Loved this place. First time to Bath and a friend recommended we try the pies(meat) and beer here. We ordered 3 meat pies, some sausages, beers and a dessert and could barely walk we were so stuffed. The different gravys were best I have ever had. I highly recommend. Staff is friendly, food is great, beer is amazing.

Great little pub with very well kept cask ales and tasty pies. Fantastic service from the welcoming and extremely polite team. The vegan pie was piping hot but not overcooked and homemade chips fresh and plentiful. Sage and onion vegan gravy top class. We have visited on quiet daytime but atmosphere was very homy and made us stay longer than we have originally anticipated. Thanks again for the pleasant experience. We'll be back

One of my all time favorite English pubs. Such a really relaxing atmosphere to down a few pints and have one of their renowned meat pies. If you are not careful you will walk right past it. The service has always been spot on and the ambiance unpretentious, just the kind of place I enjoy unwinding in.

Great pub to visit in Bath. Be aware that the place often very VERY busy and spaces are very small/tight. But totally worth visiting! Especially foods are superb if you can get a table Because the place is always busy, the service can be not so great time to time.

amazing true pub British experience. Appropriate for the vibe of Bath. Take pies, mushed peas, beer. No need for other food here) imho

I haven’t ever had high hopes from British food, but oh boy! did this place prove me wrong. I ordered the Heidi pie with the red wine and thyme gravy - it was absolutely full of flavour and I’m so glad I skipped out on breakfast! The ordering system threw me off, and for the longest time I thought a waiter was going to come to our table to take the order, turns out you have to place even the food order at the bar. No complaints though, we were sitting outside and it was a beautiful day!

Excellent pub. Love all the raven decor and the food menu is the most solid traditional pub menu I’ve come across. Prices are pretty reasonable and the atmosphere is warm. Make sure you check out the other levels as well!

A lot of locals come here. The first floor has an extensive bar, the second floor has open seats for food. The deco is very traditional. Very classic pub. We ordered the Raven Ale Pie, it was good! Great and fun experience.

Good service upon arrival. Good drinks selection. Unfortunately a lot of pies were out of stock when we went in but the ones we settled on were tasty (1x venison and 1x chicken).

Very cool and friendly olde style pub, with offerings, both classic and modern. Lovely pies for everyone, even vegans. Had pie, chips and gravy with a few pints—couldn’t be happier.

Super cosy pub with a delicious pie selection (including 4 vegetarian options!). Unlimited gravy too! Though I would ask to have this served on the side to avoid soggy fries.

Best pub in Bath and the best I have been to in the UK. Delicious simple pub food done right, even decent options for veggies and vegans. It's a cosy comfortable place with very friendly staff and regulars. A fantastic place to wait out the rain for a few hours if needed. How a proper pub should be

Externally busy place. I would recommend trying to get a table at least an hour before you get hungry. Tables turn quite quick. Food wise, it’s definitely in my top 3 pies ever.

Best pub in Bath.....bar none. Amazing selection of real ales. The pies and gravy are to die for. Such a quirky place full of nooks and crannies to sup a beer or play a board game. The attic Library is also an amazing space to meet up. Will always visit whenever we are in Bath.....so good, I literally bought the T-Shirt.

Best place in town to try the pies and craft beer. I really liked the food and service. Didn't like the furniture. Seats and tables looked like unfinished industrial products and were quite uncomfortable. (don't know of it is related to skme renovations they are doing).

It's a weekend away in Bristol and a day trip to Bath !! Bitterly cold and sleeting we have done our retail therapy and now to get in the warm and enjoy a pint and a pie and chips. Nice choice of real ales ( none particularly to my taste ) and very expensive mulled wine ! Nice atmosphere but not particularly warm we spent a pleasant late afternoon and enjoyed the pie and chips....and a choice of gravy. Very popular pub and was packed throughout our time there. Good bar staff, very helpful and friendly...

I was recommended to go here and it was great! We went at 5:30 on a Thursday evening and it was busy, but not full. It filled up later. We were in the upstairs bar which was a bit snug, but still great. There was a limited gluten free menu, so my wife was catered for. But only one of two options were available. Staff were great, plenty of them and they were very accommodating. Food was first rate! Good portion size, good quality. Beer was first rate. A good selection of great beer. Definitely going back!

Multi-level pub with a great old vs modern vibe clashing together. Great choice of craft beer styles. Highly recommend grabbing their 5x 330mL flight. Only 11£ + comes on a literal massive chunk of a plank. 🍻

If you want a proper British Pub you have come to the right place. Raven Pie and Lamb bangers with mash. Gravy is to die for.

Wow! Food is amazing, possibly one of the best pies I've ever had. All with homemade chips or mash and a choice of gravies. Great choice of drinks too. Staff are friendly and welcoming. If your in Bath, this is a must.

Truly some of the best pies I've ever had! The Steak and Blue is my favourite and I can't seem to convince myself to try anything else - but friends and family I've gone with always rave about their choices as well. This pub doesn't accept reservations, which can make it tricky to plan on a busy weekend. On the other hand, it tends to mean you're bound to get lucky enough to snag a seat if you hang around a bit. A good selection of cask ales and local ciders available. Seating can be very cramped when it gets busy. I find the atmosphere cosy and jovial, but it may prove a bit difficult to navigate for anyone who utilizes a wheelchair. Overall a well priced and delicious meal in a good environment. I always make a point to stop in when I'm in Bath.

Loved this pub! Good selection of Ales and great service. Too bad I didn't get to try any of the pies, maybe next time!

Surprisingly big inside with 4 bars, 3 floors, and lots of draught beer. But despite the good beer, the pies are the hilight here. There are a number of pies and gravys to choose from. Both that we tried were excellent.

Perfect first "true" pub experience. The staff are courteous, and the food is exceptional. Perfect for a late night meal and drink. Recommend the beer flight as well.

Love the Raven! Authentic nice pub, with good selection of ales and lagers on tap, so you definitely won't go thirsty! They also serve nice pies from Pieminister with your choice of fries/mash, and your choice between different kinds of gravies. A must go if you are in Bath!

Nice little pub, after a long day of walking in the rain it was just what we needed. Lots of local larger and friendly bar staff. There were food and nibbles available too.
