It
was
the
first
sunny
weekend
we've
had
for
nearly
a
month,
so
I
thought
it
would
be
great
to
revisit
the
Vanilla
Cafe
at
the
Kamiseta
Boutique
Hotel.
We
went
on
a
Saturday
afternoon,
and
luckily,
were
able
to
get
a
corner
table
at
their
solarium
area.
It
was
a
bit
warm
(by
Baguio
standards),
as
the
sun
was
out
in
full
force,
and
the
ceiling
tapestries
were
not
much
help
in
filtering
out
the
sunlight.
Nonetheless,
the
ambiance,
and
the
wide
open
windows
which
lets
a
nice
breeze
come
in,
was
worth
the
warmth
of
the
place.
The
same
cannot
be
said
about
the
offerings
though.
The
cakes
were
quite
expensive,
and
didn't
look
appetizing,
so
I
went
for
the
Puff
Royal
Coffee
flavor,
and
had
a
Cafe
Mocha
to
go
with
it.
My
friend
had
a
Cafe
Latte.
The
coffee
was...
ok.
Nothing
extraordinary.
The
puff
pastry
though
was
mostly
whipped
cream
that
didn't
even
taste
like
coffee.
The
mini
cream
puffs
that
were
in
it,
and
the
puff
pastry
base,
were
ok
though.
Overall,
it
wasn't
worth
the
P199
that
I
paid
for
it.
Come
for
the
ambiance,
but
temper
your
expectations
on
their
sweet
treats.
