    I had the absolute misfortune of staying at this hotel, as it was the chosen hotel of a clinic that I was visiting. I can’t emphasise enough how much of a nightmare it was. I really would have given 0 stars if Google allowed it. During the daily house keeping, they decided it would be a great idea to remove the external key from my room (without my permission of course), which effectively turns off the fridge inside. Sounds like a minor inconvenience, right? ABSOLUTELY WRONG! Inside that fridge was a crucial medication that I needed for my health. It was clearly labeled as ‘keep refrigerated’ and ‘do not touch’. Upon the first occurrence, when I brought this issue to the staff’s attention, they were not just unhelpful but downright rude. After I confronted them for how rude and inconsiderate they are, one of the front desk reception staff said that he will make a note and ensures this won’t happen again. The next couple of days, it happened again! Once confronted again, they refused to accept responsibility for their mistake, even though it was clearly their fault. They provide no reason whatsoever for taking my key away every time! They ignored my requests, which were clearly for an important reason - my health! Apart from that they showed zero empathy for the health concerns I faced because I had to throw out my medication, even my back up pack, because of their wrong actions which they had absolutely no right to (aka taking away the key)! On the day of my flight back to Australia, I asked them to either source the medication for me or reimburse me, as I need to take it prior to my 20+ hours flight. They ignored my requests! What’s worse, they refuse to even provide a simple invoice for my stay (which was paid in full and up front!). Needless to say that this should be a basic service in any hotel. Instead, they chose to lie and manipulate the situation, stating that other people, including the clinic, is a liar or at fault. This review is not just a complaint but a plea for the hotel to acknowledge their wrongdoing and take responsibility. I have made many attempts to resolve this matter with the help of the clinic, or contacting the hotel’s incompetent managers directly. They need to understand that the world has rules, even if they don’t abide by them in Istanbul; and they are obligated to settle this situation immediately by providing the invoice, reimbursing me for the damages caused, and the health concerns I had to endure. It’s time for them to step up and show some accountability for their actions. Last I finish by this…If you are getting a procedure done, make sure you do not go to this hotel, as you may endure a near death experience and no one would really care or take accountability.

    This is suppose to be a 5 stars hotel? Seriously? Awful service, we found food and hair in the bed and on the floor and asked to be clean again and they ignored my request. The breakfast is nothing like the pictures,ridiculously poor. One of the worse hotel in istanbul,do yourself a favor and find a better one,is not gonna be difficult.

    We stayed 6 nights in this hotel. We were aware about the location but the surroundings were disgusting, the view is horrible we literally were offered a view of car parkings and mechanics. You could hear anything in the room , even when someone passes by your door. The staff in the hotel were rude and not welcoming at all. No one ever smiled or helped with anything. To finish a very unpleasant breakfast , the same food every day not up to a 5 stars hotel standards at all . It can be a 3 stars hotel but never 5. I do not recommend at all.

    Avoid at all cost. Words cannot describe the stress this hotel has caused our family. To be called a 5star hotel is an absolute joke. Dirty rooms, rude staff and absolute theives. My mums gold bangles were stolen from her room and to top it off the staff has the audacity to blame me (HER DAUGHTER) for stealing them. Refusing to put any blame on the cleaner who was the only one who entered the room OR the laundry team, should we assume the bangles were lost between the sheets. The duty manager BURAK was extremely rude, unprofessional and refused to search the team or investigate further. Stating “why should I blame my team this is your room and you’re responsible for your items”. He refused to call the police and insisted for us to find the number and call them as it’s our “problem”. It was only after we pressured him to call the police that he stormed off and asked the receptionist to call the police. How is he a manager I have no idea!!!! Also, it was extremely frustrating to learn that there had been no communication between the night and morning shift, as anyone who we’d speak to in the morning would state they have no idea of the issue. The police are now investigating the matter and we are awaiting further details. 2)unhygienic rooms - we took images of the filth that was under the beds and the corners. Bedsheets were not changed daily!!!! and when shown to the cleaners no care was shown at all. Not to mention the broken glass we found near the mini bar. We asked for this to be cleaned, however upon our return we still found huge pieces of glass on the floor!!! 3) upon leaving asked for a staff to take down our suitcases - we were left waiting for over 30 minutes and in the end my husband had brought all suitcases down. When asked the receptionist he had rudely stated we've already sent one! Absolute joke of a hotel. We are still awaiting for the police to get in touch and inform us about the gold. Please save your money and do not book with them! It’s not even situated in a good area.

    The hotel is very nice but there is nothing close by. the view It is terrible. I post a picture from my room. The hotel is located in an industrial area and an area for car repairs and carpenters. Imagine waking up in the morning to the sound of engines and car repairs. If you want to visit any place, you have to wait hours to see a taxi. In the.The reception is very bad. My wish was to see any of them smile

    It was a nice experience, the hotel employees are very polite and helpful and would do anything for you to make you feel comfortable If you want a taxi just tell them and a taxi will come right away The breakfast is a buffet but not an open one as you don’t get to put the food but the restaurant personnels will fill your plate for you, same goes for drinks The location of the hotel is far from most of Istanbul’s activities but you have metro station nearby so that wouldn’t be a problem Overall it is a recommended hotel for the great hospitality of its crew, many thanks to them 🌺

    we don't give you that high point because from the beginning we were not well helped we had booked 2 rooms close to each other.when we were here there was no 2 single bed room available we had to wait until 3 am for our room.en then my daughter's bracelet was gone in her room, the cleaning staff had taken their bags. Cleaning staff has no right to touch the guest's property and it was not a cheap bracelet and unfortunately you did not help us well, we also had no further time to go to police .we are really dissatisfied with this hotel

    Bad hotel.. Bad breakfast... very bad location in the middle of industrial area the location is ugly no intertaintmet available in the around. At the end they did PCR test for us around 200$ when we back to our country the QR code of PCR is fake and we did it again. I don't recommend this hotel never

    mold, dampness and bacteria in the shower is standard in the lionel 5stars hotel. We changed The room and same problem - stuff dont care. the room was supposed to be ready at 12:00 - when I arrived at 12:00 to check in The reception stuff informed me that the room is not ready unless I pay 100$ then I will get a better room that is ready to go. very poor level of service and attempts to sell upgrade. on. I waited for the room for about 15 minutes and with the feeling that if I had paid, I would not have waited - very poor customer service. breakfast ok Poor turist location spa ok Dont recommend because of mold

    My boyfriend and I stayed at Lionel Hotel for 8 nights. First of all, the hotel is not located in a very nice area, and there is no restaurants in walking distance. Secondly, it was our experience that most of the other guests where staying at the hotel as part of a surgical trip. It was not the most pleasant experience eating breakfast next to other guests with their heads covered in bloody bandages. The worst thing was however that some of our personal belongings had been stolen from the hotel room. That made us feel very unsafe. The hotel did not respond well to this situation, and did not offer to cover the stolen items. This may look like a 5 star hotel, but the service is definitely only 1-star.

    Love this hotel. Stylish nice modern room, comfortable bed. Big choice for breakfast omelette station. If you check out early you can ask on reception for breakfast box to take away, just request a day before. Location is a bit out of city center but you can't get everything. Definitely recommend it.

    I have travelled with a group of people, and it has been a great experience, the receptionists were very kind and very professional, the room was very clean and quiet. It is a hotel with great attention to detail and the food was very good. The meeting rooms and the events' room were very spacious…. Thanks for everything Ali

    The hotel itself is great. Rooms are good breakfast is great however the staff are the worst. Left a really bad feeling. No customer service whatsoever. Rude unprofessional no one smiles at reception no one is keen to actually help. The waitstaff look unbothered. No comprehension as to how to approach their customers. The overweight man at breakfast reception is just a complete joke. Do better with customer service. Will not be staying there there again. It’s unfortunate

    The connected family room is large, calm, and comfortable. The services are great, at the reception they meet us with sweets and juices. Convenient stores are available around the hotel. The breakfast is perfect and has a variety of several kinds of plates.

    I stayed at the Lionel Hotel for a week for a business matter in Istanbul. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean, modern and comfortable. The staff were very polite and friendly. Breakfast was excellent, with a lot of options. The only downside for me to not giving it five stars was the location and the surroundings. There were many mechanic shops around, and you could wake up in the morning with a a lot of noise from these shops banging around. Other than that, the Grand Hotel.

    I am doing this review about Lionel Hotel and their staff. What a pleasure it is to be able to come to this Hotel and be well received by all of the employees with such respect and love. It has been my 3 rd trip to Istanbul The staff Sevim Sucu is such a wonderful person. She has been on point with taking care of my room, and all I needed. Surely I will recommend this Hotel especially Sevim to anyone who would like to visit Istanbul hotel Lionel May the Lord continues to bless them all.

    We stayed 5 nights, good size rooms, welcome reception, very good rain shower, fridge in room, good air con. Cafe, restaurant, swimming pool, room service menu, we were happy with our stay. A uber to the grand bazaar was about £7 so not to far from the hustle & bustle.

    i stayed here for 4 days 3 night, the room was very clean and comfortable, the staffs are very helpfull, especially muhabbat, she was really friendly. Hope i can visit istanbul again and stay at lionel hotel again💜😘 🇮🇩

    The hotel is nice, rooms with nice area, good value for money considering the 5*, although its a bit out of hand for those visiting touristic areas, since you have to catch at least two different transports to get there. Restaurant is not very big, so at breakfast it was common during our stay that you dont find a table where to sit down

    The hotel staff have been really personable and accommodating. From day one, Mr. Can has been very welcoming and giving us tips and recommendations on places to see and do. Ms. Seuim Sijcu housekeeping services have been wonderful and has always kept our room so clean and tidy with a friendly smile. Thank you for making our stay comfortable!

    Stayed for a operation recovery and loved the place. Rooms are spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Staff are welcoming, and the cleaning staff are lovely. The food was relatively inexpensive and good. Would use again

    Clean hotel. Buffet breakfast is decent and nice. However, please be cautioned that there are no nearby shops or minimart. I had to walk 10min to the nearest petrol kiosk just to get some snacks and groceries. The hotel is surrounded by many motorcar workshops. Overall I think Lionel is acceptable. If you want to just rest and relax for a night or two.

    I was 4 nights at this hotel and I had a great experience, the room was a good size and clean, food was great and employees were polite. And also it’s close to public transportation and local restaurants. I will definitely go back to Lionel hotel.

    Brilliant hotel. The facilities and cleanliness is exceptional. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable. Our connecting rooms were a treat. Location isn't the best but the team station is a short walk away and taxis are plentiful. Room was cleaned very well by Sevim Sucu the cleaner, on time and attentively. Excellent pool, sauna and gym facilities as well. Breakfast was very good at the restaurant and nearby local eateries and amenities were a short walk away also. Will visit again

    The cleanliness standard of the hotel are brilliant. A member of the housekeeping team, Sevim Sucu, was outstanding at her role and ensured the hotel room was always to our liking. Great location, room was well air conditioned.

    Pretty average 5 star hotel, good staff, great coffee at breakfast, rooms are a little bland, especially for the price, I'd say its slightly overpriced. I personally didn't have time to see all the facilities but from what I've seen they should be good. Location isn't actually too far from any tourist attractions but with the crazy traffic a normal 10 min drive can easily pass 30mins.

    Bed room is Excellent Staff are Helpful and nice Hotel deserve 4 stars because the breakfast is really 3 star hotel breakfast its really simple don’t believe the photos for breakfast. I have been to 4 star hotels and the breakfast was way more better. Really disappointing

    The front desk is not friendly. They don't even greet you or welcome you... nothing at all, only one thing that is good is the buffet and the room. The restaurant manager or the waiters they don't greet the guests. That's my own experience.

    Nice, clean, and very professional. Costumer service amazing. I like the gym. I would stay here anytime I come to Istanbul. Very good quality with affordable price compare to other hotels.

    The hotel is very well designed, the rooms are big and spacious. I booked a corner suite on the top floor and the view was spectacular. The customer service was outstanding, the staff went above and beyond. I wanted to particularly call out Kadriye who worked on the front desk. She organised a wonderful tour for me and when I left my headphones behind she helped me find them and organise sending them back to me in London. Thanks so much!

    If you want a headache go here. My brother had his covid PCR test here and tested positive. Then we went and got it done somewhere else and tested negative. When we arrived back at the hotel they wanted £700 pounds for the isolation room which was ridiculous, they didn't even help us find another hotel or get a taxi but basically said on your way mate.

    Told the hotel before arriving that it was my honeymoon and they assured me something romantic will be done for us, upon arrival nothing was done. Also the receptionist was never helpful and was lazy and simple requests for tooth brushes he would ask me if I can go to reception to collect instead of giving it to our room.

    everything is five star. The staff are trying really hard to please us . i came to Istanbul for surgery and was staying in a much more expensive hotel and changed for this one for the last three days and the lionel is so much better everything about it is better. the food is so beautiful i mean its really beautiful the best ive ever had in a hotel. the rooms are clean and im in a standard very cheap room. room service 24hour and taxi very easy to get. im leaving in the morning but honestly id definitely come back

    A wonderful, fantastic breakfast with a wide variety. Staff were extremely friendly at check-out in order for us to give a good rating which is annoying - provide the good service throughout. The room was spacious and the decor is beautiful. Overall we enjoyed with the breakfast a highlight.

    I had my wedding 20 days ago at this hotel, no words can describe how happy I was with the experience. As a foreigner, I had a lot of fears, anxiety as because u don’t know what will happen. But I am grateful. For the most beautiful experience in my life. The team working in the hotel and Miss Dilara were all like family they dealt with every problem very professional and came to serve us very quickly and gave us the best experience the true meaning of hard work, sincerity and honesty

    If only all rooms were like the executive suite! The superior room was decent and clean except for the aging grout marks at the base of the shower stall. Dining was very good with reasonable prices. Not much within walking distance except auto repair and body shops.

    As soon as we got to the hotel at 8 pm after a long flight and a written email 2 days prior making sure that our 3 rooms are in the same floor, we get to the hotel and nothing was prepared. I left a note while booking totally ignored my email was ignored too. They showed me three rooms and one of them was stinking so much. Then they replaced that one with a smaller room with the view of trash. Literally trash!!! Don't recommend at all. It's not that clean too especially bathrooms.

    Hotel not to be reserved. Disappointing welcome, the staff are arrogant and unprofessional. The hotel is not clean, in the restaurant they prefer to play on their phones than to serve the customers. Unedible food, especially chicken. The room is a nightmare, it is so dirty it looks like the previous guests have vomited on the carpet. The receptionist is rude. he says go smoke a cigarette first and then check for problems. We wanted me to cancel the hotel on booking and leave them the money when Booking asked for 65 euro to cancel the room and not the whole of 8 nights. The woman at the reception scammed me told me to request a free cancellation on Booking in order to get a refund. I did what she said so that she then asked me for 80 euro for the cancellation. If I would have done it on booking I would have lost less money. This hotel is worth 3 to 4 stars and no more.

    Beautiful clean room. Really confortable very attentive staff and good breakfast. There is one issue bothers me the guy in the reception of restaurant, he was shouting while I asking for a coffee, l repeat please don't shout talk nice you are working in 5 starts hotel , still l recommend!

    So I'll be very honest with my review. This hotel is nice and looking good and its ok if you're going for example surgery. the hood is a bit dangerous so I'll be careful if I go out. The service is slow sometimes but its ok they're nice. The person that I loved the most was the cleaning lady. Rimziye. Amazing woman with such a positive mind and smiling face. I was feeling horrible after my surgery but she was making sure to make us smile in the morning while she was coming to our room. If I have to come back for a surgery I'll come only for her. the only thing I don't understand is the price? the restaurant is really not good and the price is so high like hotels in besiktas. I was confused

    Worst hotel in the world for me. Everyone be careful when paying bills especially at the restaurant. First I ordered food to my room and the waiter charged me two times by card and then said it didn’t work and took cash, so I was charged 3 times my bank says they got the money it passed 5 days now and didn’t return the money I talked to the manager who was not helpful at all. Also, there is no privacy more than 3 time employees of the hotel entered my room in a blink of an eye. This was actually the worst experience at a hotel in my life.

    Good hotel, relatively new and clean. Good breakfast. I had issues with being given a smoking room on my first visit but this was rectified subsequently. Staff could be friendlier and ideally all rooms as non-smoking should become mandatory for the health benefits locally and for international travellers. The location is far from city centre and not well connected via public transport options. But otherwise appropriate for price.

    Stayed at the hotel from the 26th of Sept. to the 4th of October. The breakfast staff was wonderful so was the room service - without exception! The food was also good and not really expensive. The room though was so small you could barely move, it was extremely noisy and also the hotel was very far from the city center. The reception always acted as if something was funny, I avoided them as much as I could.

    We had a really great stay here, we stayed at the superior room and got amazing service, the rooms were nice and clean, the breakfast had a wide range of options which was nice. The gym and pool is opened all day, overall we had an amazing stay and highly recommend this hotel!!

    Such a great hotel here. All employees here have great personalities and also they know English as well. Their pool is free of charge and mixed it’s not big enough but it's good just for 5 people swimming at the same time. What great restaurants they have it was must tastiest food I’ve ever eaten in Istanbul. To be honest we ordered dinner for more than 2 nights here. The entire hotel and room were clean and neat. If i scale 1 to 10 honestly they deserve 8.5 or even 9
