food (porcetta pasta pizza, whatever you choose you will love it but we do recommend their world famous porcetta) by Stefano. A rare authentic Italian food experience in Samui, and perhaps in Thailand. Super friendly staffs who know exactly what to recommend you as well.

My favourite restaurant in Koh Samui, maybe even in whole Thailand. Two reasons: THE STAFF Gergio (I hope I spelled it correctly!) was so welcoming and nice. You won't only get a menu but also explanations of what everything is. I feel like we went on a small food culture tour to Italy! We were curious about the story behind Food Lab and when we asked, we got to hear some really interesting stories! Oh, and they have really great English skills! THE FOOD Especially the pizzas were just epic. Like wow! The chocolate ice cream was delicious, highly recommend it! I don't usually like chocolate ice creams but this was one of the best I've had in my entire life. Had to try it for a second time and yup, still as delicious! Oh, and the wines here are good (compared to the wines which we've tried while being here). We went here for two times because the first time wasn't enough to try everything we wanted. TIP FOR FUTURE CUSTOMERS Ask them if you're wondering about something and you might get some cool stories!

Food Lab transports you to Rome without having to leave Samui. The Italian chef and owners have created the perfect ambience and a fantastic line of high-quality authentic Italian dishes at reasonable prices. We had the Bruschetta Porchetta, Truffle Ravioli, and Gnocci in sausage cream sauce, which we closed off with ice cream and grappa. We savored every bite and had to remind ourselves we were still in Thailand. I would definitely come back and highly recommend Food Lab to others.
