Great coffee, which was as expected given the quality of this part of the overall service provided has not changed over the years. The first time I visited this cafe was in mid-2011 and I have been here several times over the years I was living in Bergen, but not so often nowadays given that I live in the sunny side of the country, Oslo. I recently returned to Bergen for a long weekend and naturally I wanted to visit this cafe before I left the city, which I did. As I mentioned, the coffee was great, but the service has completely gone down the drain. I have to ask, why the pretentiousness from the people working there who’s only job is to serve coffee and food? The attitude of the big headed people working there was more than enough to turn me off from visiting this place again, no matter how many more awards they win. This is a small coffee shop in Bergen, not London, Paris or Berlin, or even the global coffee capital of the world, Melbourne……Maybe they might be a bit depressed given the whole Corona affair, but I highly doubt this. So, for those reading this and looking for a place to have a coffee in Bergen, there are plenty of other good coffee shops in town, maybe with fewer awards from over the years, but they definitely provide a better overall cafe experience than this venue. Goodluck and perhaps take a look at yourselves and try to return to your roots of 10 years ago……Mvh.

Incredible coffee. I almost didnt go because there were no good pictures on this google maps page. Barista got a bit upset that I took the video of the latte art though 🤷‍♂️ nevertheless it was awesome coffee and more people should see and try this!

Freaking amazing specialty coffee place. Very knowledgeable and attentive barista who spent the time to dial in my espresso since I was the first one to have those specific beans that day. That's beyond impressive! Highly recommended.

Coffee was good. I had cappuccino. It seems that the cafe (or its baristas) has won several awards for their coffee! They were also selling brewing equipment and coffee, BUT (yes there is big but) i didn’t find anything very special, very creative or very unique there ! Considering the fact that it’s number 2 on the foursquare list for cafes in Bergen, i expected more !

Really tasty and high quality black coffee. I have been to this cafe today and a few months ago. A blonde girl Barista and a guy Barista with medium length brown hair were very knowledgeable and helpful. I think that this is the best cafe in Bergen. Greetings from Polish Barista✌🏽️

Patronised on a rainy day for daily fix. Nice coffee pairing with a good book to read. Absolutely tranquil. A side note, this cafe runs on self service, order & pay at the counter, collect your drinks after that.

Wonderful little coffeeshop in Bergen. Beautiful aesthetic with clean lines, tasteful art and simple design. This is a great spot to work while enjoying a delicious cup of coffee before enjoying the rest that Bergen has to offer. They also have a small but varied sampling of pastries both savory and sweet. They have a wide variety of single origin beans that the baristas will skillfully prepare in any way you take your coffee. I personally enjoy pourovers and had one of the best cups of coffee in a while. The baristas are kind, welcoming, and knowledgable about their beans. They also have clean bathrooms for those interested. We will definitely be back the next time we're in Bergen

Amazing coffee with a wide variety of bean choices. I kept coming back for the v60 coffee, which was so good it inspired me to buy one and try it at home. The barista was SO friendly-when I asked questions on how to do it she made a demo cup for me just so I could learn. I bought two bags of their coffee and I’ll be sad when I finish it all. Free wifi. Great location. Best coffee I had in Bergen!

Excellent coffee. There was a choice of 2 single origins for espresso-based drinks. This cortado (Kenya Nyeri Karogoto roasted by Tim Wendelboe of Oslo) had currants, chocolate notes.

Delicious, one of the best cappuccinos I’ve had. The mocha was very good too - made with real chocolate and not too sweet. Worth a stop!

Very delicious coffee! However, the Chai Latte didn’t taste like a Chai normally does and was very watery.

Located two short blocks from the port area, this fulfilled their mission (misjonen) by serving an excellent espresso-based drink (cortado) and a delicious chocolate croissant. Worth the (slight) detour!

Maybe I had too high exceptions for this place, but I was a bit disappointed. The cappuccino was not well balanced, a too much coffee and little foam. I also asked for a matcha, which was totally wrong. The water temperature was boiling, instead of around 80 C, which killed the matcha's distinctive flavours. A bonus for the muesli and yogurt, which was really good. Croissants are good, but in the average of other coffee shops. It is a pity that a such specialized coffee place does not have a decaf coffee option.

Google denied my initial 5 star rating. Don't know why?! Since that coffee I had was definitely worth the 5 stars, let's try again to give you guys the rating you deserve....

A nice spot for good coffee and something quick to snack. I had cappuccino and granola with yogurt & marmalade, which was really delicious.

Really delicious coffee. Best I’ve had in Norway yet (which isn’t many tbh). Brownie was gooey, rich and delicious!

Kaffemisjonen has excellent coffee and great atmosphere. The place is used for working by many of the city's academics. I really recommend this place!

The best cortado I’ve ever had. You can tell they are passionate about coffee and make it with care. Loved the interiors - they were clean and modern.

Great presentation and quick service. The croissant was so good I went and got another one. The hot chocolate was nice and bitter, not too much sugar, and lots of flavor. I also ordered a double espresso but it wasn't quite my type of roast. It's a little more acidic/sour than it is bitter, but it's certainly tasty maybe a cappuccino would do well with it.

Super friendly and amazing coffee! My favorite coffee in Norway so far. I got the aeropress with Ethiopian beans. Amazingly fruity and full of delicious body. My friend with my claimed the croissant was the best he has ever had.

Wow the double shot latte was just what I needed in the morning. It literally gave me life and happiness. This cafe is on the way to the city centre and seems to be one of the few cafes that open early (8am versus 10am or midday). Perfect way to start the day! I noticed that Norwegian cafes don’t typically do flat whites and opted for the latte which did not disappoint. While waiting for the coffee I noticed they had won some barista / coffee awards previously. Definitely visit for the coffee :)
