I made it! A hidden gem of Phuket. Stunning view of the sunset, but you can’t quite stay until the sun goes down as it make hiking back a lot more difficult. Need to starts at the Baan Krating Resort around 16:00-16:30 to catch the sunset. I paid 300 baht for car parking as credit for resort’s cafe food and drinks. The hike itself is about moderate, need hands on some parts and adrenaline rush when you look down and see the rocks below. It took me around 45mins but might be less if you’re more experience in hiking. The route was a bit hidden & rudimental which confused me on a couple spots. I waited for others to come pass and follow them. Don’t forget to bring water. Sandals are bad choices. Edit: typos.

DO NOT wear flipflop or sandals! Sneaker or trekking shoes only ห้ามใส่รองเท้าเตะไปเด็ดขาดสำหรับใครที่ตั้งใจจะไปให้ถึงสุด! View and scenery 10 outta 10 I start treakking around 5pm reached the spot around 5:40 somehow during this season you better calculate right timing for walk back otherwise would be dark you barely see walk path! I go back around 6:20 starting dark in a little couldn’t see walk path very clear I fell down off cliff but thank god I grabbed dry grasses around 🥲 so yeah will be back once again! Better start on 4pm ka 😁

Love this place😍. Awesome view Just i few minutes trail walking along from the beach area and walking along the rock. As you keep walking there are more great views ahead, Nice and clear fresh air with a little windy. Good for hiking in the morning. Not many people around so you can peacefully enjoy the view. Love it so much. Will definitely come back again

It's magical place and absolutely worth the hike. You can see a perfect sunset from this place and from panorama view you would see Promthep Cape and Nai Harn beach are right in front of you. I can't wait to go back again!

Loved this place. I’m Norwegian so we love working alittle before enjoying the treasure at the end 😅 in cape Krathing you have two choices though. You can and in my opinion, should walk along the beach and walk up the path leading up to the top. It’s a fantastic scenic hike and pretty easy to walk. I just used slippers, but recommend shoes. It gets alittle steep in the end, but they put up a rope to make the climb easier. Can also be used to descend safer. Make sure you start atleast an hour before sunset. And don’t stay too long if you want to return same way down, because it gets quite dark.

Krating Cape is the latest viewpoint. It's a difficult place to go. This is a spot that you shouldn't miss. Because it is another place to watch the beautiful sunset in Phuket.

Got dragged by my wife here, but it was surprisingly one the best hikes I’ve ever had. Relatively challenging but doable for most people regardless of hiking experience, and the views keep getting better as you hike. It will be worth it once you reach the main viewing point at the end

We did the black rock laem krating combo loop total of 5km and it was amazing. Amazing view and we were so lucky to have awesome weather with a lot of wind and overcast. One of the coolest and prettiest hikes I’ve done in Thailand! Really recommended. We parked near the naiharn park and started from there. Trail info on Alltrails.

Please be prepared. Better you go here in the morning or sunset time to avoid sun burn. You must beware with your step to go there. You will crossing sea stone after that a little trekking required. You tiredness will be paid after you reach the cape. You'll get beautiful scenery, beautiful sunset, don't forget your tripod to capture sunset time lapse

A stunning place to just sit and enjoy the view. Be careful though, you need decent shoes, flip flops, or cheap joggers are no good, you need proper footwear to be safe on the steep hillside walking trails.

I've been the first time here for shooting, it's very beautiful and natural cape with sea view but if you would like to discover this spot please keep water with you because you should climb for about 20 minutes.

Beautiful area and recommend to go to see sunset . Park in front of krating resort and pass some rock during low tide. Recommend sport shoe and trek some part is slippery

Love hiking out to the point. But since the fire burnt all the grass 2 weeks ago, you can now see how treacherous the trail really is. Careful out there!

Lovely place to meet the sunset. Beautiful sea view in almost 270° direction. Not crowded at all, just local fishermen. Place looks good to jump from a cliff into the water and take a snorkeling, but coral shoes is a must have to get out of the water unharmed because of many sharp shells on the stones.

Beautiful hike. Never too many people. Plan for 2 - 3 hours. Although some selfie takers arrive by truck/taxi

Park your vehicle outside Baan krathing phuket resort. Tell the guard ( if he asks), you want to go to the beach, walk straight 50ms and you will see parking, take left from there on very thin kacha road, then you will see Ao sane beach and then further Cape krathing view point ( follow Google maps walking) Wear hike shoes as it's fully rocky walk. Shall talk around 30-40 Mins. It was beautiful but I personally like the windmill Viewpoint more , (which is also nearby when you have your own vehicle) than krathing for sunset.
