Kinda nasty men's room, but an otherwise clean and gorgeous bar. Barstaff are great (Lisa!) and their charm creates a strong sense of community. Spacious with a fun decor. Two pool tables, a pinball machine, and a smart phone accessible jukebox. Lovely place.

The Grand Ale House is a Bellingham staple. Solid selection of beers and drinks. Open room atmosphere with a good couple of pool tables and game selections in the back. Great place to meet up with friends and gather. Food is solid pub/bar selections and a few good other items. Feels like a home town bar. Pootie has done a fantastic job of keeping this iconic watering hole a place to come back to.

Want to feel guilty about the history of the alcohol you drink? This is your place.

This is more of a bar than a restaurant. I would go here to drink, not eat. They have a great selection and the atmosphere is... well, like a saloon in an old western film. Nice place to meet people casually. Usually, it's great service; I have been going there occasionally for almost 14 years. On my last visit, however, the lady tending bar was so loud it was like she was screaming just with her regular talking. So loud I had to flee the scene!

This place is pretty great depending on who’s bar tending… There’s a bar tender that doesn’t give a very decent experience. Kind of rude, doesn’t know how to make any mixed drinks named off or shots or even puts in the effort to come up with suggestions with you that he may know, over pours (bit of a liability to the establishment that’s unfortunate..)

Great atmosphere and pretty good pub fare. The women servers were great! There is a very rude male bartender that I’ve experienced twice now. Will not be back if he’s working.

I took my sister there today. LThe food was excellent and there was plenty of it for the price. Unfortunately, the waitress couldn't pull herself away from the 2 guys sitting at the bar long enough to take our order. I literally had to walk up to the bar, while she watched, three separate times. Not impressed!

Got a cool local vibe where the bartenders refer to regular patrons by name. Has all of the necessary amenities down to buck hunt and quality fries with the barfood while being typically less crowded than most bars downtown. I love coming here to meet people.

The Grand is the go to bar for beers and food. It should be on your list of places to meet with friends.

Nice place to go in a small or big group on any night if you're not looking for it absolutely run with college kids. Has two pool tables, hunting games, pinball, whatever you need. Cheapest pitchers, spacious, brighter lighting, calmer pace. Love coming here at any point in my night. Heard they have food but haven't tried. Anyone have things to say about it? Would love to try sometime

Child free and a total dive. The food is good and the atmosphere is cool. You can be social, or sit quietly minding your own business. The wings are great! I recommend getting them naked with your favorite sauce on the side.

Cool place. Ashley and April and Laura are wonderful. Affordable, comfortable and they have pool and ski ball. Variety of bottles. Haven't tried food yet but seem to be a lot of happy customers getting the chowder and fish n chips.

Great little dive bar if you're looking for drinks. The staff were friendly and attentive, everything was clean, dog friendly inside. They have pool tables and AC in the back. Would not recommend the food unless you're looking for drunk munchies but the drinks were affordable and strong.
