Have been visiting here for a long time. They have adapted so well to the Covid pandemic. Temperatures are taken at the door and you are shown to your table. Table service. The food here is wonderful, fresh and you get great portions. Excellent choice of cakes! A great stop off after walking the bridge.

We only had a hot drinks here (hence the 4 stars) which we both really enjoyed! The food boards looked good and so did the cakes that were on show, so i will give another review next time we are here. It was clean, fresh, new and welcoming is all I can say at the moment.... 29/11/2023... Finally had a chance to try their brekkie after attending a concert in Hull the previous night.... Although the breakfast was fab, I have still left it at 4 stars because the prices are quite high, and the North Sea Observatory breakfast is still a little better (seems nobody can beat them!) I feel there was too much scrambled egg and it was a little watery underneath, but other than that, it was a good plateful of food....And definitely recommended if you are in the area.

Breakfast portions are extremely generous verging on excessive, but tasty and well- presented. Breakfast is available until 11:30am. Lunch was very good. Fried fish batter thin and crispy and not over-cooked. Chips were quite good; double frying would be better. The pie is bought-in, not home-made but good, nevertheless. Chicken burger comes with a whole chicken breast in a bun. Coffee could be a little bit hotter. Sauces were in sachets. Generally good value for the price. Look out for the alpacas (not on the menu). Apologies, the pies look very professional but are home-made

Just a really good place to eat. Service is brilliant, soon as walked in menus brought to our table the food ordered came very quick, and food great. Somedays can get very full of people, sometimes had to queue and wait for tables but worth the wait if that happens to you, chairs available to sit on.After walked around the other shops got bargain plants.

Really lovely place very busy in the cafe, we took a group from a residential care home, with wheel chairs etc the staff were very helpful putting 2 tables together for us and letting us order food separately, the food arrived quickly it was delicious. I will definitely be going back. The garden centre was small but well stocked with well cared for plants, nice staff and a lovely gift shop. Our residents loved it.

Cosy atmosphere. Love the brickworks and food and service is really good. Lovely lady from the garden centre recommended some plants for our garden. Going to go back for a plants trip next time!

The food was good, however one of our meals was late coming out and there was no apology offered. The dining room was very busy and very loud; at times it was difficult to hold a conversation. The views of the lake are beautiful.

A beautiful garden centre by the Humber Bridge. Sampled some cider at the brewery also!

Great location, very good service and quality food. The only negative in my opinion and sadly common with many businesses is that it was payment by card only. We had already ordered before realising this. I feel that cash should always be allowed and for that reason only I wouldn't go back.

First time visiting here and overall wasn't that impressed, nice entrance and building but after that it's clear this is a profit driven machine. Prices are very very high, how does a sandwich cost £9... in Barton, that's London prices?? I can but only describe it as somewhat 'snobby'. Went for lunch and they were somewhat accomodating but food wasn't great, seemed a bit pointless having someone to seat you at your table and it seemed very frantic and rushed there was almost pressure on people to finish quickly and go away, maybe just get rid of that person and that'll save people a few pence on their meals and they'll feel more welcomed and less pressured. Garden centre wasn't really much of a garden centre and most of the artisan places were closed. I understand garden centres usually aren't the cheapest but was taking the monkeys a little. Don't think we'll be back anytime soon.

The place is lovely. Excellent coffee, food and cake. Staff are very friendly. 4 stars given as they had a power cut, which is fine, however, I feel they could have done more for them to explain what was happening. Anyway we chose to wait 10 mins and all was resumed. They were very apologetic but next time just keep your customers stood in the queue informed so we dont think you are just ignoring us

Disappointed. There was a wait for a table. There was a wait for food. Most of the menu was not available as they were missing basics like bread. There was no table service. The tables were too close together. You had to fight to get out to the counter to order and people were dragging outside clothes over the freshly wiped tables.

First time visit but will definitely return. Lovely venue (with covid safety measures), nice food and drink with lovely customer service. Try and visit the workshops around the back of the cafe if you get chance too.

We saw this as we drove over the Humber Bridge so decided to visit on the way back. Was a quick visit but would like to go back when less windy. An interesting Artisan Lane featuring craft beer and gin producers, a "traditional" sweet shop and a couple of other shops which we didn't get around to seeing. A lovely garden centre. Would like to try the restaurant/tea room on another occasion. On the whole - well worth a visit.

Went today for the first time, there was a lot of items not available, we were told prior to ordering what was not available, not an issue at first as what we’d planned to order wasn’t affected. Made our order and sat down awaiting our food. Someone came over a few minutes later to inform us that the food we ordered was now also not available, we then had to order something else. Understand places run out of items but there was a lot unavailable. The food that we did get was nice enough so no complaints there, portion sizes pretty decent and priced well. Soft drinks are incredibly overpriced; £2.50 for a 250ml coke and £3.20 for a 330ml Fanta is insane.

The service and food here is excellent! They adapted a dish from the menu to make it vegan and it was delicious! The garden centre was lovely too, I would definitely recommend visiting.

👍 The pub looks good after having an extension to the building which has bought it up to date. I always liked this pub when I was often there during the 70's. The extension includes a good sized restaurant which was not open when I was there. I enjoyed a good pint sat in the west facing grassed ove...
