Very nice and clean room and bathroom. Excellent location. We paid €18 for parking on site, so convenient. Very friendly and helpful staff😁 I would recommend anyone that wants an incredible stay in a very nice location to book here!

Amazing hotel with very friendly staff. The location is perfect, very close to the center of Berlin and yet in a quiet corner so you won’t hear any traffic or noise from the city. Many iconic sights are within walking distance. When we come back to Berlin, we will 100% book here again!

I was in this hotel with my family last week. My family (3 children and 2 adults) stayed for 7 nights. Central location to all main attractions. All the receptionists were very friendly and attentive, especially the girl who checked us in on Saturday 10/02 where we stayed only one night (She is the best receptionist/employee, always kind and tries to help with the our needs). Clean, spacious room, but very small fridge, with small bath towels impossible to use, I used them as a tea towel to dry the floor. Bathroom slippers provided without providing a bathrobe? Incredible!!!! The mattress and pillows are too soft and caused me back problems. Overpriced parking that is not worth €20, because the door to enter the hotel from the parking lot is only opened from the inside, without a lift, with a dangerous access staircase (my husband hurt his neck because of this staircase) and if I arrive by car after 10pm I have to turn around and catch the rain with my suitcase. I booked a triple room again for one night on 02/15 (my wedding anniversary), paying €286 in advance because it was the only one available on the site, we arrived at the hotel and we were assigned a single room. We stayed with the receptionist with our bags for 45 minutes who said the system made a mistake in finding our triple room, trying to give us a room that had opened and was already occupied by people coming out of the shower . He apologized saying that the system cannot see the rooms already occupied !!!!! Amanzing !!!!! Then he finally managed to find a triple room. Breakfast is A DISASTER. There are no gluten-free options or they are not well signposted (no lactose-free yogurt, no fresh fruit) A small buffet corner with a few products that are not replenished. Cold croissants and in small quantities, if you arrive at 8:30 they are already finished. Waiters: thin man who speaks a little Italian and a mulatto woman who speaks Spanish, rude, with little patience, they didn't replace the products that were running out, they didn't heat up the croissants, and if I asked why a product was finished they answered me badly. Since these breakfast workers are not kind to the public and show that they do not like this job, it is better for them to move on to another type of service, so they don't talk to anyone and they don't serve anyone! My sister asked another breakfast attendant on their day off for a glass of bottled water, as my nephew had diarrhea and he kindly gave her the glass of water without hesitation. The day these 2 people serve at the bar is A NIGHTMARE, it makes me want to ask the hotel for my money back for breakfast...... I hadn't finished yet and they already take my plate away without asking if they can bring away with the plate.....My sister asked in English (a tourist is not obliged to speak German in a hotel) from the man who tries to speak Italian for the same glass of water that she had asked for the day before from a kind attendant, and this man, angry with life, replied to her in German scurrilously, shouting:....." Here everyone drinks water at the sink, if they want bottled water THEY HAVE TO PAY... . ." and she said she would pay then, but she didn't understand why it was a problem to have ONE glass of water in the morning for a child who had diarrhea from tap water, since he had been there with his family for 7 days and my husband and I stayed there for 2 days (this hotel received money 7 people per day). I would return to this hotel just for the nice people who clean the rooms and the reception ones, but I don't think we will return to this hotel again, unfortunately. The owner of the hotel should think about finding a different job for these 2 people who serve in the bar and who are not prepared to serve the public.

This was our second time staying at hotel Nikolai. It was incredibly good both times. The beds are comfy, everywhere is very clean and the area is fairly quiet. Most of all the staff are so lovely. We had our luggage carried up to our room and kept for us after checkout as our flight wasn’t until later in the day. We didn’t eat breakfast there but it looked delicious.I can’t recommend this place and it’s staff enough.

We were a party of 5... 2 adults and 3 children. The large room we stayed in was divided into three smaller bedrooms. The adults in one room, our soon in another room, and our daughters in the last room. They were fairly spacious rooms, with a tv, fridge, bathroom with shower, and a safe. We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel itself is situated in a quiet part of the city, down a laneway. Because of that it is easy to sleep at night... no loud people on the street waking you up in the middle of the night. And the rooms were warm, even though the heating was off. The only downside was the tv... great selection of channels, but they are all German speaking channels. I only speak English. It is a place that I would recommend to anyone, if you like to relax and it is only 15 mins of a walk to Alexanderplatz. Very central to everywhere!!

Stayed here for almost a week. Centrally located, very clean, comfy beds and spacious rooms of which my room had a terrace. Appreciated the complementary water each morning and the accessory kit upon arrival. Only issues were housekeeping seemed overwhelmed and the front desk had to respond to a few of our housekeeping-based needs that seemed forgotten (towels, mostly). Breakfast really needs more selection and diversity based on its cost but overall was simple but fulfilling. I’d still highly recommend this hotel. Please note there was no AC in this hotel*.

Fantastic location, great staff, comfortable rooms. Breakfast was fine to average at best. Wouldnt bother with breakfast if I stayed again. But given the location there are so many fantastic spots to eat nearby.

Sehr herzlicher Empfang, dies erlebt man leider nicht mehr so oft. Super Lage mitten im Nikolaiviertel. Das Frühstück war sehr gut in einem tollen Ambiente. Unser Zimmer war sehr einladend und wir haben hier eine ruhige Nacht verbracht. Herzlichen Dank, wir empfehlen Euch auf jeden Fall weiter.

Amazing restaurant, very pleasant service, especially the bald waiter

We visited early this December, weather was a little cold but the hotel is heated so that is not a problem. The rooms are really comfortable and they even have a pillow menu, also they have adapters for chargers without any charge. They do cleaning daily and they refill the room with still water and coffee. The hotel is a little bit hard to find and it is a little recent, but once you figured out where it is on a street just walkable, you will have no other issues. The personnel is really kind, Joel from the bar was so kind and gave us many recommendations for local places and sightseeings. There is a breakfast buffet but we did not taste it, but I believe it will not disappointed you. Their location is really useful because it is few blocks near Alexanderplatz and also to many touristic places. Definitely give it a chance.

Room is very clean. Two days in this hotel is worthy. My sister paid our stay in 🇩🇪. Fresh clean warm water. I wish this hotel provide breakfast.

Clean, efficient hotel. This hotel is as advertised - it doesn't have a fancy lobby or a lot of amenities. You get a clean, recently renovated room that is fair for the price. The front desk is not 24 hour. They are friendly though not completely knowledgeable. Note, if you're visiting in the summer, there's no air conditioning.

Entrance was a little hard to find at first, but the staff was very welcoming. The room was very spacious, the beds comfortable and the shower was really nice. Deck is a great touch, though the weather prevented us from using it much

Lovely boutique hotel in old Berlin. Rooms are done up to a high standard, excellent customer service and well served by local public transport. Perfect for visiting the old East Berlin. Small hotel, very quiet and in a residential block. Did not take breakfast option as I fly out super early tomorrow. Would stay again.

Room was really nice and the service from the reception was exceptional. Let down for us was that we stayed three nights and the we didn't get a room clean other than a change of bins. No new towels or bed linen, or replacement of coffees/teas. Secondly, it was peak summertime but there was no air con in the room. Only a rotating fan.

We absolutely do not recommend this hotel because of the poor service. I accidentally canceled the booking via booking.com. I found out about this quite quickly (within 24 hours) and called the hotel to reverse the cancellation. We had already paid the full amount in advance. But as it turned out, the hotel manager had no leniency whatsoever. We had to book the room again (it now cost almost double) and we lost the amount we had already transferred. As a result, we had to pay almost €1000 for a room for 2 nights instead of €420. Booking.com also tried to reverse the cancellation, as mistakes can be made, but Booking also encountered the very strict and unfriendly policy of this hotel. As compensation we got breakfast for free... Well the breakfast was really not worth €600. In short, don't expect anything from this hotel and look further.
