Amazing bread, pastries and sandwiches. Friendly, efficient and service with a smile. A must for lunch if you are in the area. If you are lucky, you can dine on the deck or street side.

September 2023 8.30am Breakfast. Toasted Pear with cheese sandwich. Awesome. Awesome. Coffee, Latte, was extremely strong, had to add more milk. Wifi, yes, Free. Service, awesome. Toilet, upstairs. Clean. Recommendations. Oh yes.

Delicious cappuccino and friendly atmosphere. A few gluten free sandwich and pastry options as well!

Relax and chill atmosphere with delicious made to order sandwiches. Good variety of bread available with plenty of toppings and condiments. Or if your looking for coffee/tea and a pastry. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

lack of a mechanism to control what is happening inside. employees do not have tasks assigned to each other. who carries out what order is unknown. what order for coffee was made and to whom - remains unknown. the result was waiting for coffee for 15 minutes, it was given to someone else. who, where, when - of course no one knows.

First coffee in Norway and immediately good impression. The coffee is a little bit expensive like all the country but is good with a particular taste of cinnamon. The place is nice and big and the costumer service is fast and friendly. Suggest: get the skolebolle.

The first really good coffee I've had in Norway. I'm a bit of a coffee snob. Be sure to skip Starbucks across the way and come here rather. Wonderful food and atmosphere too.

Good but totally overpriced. For the price of ONE scone at Godt Brød, you can buy exactly FOUR very good scones at Backstube!

Understaffed during lunch. All tables upstairs where full with trash/old dishes. 25minutes wait time for coffee (other customers came and went before we got ours). Actual taste was great though 👍 probably a fine place during non-busy hours.

Great bakery! Very delicious - I had a blueberry cream pastry and a smoothie, and my mom had a breakfast sandwich and a cardamom roll. Very delicious!

When I visited Bergen, Norway as a Visiting Scholar for 3 months, this coffee and pastry location was my first stop each morning on rising in an unfamiliar city. Godt Brodt has a nice cozy upstairs sitting area, and outside, even in chilly drizzly weather there are blankets set out onto the street to cover yourself if you don't mind enjoying your coffee and treat outdoors.

Wandering around Bergen we happened on this coffee shop on a Sunday morning. Being Kiwis we are somewhat fussy about coffee and here we had really the best coffee we’ve had in all of Scandinavia. My wife had a superb Chai Latte. So much so that when we had finished our walk around Bergen later the same day we found our way back for a second go, and we’re not disappointed. Highly recommend.

Really nice Cafe, spoke perfect English, and were more than happy to help. In addition to giving recommendations on what we should have, all were very nice. Will come back in the future!

Delicious sandwiches and pastries! Also, great coffee and smoothies. All signs in store are in Norwegian but all staff speaks perfect colloquial English. Nice seating inside or outside.

Amazing...the Danish pasties and the the 'boller' are delicious...the coffee is good...the sandwiches are also very tasty. The venue is small but enough space to accommodate everyone (most people orders take-away). It is a bit pricey but ...but worth it. I had breakfast for around 100 NOK.

Sasha was so friendly, approachable and helpful when I ordered two coffees and a delicious pastry. The atmosphere in the coffee shop is nice and warm, plenty of seats on the ground floor and upstairs. If I ever visit Bergen again, I’d definitely come back!

I'm a regular customer of godt brød and I've experienced that this place is very busy during lunch time 10:30 - 12:30. The problem i had was with the "custom sandwiches" And the scoones with nuts and berries. The sandwich was too oily and tasted only bread, was too little of ingredients i wanted on the sandwich. The scone was extremely salty, in the middle there was almost like a teaspoon of salt. Had to throw it away, it was not eatable.

Good food, but unpredictable cortados. If you feel for a sandwich, Godt Brød is a pricey but dependable place to get it. However, for the cafè experience, the place is noisy and its furniture is not exactly comfortable.
