I’m a platinum member and this year so far have stayed in 8 hotels. This is the worst so far because this “5 star” hotel gave me a room with an AC that doesn’t work. I was in Berlin when it got really warm/hot. And guess what people did with the crappy AC? Then opened windows and there were flies in the room. Really disgusting for a 5 star hotel. They switched our room and finally offered free upgrade as I’m a platinum member to an apartment which is the same as their Junior suites. And all of the rooms had the same problem. If you’re going to Berlin on warm days just don’t go to this hotel or your stay will be ruined. We have a toddler and with the heat and flies things were not good. Considering how much we paid to stay in a nice hotel that turned out to be worse than a motel. One positive thing is that the location is really good.

Once a great hotel I used to enjoy to stay - for my personal taste the renovations have made the hotel rooms feel cold. The rooms are nice nevertheless. However, the level of service and attentiveness has decreased drastically over the years. Definitely not up to what to expect at the current prices asked. Found alternatives at the same price levels with much better service for my stays in Berlin. Willing to return if the level of services increase again.

This was our first trip to Berlin and there was a massive choice of hotels, but this one stuck with us on our searches so we booked it. Well, we were not disappointed it was a wonderful hotel in a great central location. The staff were professional, courteous and friendly, from the reception staff, restaurant staff to the housekeeping staff. The room was large and beautifully decorated, with lovely furnishings. The buffet breakfast was delicious, everything you could want. I would 1000% recommend this hotel.

Amazing Hotel! Within easy walking distance of multiple shops and restaurants as well as historical sites. Extremely clean. Very comfortable beds and the staff is well trained and attentive. Note: the pool is closed with no plans to reopen it. Fitness area and sauna are nice. Be advised… inside the sauna is a nude zone… it is Europe after all!

A really good hotel in the center of Berlin. It is located right next to a metro station that easily provides access to any location within Berlin. The bed is really comfortable and everything is very clean. The staff was very nice and professional. Room service is very quick. The breakfast is a standard buffet of sausages, eggs and cheese. Lots of bread and some veggies as well. I haven't used the sauna/spa but they exist. Parking is expensive. Wifi speed could be better. Overall I'm very happy to stay 4 nights at the hotel.

Good, clean hotel with spacious rooms. Everything is available that you may need, with emphasis on quality. The hotel does look a tad outdated right now, but is currently being renovated.

This hotel has one of the best breakfast buffets ever although it can be expensive. Beds are comfortable but the rooms can be stuffy in the spring if they haven’t turned the AC on for the year. The in room units can’t run heat/ cold independently. The staff is very nice and the hotel is a very short walk from the Gendarmenmarkt and the Brandenburg Gate.

Excellent location. Great service. Hotel is a remodeled version of the older atrium style hotels in the US. Rooms are great and sizable by Euro standards. Only gripe is that our AC didn't work, but they brought a fan and it was cold enough outside at night to not matter too much, and the aggressive people at breakfast not letting me bring a bowl of fruit up to my wife 🙄

AMAZING hotel! Room is super clean, great decor and very comfortable. Great for allergy sufferers! No carpet, air is clean! Central location near all the tourist attractions. Staff was very friendly when checking in. I would absolutely stay here again!

Couldn't have been happier with the room. It was sparkling clean and comfy. The room temperature was just right. No need to fumble with the remote. I wish I'd had more time to explore the different areas in the premise as well as the neighborhood. Hopefully there will be a next visit.

The Westin Grand Berlin is one of the most beautiful hotels I have visited during my stays in Berlin. The reception and the staff (thanks Sacha) were really attentive and caring! One of my main criteria is the modernity of a hotel, and since its renovation we can say that it is successful! The entrance is resplendent with the tree of lights and its large hall. The rooms are great and spacious! The King Room has an impeccable bedding and the view from the room on the monuments of Berlin delighted us! Our stay in this hotel was wonderful!

Our issue were with service, we showed up 45 minutes before check in and we were plainly told we had to come back in 45 minutes. I was traveling with wife and child very tired and there was nothing welcoming about our first interaction. Once we had been in our room for about an hour a previous guest along with a hotel employee came into our room, the previous guest believed to have left his passport in the safe, even after I told them the safe was empty the insisted on coming in my wife half dressed and feeding our child. At checkout I asked if the property accepted Marriot Gift Cards (which I had obtained previously using a credit card) the clerk scoffed at me saying he had never heard of a guest pay with a gift card before. I didn't feel like arguing so I just paid and left. After my stay I filled out the usual email survey, the Guest Experience Manager replied stating among other things that "I am unfortunately not able to turn back time" which I suppose is some sort of an apology. Great location, the rooms are comfortable and meet most needs. Ordered room service and it was timely and the food was great though the portions aren't exactly generous. In summary I've stayed in hotels with better rooms, much better service for a bit less. I suggest you look for the same.

I only spent one night here. As far as the hotel is concerned I can't say anything negative, after all it is a five star hotel, but what I really didn't like was the bad reception. I've been living in Germany for two years and yes maybe Germans in general are cold people but at least when you are working at the reception of such a hotel you should be more warm welcoming. The guy standing there that day was arrogant and made us feel like he wanted us to live, I don't know if it had anything to do with our Arab figure !!! or just a case of the inappropriate person in the appropriate place. Either way it gives a very bad impression of the hotel !!

I tried the hotel; it didn't resemble a 5-star establishment, and anyone familiar with luxury accommodations would understand. The room is notably small and lacks the expected touch of luxury in its design. The breakfast is below average, with limited choices. The only redeeming quality is the hotel's location. Unfortunately, the wellness center provides the worst massage I've ever experienced; despite paying for a strong massage, they barely touched me

Decor seems in need of a refresh. Quite dark also. Staff aren't the warmest. TV channels not great. Breakfast is underwhelming. Staff seemed more keen on checking our breakfast entitlement than finding us a table. The location is excellent and right next to underground station. Note also that the hotel is repairing water damage on 3 floors. That means a circuitous route via the 4th floor to get to some rooms.

Finally a renovated hotel in Berlin. The rooms have been recently renovated. We had a room with a view of the garden that was lovely and quiet. I slept very well at this hotel. The tea set in the room was very nice. There is not swimming pool in the hotel, I was misled by the old photos.

Wonderful room. For those that care about water pressure and having a nice shower, this was among the best hotels I've visited. The breakfast buffet is great and easily worth the money to add to your room rate. Great location, literally a two minute walk from the U bahn. Only downside, and it was kind of a big one, was the lack of working elevators. Seems only one or two were working at a time. During breakfast and evenings this meant either an uncomfortable number of people in one elevator or waiting sometimes 10 plus minutes to use the elevator. Hopefully this is fixed soon, otherwise five stars.

The hotel is very warm and clean. The receptionists are very polite and they welcome you sincerely. You can find an answer for any question or recommendation you need to know. I enjoyed my stay in Frankfurt Berlin, and I always target a high-quality service. The only thing I don't like is that the housekeeping needs to be more focused and look into details.

Excellent service in the heart of Berlin. Rooms were clean and spacious. In close proximity of metro and train stations, allowing you to conveniently explore the city. One of the best hotels in Berlin.

Nice and clean hotel, perfect location. 1 thing i didn't appreciate when checking in, the receptionist informed me that in order to arrive to my room, i have to take the first elevator, walk to another elevator then go down to my room OR you can pay 15Euro/night extra, i can upgrade your room to another one which no need to take 2 elevators.

I chose this hotel only for the gym to maintain my competitive training. Big mistake. The cardio equipment (Lifefitness bikes) is either broken or missing. There's HOT AIR/HEAT coming out into the gym. There is no air conditioning. (Yes, even in winter, gyms require air conditioning --not heat!) My room at this hotel is also blasting out heat that's so bad I had to open the window in -8C. Also there are no small bottles of hair products to use when you do outside training. NO water in the gym. No wifi in the gym (or just very very poor) so cannot listen to your music. I just arrived last night and am scheduled to stay one week. I hope things improve because it has been extremely poor so far.

I liked the hotel. We lived on the third floor. The hotel is very clean. Breakfast is very good and varied. Room cleaning every day, thank you. Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel are provided in the room. Large TV, comfortable bed. The room is quiet. I definitely recommend it. Sincerely, Svitlana

NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL!!! The bag porters are just standing around having a chat non existent, carried out own bags up and down from our rooms! The front doors are usually barricaded closed! Does not have a swimming pool so don’t be fooled by the advertisements! Does not have a mini bar! Does not have room service until 5pm! The air-conditioning grill fell and broke almost hitting us in the head! The breakfast is over priced! The air-conditioning does not work!

Decent business travel hotel in Berlin, although I much prefer the Adlon, Ritz and Rocco Forte in Berlin. The breakfast is good, the staff is sometimes unfriendly. Many of the rooms have been unfurnished when I was there often a few years ago.

Location was great, but I found the hotel to be without much charm. Felt like another corporate hotel chain, so for me it wasn’t great. Location is very good though, which most will appreciate. They also have a Glühwein Bhutan outside with live music which was adorable. Rooms are small but functional.

Excellent. Only thing that wasn't 5 star was the bar. Ordered two cognacs. Barman basically slung them at me, no tray, didn't want to bring them to the table, no nibbles. €25 for two cognac you expect a higher standard of service... only thing that wasn't brilliant.

Beautiful hotel with lots of amenities, rooms are very comfortable. Staff is very helpful with directions, even drew a detailed map to find the spot I needed. Location isn't too far a walk to Brandenburg gate or checkpoint Charlie.

The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. But it was not worth all the stress with double payment and the inability of the hotel to solve problems quickly. Mistakes happen, but the least I would expect from the hotel is better problem solving. I was charged by my credit card for the stay, when I in fact I had already paid for the stay through booking. It seems that the hotel staff have some problem verifying the payments made by booking. When I went to check out at the hotel they wanted to charge me for the stay, but I told them I had already paid and showed them the receipt. They said okay, but a few days ago I went to check my credit card bill and they charged me again for the stay that I had already paid for. And they don't seem to be interested in solving this problem quickly. Or at least verify the payments and confirm me that they see the mistake and will solve it soon. It is not possible to talk to anyone from the accounting department by phone. I have been waiting for an e-mail for four days with an answer about this issue, but there is no sign of it. When I call the hotel, they tell me that I have no way to resolve this with them by phone and that I have to wait (I dont know how long) until the accounting can verify this and that the hotel in Berlin is full now. Very bad customer service! Regarding the stay, check-in was crowded when my boyfriend and I arrived at the hotel around 4 pm on a Saturday by the end of May, where there was what seemed to be an excursion to check in. The line was huge, it took a long time to check in, there were approximately three counters working and one check-in counter closed. We could still witness the scandal of a customer complaining that "that was not the room he had booked". In the booking-website I booked a room with "garden view", but on the second floor where we were I didn't see any garden. Unfortunately I did not take a picture to share the view. For our room, we had to take the elevator to the second floor and then go downstairs to get to the first floor, as this was the only way to get to the room. Check out the next day and it was also crowded. The stay at the hotel was not worth it for the stress of trying to review the undue charge they made me. I don't recommend it.

I visited only spa. It is really cosy, 3 different saunas, big relax area. Reception of the hotel is spacious and expensive.

An excellent hotel. Very lovely rooms and a great location. They had a lot of amenities in the room. I was a little put off by all the warnings of locking your stuff up and making sure the door is locked behind you but it didn't feel unsafe at all.

I had a very bad experience in this hotel, I was stolen from my room, it was 3550 Euro. But to be honest, the hotel administration Trying hard to help me in this case which I feel good about that efforts. Nothing happened for now and I didn't get my money back, but I hope this situation end soon in a good and fair way, based mainly on the hotel management efforts and the options that they offer to help me. I said everything honestly, including the efforts from the hotel side, and I feel very disappointed because of that critical situation!

This hotel was great. The room we stayed at was spacious and the bed was really comfortable. The hotel is really close to many famous landmarks which is a plus. Very easy to access food because their is a restaurant right down stairs. If you don’t wanna go downstairs room service is always an option.

The location of the hotel is great. It is not far from several attractions in the middle of Berlin and it is easy to walk to restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were well outfitted and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was very good and had more than many typical European hotels.

Location, location, location! This hotel has that in spades. Right in the heart of town and near to everything. It is also a gorgeous hotel. The rooms are modern and stylish and the staff is very friendly. I was disappointed in the bar and food offerings, but with so much around you can just skip that part and enjoy the hotel for what it is - a stylish hotel in the heart of the city.

Location is great right at the heart of Berlin and near to everything . The rooms are modern and stylish. The big disappointment is breakfast and food offerings. Also the staff is not knowledgeable, they have charged us for breakfast even though we were offered complimentary breakfast as a titanium Marriott Bonvoy member. The lady at the reception was rude once we have pointed out the mistake. It doesn’t feel much of a 5* hotel because of that.

Great place but get an inside room if you want to sleep with the windows open. Hotel is located at the most well-known intersection of the entire city, so it can be loud. Rooms are very high class and modern. Always a great experience.

A really great hotel. Large rooms, clean, comfortable, the staff works really well, like reall German. Delicious, varied and plentiful breakfasts. The location without any clarifications is very good. I am satisfied and grateful. I recommend.

The air conditioning did not work in the room allocated to us on arrival. The Westin Grand was fully booked, but Till Meier at Reception provided a fan and upgraded us to a room (with functioning air conditioning) the next day. He also provided us with a late checkout and a drink voucher. That is service!

Pros: - Location is phenomenal. You're right next to the tourist district with great shopping / food / sightseeing - The staff was friendly and helpful Neutral: - The included free breakfast wasn’t exactly my cup of tea, but I know a lot of other people in my group enjoyed it. Lots of different kinds of bread, cheese/jam/butter/Nutella, sliced meat, eggs, German sausage, fruit, and cereal Cons: - Check in was a bit delayed. I was supposed to be able to check in at 3:00, but my room wasn't available until 5:00. - Air Conditioning is a bit spotty. During my one-week trip I was actually in three different rooms (long story, no fault of the hotel). Only one of the three rooms had working A/C, which, as an A/C dependent American, was horrible - Wi-Fi was a little spotty as well. It went down for an entire 24-hour period at one point with no backup available. - Prices for the rooms was a little on the high end
