The place is absolutely stunning, it has the perfect vintage set up. The little bakery is just amazing, lovely desserts and friendly staff. The food is delicious. They also have a vegetarian option. Wonderful place. Great vibe about it . First time there and it was lovely . Went to wedding reception in the evening and it was outside and very nice . From the staff to the owner they were all very nice and helpful. The food out of this world . All finger foods . The coffe was delicious. I could not stop eating . Well done to everyone that was involved in putting all of this together. Will definitely come again soon . It's in Benoni but it's worth the drive. Thank you again.

We had an birthday event in the Lavender Room. And it was soo special and they were very helpfull and very fast with the orders. They have unique views of the old masterpiece of a home. Very warm welcome and interesting history stories. The menu is very delicious and would recommend this as a party venue.

Food was really good, only problem is that it is outdoors so while shade is not a problem as a giant the provides shade for the whole cafe which is good for aesthetic, flies are the major problem as whenever i was not eating, i had to be swatting flies away.

This venue is a gem very close to the centre of Benoni. An elegant set up of cosy dining areas; they are happy to prepare a high tea for small groups or large, open on Sunday until 14:00. I had the privilege of having a high tea with 2 friends, a delicious sampling of savory and sweet delights just beautifully presented. The service is excellent too.

Very nice setting, lovely old house, good menu. BUT - the coffee was not particularly good, and cold. 3 out of 4 breakfasts, cold! As in ice cold! Cold eggs, just not on. Everything had to go back for reheating (microwave of course) and came back 😖👎

Was there for a birthday. This hidden antique house is a jewel not to be missed. You experience the ambiance of the victorian era the moment you step into the garden and the house. The service and food is excellent. Great place for a special occasion or just a treat. Will definitely drive there from Pretoria again.

A little cafe restaurant with a very good setting and vibe. The outside area is perfectly balanced and the inside cosy. The drinks are nice, as expected and the food surprisingly good. The prices are a little steep but it makes sense in regard to the elevated quality.

I need to get hold of Oxford to update their dictionary. I can not get the right word to describe this blissful nostalgic girly day my daughters and I had. Being a 25th birthday I decided on trying the high tea. And wow.... It was just .....(dictionary word needed) here! Due to food allergies, the pastry chef send us the most amazing and delicious tray of delights. Every bite was just out of this world. It was difficult to decide what I liked best but the lavender macaron won. This is perfect for those girls only dates and/or guys this is the perfect spot to impress the lady or ladies in your life. Do visit the little charity shop on the premises. Just to much wonders to describe about this gem. Go on, make a booking and go see for yourself.

I was so looking forward to high tea as birthday treat for friend and family. Unfortunately the scones had an awful fish smell??? And the macarons were rock hard and inedible. We also asked for another coffee which I presumed was bottomless as it is at most afternoon teas but that was an extra R95 on the bill. I do not feel it was worth the rather high price I paid. Out waiter was lovely though and decor was nice

I have recently been in contact with Victorian Secret as I am in NZ and trying to find birthday gifts for my friends that live in Benoni. They even delivered the delicious box for treats. Karin has been fantastic and would highly recommend supporting them.

Let me start with the negative.. I really love it when themed café’s really embody the reference of their theme. Unfortunately The Victorian secret could be named anything, the deco is bland and leaves a lot to be desired no picture moments here 🥲 The food was really good well worth the drive down into Benoni. We enjoyed a high tea in celebration of my daughter’s baby shower! Everything was perfect, from our first interaction through to the actual celebration, we were taken care of, the food was outstanding and the price was excellent! The ladies that assisted were amazing!!!

Ive made 3 visits here. The baked goods were lovely, the food was good but too salty. I was a bit disappointed to find they were closed at 15:50 on a week day when their published operating hours stated 16:30. I was equally dismayed that they made no apology and no attempt to assist me even though I only wanted to buy some bakery goodies.

I found this quaint little place on google and my husband and I went for breakfast, Not disappointed! Absolutely beautiful surrounding (inside and outside in a beautiful garden), The staff were very friendly and we felt very comfortable. The menu itself is limited but that can be expected however the quality of the dishes are superb and overall amazing, perfectly sized and delicious.

Peaceful, rustic, and cozy - this little cafe is one of my all time favourites. Their customer service is always 100%. If that isn't enough to get you back there, their menu definitely will. At reasonable prices, I love the taste of their home made style dishes. Keep it up everyone! Will definitely recommend and return to Victorian Secret!

We had a amazing high tea for my moms birthday there and the service was a bit slow but the food was amazing. Table was decorated a bit to plain thpugh.

Disgusting..... Ordered a cheese cake for a special occasion. Picked it up and it looked liked it came out of the dustbin. Returned and spoke to the owner to rectify the situation. Was treated badly by the owner and once the cake was kind of rectify (not wat requested) when the cake was cut and eaten at the occasion it was obvious that the cake was not fresh (as requested). Disgusting and disappointing.
