👍👍 Wow! What an experience. My wife and I visited this restaurant with two friends, and we ended up having the entire establishment to ourselves. The service was impeccable throughout multiple courses, the food was delicious in all facets, and the view across the river had to be one of the best in all... We booked a tour here. A beautiful water front palace with lots of history. We were given a tour of the house on the ground floor, but learned a lot about the history The Chakrabongse royal family. Narisa Chakrabongse, the only daughter of Prince Chakrabongse gave us a personal tour of her library and told us the story of her family and heritage. The meal provided with the tour at the water front restaurant was excellent as well.

Great food and superb views. Really authentic royal Thai cuisine I guess, because I'm not Thai royal family, but the owner of this place is, and their family still lives here. The restaurant is a part of their house. So this restaurant is very small and private; advanced booking is advised.

Spectacular boutique hotel and restaurant with long history and riverview. The restaurant have to make a reservation first atleast a month, still really worth to taste authentic Thai food and experience the night of Bangkok by the riverside.

What a setting for our family Christmas dinner. Beautiful view and the perfect place to host our family of 12 adults and 4 children. We arrived a little early and were able to catch the sun setting before dinner started. The food was impeccable and staff were great. We had asked for some modifications to a couple of the dishes and they were able to accommodate on short notice. It was a set menu and there was plenty of food with leftovers to take home. Great for forum settings and special occasions. It can accommodate smaller groups as well. There was a small table for 4 on the same night as well having dinner.

Stunning view across to the Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun) and what an apt sight at breakfast. This is a former royal palace and still owned by a royal. The restaurant is renowned for its quality food and staff genuinely helpful. We wanted a prosecco and the sommelier chose the cheapest bottle...which was closest to more expensive Champagne. Impressed.

I had a sumptuous dinner at Chakrabongse, my last evening in SE Asia, watching the sunset and the lights come up on Wat Arun. It was a fixed menu, with 10 dishes (the appetizers were small). Each bite was delectable! The deep-fried sea bass was out of this world, so light and flavorful! The massaman beef curry was so rich. The chef shops in the early afternoon, so you need to reserve before then—and it’s all so fresh! It was a magical evening. I highly recommend Chakrabongse!

Aside from the restaurant halfway up Paris' Eiffel Tower, I reckon this restaurant is in the world's best location Directly opposite the Temple of Dawn/Wat Arun. Right on the river. Stunning, stunning location. The food is equally so. A lovely selection of traditional Thai items, daily changing (and with some flexibility), you will not go home hungry. And the service is efficient, friendly, deferential. Maitr'd Natt is the consummate professional! We visit Bangkok twice a year, and Chakrabongse is always the first place we book ahead at!

Excellent, five star dining experience all around, set on a property owned (and lived in) by the Thai Royal family. Reservations are required and seating is limited to 20 people per night. The food is a pre fixe tasting menu, and they have a vegan menu which is what we ordered (2200THB/pp). The food was amazing, best food we had in Bangkok, very thoughtful flavor profiles over the many courses served, and very filling (we couldn’t finish all of it). The views and venue were beautiful and a nice escape from the craziness of Bangkok. Natt (the manager of the property) was a pleasure to communicate with and super professional all around. Can’t recommend this place enough.
