    More than 100 years (established in 1909) old school. About 1800 students are studying here divided into two shifts; Morning and Day. Present Headmistress is a learned woman with an extraordinary personality.

    Jhalokati Government High School is one of the oldest and most traditional educational institutions in Bangladesh. The institution was established in 1872 by name Moharajonzo and with the great efforts of some wealthy businessmen. The British government took over the running and management of the school in 1853 and henceforth it was renamed as Jhalokati Government High School. At present, Jhalokati Government High School offers classes from Class III to Class X in both morning and day branches. The environment of the disability friendly educational institution is very pleasant.
