Super depressing hotel. Rooms very old. Room carpet is black from dirt. No room amenities. Small shampoo bottles never replaced.. Room service not even 1 star hotel. Room cleaners open the door and walk in without knocking even if you are sleeping. Lots of hair on my bed which was disgusting and no answer from reception or house keeping after tons of calls.. had a shirt in my bag and after cleaning the room my shirt was out of the bag and on the floor for some reason.. I have no clue how this thing is star rated let alone 5 starts. Way cheaper 3 4 star hotels with better service and better location. Never again. Not this sheraton not any sheraton.

Stayed at this hotel for a conference. Modern, in a decent location, but a little faceless. Conference facilities were good and my bedroom was quiet, clean, and had a comfortable bed. Most of the staff were friendly and efficient. So why the 2-star review? On my second morning I slipped while getting out of the bathtub and hit my head on the bathroom floor. I’d just taken a shower and the base of the bathtub was slippery, with no rubber mat provided. When I had recovered I reported my accident to a staff member at Reception, showing him my facial injuries. He showed no concern whatsoever but immediately offered to provide a rubber shower mat for my room. Although this helped next morning, why aren’t these provided as standard? Later on I thought it strange that no one noted details of my accident, so I asked the Concierge if it should be reported. He was very nice and clearly concerned by my injuries, but then the staff member I had initially spoken with returned and abruptly dismissed my question. If this hotel does not log guests’ accidents then how can it identify trends and put in place measures to prevent a reoccurrence? Was the staff member’s approach consistent with corporate policy? I have written to Marriott requesting an explanation and await a response. If you’re staying here I recommend asking for a rubber shower mat on check-in!

hmm... the rooms are dated but clean. The gym? 1 star, weight missing; Sauna? Does not exist! Swimming Pool? Have you seen one?

I have to say the housekeeping team here are not doing a very good job! First of all they check me in with a shower that doesn’t work. So I have to packed everything again after I already unpacked everything and move to other room. There were nothing offer but apologized, so I asked what is the compensation due to the unusable shower. The front desk agent gave me a free drink voucher to cover the issue. They also missed to clean my room the second day I also have to call everyday just in case they missed to clean it again. Then the second day, the room were clean but the housekeeper forgot to take out the garbage that had been there for two days. Not only that. The housekeeper always missed either sugar or cream or coffee everyday and I have to call for more which is their job to put the right amount in each room. Then today I back to my room and found out that the fruits I got from the market were gone, so I have to call again and asked what happen? The housekeeper took them but not sure if I still want them so kept them at the back. Tho the front office agent were nice and gave me another plate for fruits and another free drink voucher, but I believe it is a basic knowledge not to touch guest’s items… I stay here for 6 nights. I have to call every single day with issue which it should not be happen if the housekeeping doing their job correctly. A correct number of coffee ceramic and sugar is really a BASIC part on the list to check for cleaning room isn’t it! Just read another review about this hotel is going to close in Spring 2024. That explain why there back office staffs are not really doing what they should be doing.

Looks pretty nice, from the outside, but there were a lot of problems: 1. Air conditioning did not work - their maintenance person was not in. 2. Breakfast was €25 each - it was very limited and staff were run off their feet. They will probably blame the staff I'm sure, but they just didn't employ enough. 3. They wanted to charge us €9 to have one plate and a knife and fork in our room - even if we went down and got it ourselves. 4. The elevators worked intermittently - it took us nearly 20 mins to get down to the ground floor at one point. 5. The front of the hotel is chaos at times. Our car was blocked in by 3 vehicles, parked without drivers for 40 mins when we arrived - the time from arrival, to checking in, to parking, to finally getting into our room was over an hour. 6. Shower head broken.

Very accommodating and friendly staff, allowed early check in and had snacks ready when checking out at 5am. Room was clean and lounge and breakfast were nice touches to the quick one night stay

I‘m not a guest in hotel, but wanna say that the food in restaurant is very good and tasty! Covid App, masks-perfect. And stuff is very qualified. I wanna say many thanks to lady-waitress-she have told me so much interesting facts about German wine, about quality, about grapes and food. I’m very surprised and wanna be back now in Berlin one more time to try all of wines, food and to watch football!

This hotel should be rated at 3 stars if it wasn’t because of the mysterious missing items. Good things first: Hot water comes very fast. The front desk is very friendly and accommodating, provide kettle upon request, but the phone was broken and wasn’t replaced Bad things: - Housekeeping did not replace water, toilet paper or coffee everyday. Will have to ask for it, but the phone wasn’t working so didn’t bother - most importantly, my chocolates that I left on the table were stolen!!! One piece everyday. I don’t know who and don’t want to make any assumptions, but I left some chocolates on the table and one piece went missing everyday. It’s not a big deal and I noticed it just because they were a gift since I don’t eat chocolate, but who knows what else can be stolen from the room. This is a big NONO for hotels.

Excellent hotel in Berlin!!!! Rooms have everything you need and they are wide and so luminous. The bar, in the hall ground floor, is excellent and well equipped to have a beer and chatting with friends.

Room was old and tired. Original glass door on bedroom had been shattered before we arrived but when staff was asked they denied it had ever been there in spite of the hardware in the ceiling still being there and the wall space being obviously empty. So no door at all on one bedroom. Sound system in rooms spontaneously erupted in static occasionally and air conditioning was non existent. No ice machines. Required room service to bring it. Cost was ridiculous given the age and state of the room. Site advertises pool but it is closed and has been for 2 years. I will give the breakfast a decent review though. It was very good. Should be knocked down.

The room is dated, breakfast omelette is great , drinks are also great, The Staff is friendly but service can be better. Not sure five star hotel should complain to guest about bread crumbles on table during breakfast ? Club lounge is nothing special and services to platinum member is satisfactory at best..

We stayed here in winter and it was ideal. It's feels far away from crowds as it's really quiet and was an ideal base for exploring as we could escape the city for the evening and relax in our room. The staff are polite and are helpful but also respectful of your space. After walking around a freezing cold city, it was lovely to walk into a warm firelit reception. Then we would go up to the room and have a nice bath. At breakfast, the food was the best buffet breakfast we have had; the music they played was just the right volume, so you can hear it's there but also relax and/or have a conversation. Highly recommended as the value for money was spot on.

I had to make my own bed!! Yes, literally. We asked for a twin room, we got a double. The bed was two singles which easily separated, but when I asked for housekeeping to separate them into twins, I was told that isn't possible, only a 'technician' can do that, and housekeeping will not remake the beds. In the end they brought me sheets and I remade my own beds!

I would rate this a 3/5 being generous already. I’m not used to this kind of service in a 5 star hotel. Rooms were not properly clean when I arrived, house keeping team didn’t apear to clean the room, reception and room service don’t answer the phone. I needed to call from my phone to the hotel so I could speak to anyone, and after all, they didn’t provide me room service at 9:30 pm (it should be possible until 11pm). Too bad. Wouldn’t recommend and I will never choose Sheraton again in any part of the world.

The hotel itself is dated and the rooms lack charm. Staff at front desk were lovely and patient with very rude other guests. The location is amazing, with a short walk to Tiergerten and Schöneberg. Hotel restaurant was unappetizing - skip it in favor of some amazing restaurants nearby.

Two stars for supposed to be s 5-star hotel. The reception staff didn't really knew what they were doing. Charge s deposit at arrival. Breakfast area was very large and busy. Room was very big but not to date. Back to the 80s. Badly cleaned. Stayed for one year ago.

We never could dial a room service. They said either it wad too early or too busy- noone answered the call. Didn't see body lotion (small detail but...). But thr most important is that half of staff speaks russian and if they see that a guest is 90% chance from some Eastern Europe they would try speaking russian instead of English. And thry are surprised when you say: I don't speak russian. Please note that even if you hear that my friend is speaking russian to me, if I speak English to you, pls answer me in English.

They kept my 250€ room deposit. The responsible person working at the hotel claims they did indeed release the funds back into my card/account, however, my bank agent said otherwise, and indeed I never got anything back. Sadly, despite the screenshots and all of the proof nothing to fix this issue was ever done 👍🏼. For those who wish to book a room at this specific hotel beware to leave your room deposit in cash and make sure you agree with a manager before hand to also get it back in cash. Lesson learned

Great location, rooms are large. We asked for a King, received the typical (2) twins. The restaurant in the lobby is abysmal. Staff there acts like they are doing you a favor by serving you food. The food quality isn’t much better, just get Uber eats if you need to eat at hotel. I am a Bonvoy gold elite and I have had better service at a Fairfield inn to be honest.

Don’t get a room on any floor with number 26, you will here the vibrations from the lift. Also be wary that the cleaning staff will come and knock on your door at 09:00 even though you are checking out that day. I wouldn’t recommend really unless the price was really good.

One of the Best hotel to stay in Berlin. Had stayed in many 4 and 5 stars hotels in Berlin and will rank this much in top 3. Embassies are very close along with other neighbourhoods of Berlin.

room and overall ambience feels dated. room was clean thou. wifi is ok. the have one e-car charger out in from of the lobby. can be way more in 2023. even simple power sockets would suffice for an overnight stay. nevertheless, I could charge my car and was good to go the next day. breakfast buffet was good. I don not understand service culture in Germany. next to my table in the morning the staff is discussing the work performance of one of their coworkers. pretty bad.

Probably the worst Marriott experience I had. Room was clean but old and they didn't refill like shampoo and conditioner every day. You need to walk 20 mins to the nearest U bahn station or take uber. Not recommended this hotel!!!

Dear Hotel Management, I would like to formally complaint about my missing deposit from your hotel. I stayed in your hotel between September 23-27 and was asked for a safety deposit of 100 EUR upon my arrival. The staff at the reception said that this is for the hotel, so in case I purchase something in your premisses you could deduct it from my deposit. This is also something that was promised to be given back after check out in case I have not consumed anything. I did not purchase anything in your hotel and I still did not receive the money back, even after contacting you directly a few days after my departure. I think this is completely unacceptable and I would like to hear your thoughts about my complaint and the steps that you are willing to take to prevent such incidents in the future. Yours sincerely, Tina Hemera

OK hotel in a central location. Interior in the room seems worn out here and there and needs some brushing up. Furniture, carpet, paint job and bathroom show that they were heavily used over the years. Lobby is very dark and 80s style. I think, you can get a lot more bang for the bucks in one of the many boutique hotels or even corporation hotels that were set up/opened more recently than this one here.

I really need to share my experience from this hotel. I stayed solo for 4 nights and from the very first moment I checked in till the time I departed I have to say that all the employees were above and beyond! Jiannis the front desk trainee who checked me in was fantastic, super helpful, and always smiling during the interaction. He literally made my day after a difficult day of travel. I am sure he will become a great professional and he's a fantastic asset to your hotel! Also, what can I say about the gentlemen from the bar. Always with a great smile, attentive and with a great sense of humor! I love when the service industry people are having fun and this is passing to the guests. Even though I did not have my room served (I didn't want to and I had the dnd sign on my door) I asked for some fresh towels from a lady on the 6th floor and she gave me the new ones with a great smile asking me also if I wanted to have also a full service. Also, not to skip the kind lady from the Club Lounge who was superb! Literally, the best lounge service I've ever experienced, and last but not least the fantastic cook lady on the breakfast's live cooking who made the best omelet I've had in a long time! Now, about the hotel, Wi-Fi super fast with no problem signing in. The room was SUPER clean and very big. Very convenient also that there was the empty mini fridge, where I placed my own products inside. The room temperature was perfect since outside was -2 degrees. There was a huge variety of TV channels also. Summing up, apparently, this is a classic hotel, but I could say for sure that my stay was just stunning! (I am used to staying in more lifestyle brands). I had everything I needed, the people in this property are the best and the location is very convenient. I definitely feel as a Marriott Bonvoy member I got recognition and with the first chance, I would come back with no second thoughts! Thank you for the great service 😊

  • 3/5 Scott E. 1 year ago on Google
The room was fine and the location was good, but two of the 3 days I was there I didn’t get room cleaning because it was late in the day when cleaning came. The lounge is open til 11PM but when I went down at 1030pm they said the kitchen was closed. These are basic things that should not be a problem at a hotel like this. It’s why you pay the price.

Everything is a little bit old school and it is not like it was to be. There Re better 5 Star Hotels in Berlin. We had an Event with full Service and I can say the buffets were great and with a lit of variety for lunch and dinner. However who expected the same for breakfast saw an disappointment with just an average breakfast buffet.

Arrogant receptionist. We arrived around 2pm and politely asked the guy at the reception if we can check in, his answer was if you are lucky you can check in after 3pm. When I said what does it mean if you are lucky, he continue to say he has a lot of work so If we are lucky we can check in after 3pm (the audacity) My friend was asking if we can leave bags instead of answering he turned his head to other people and invited them to reception. Someone should teach this guy manners, people like that should not work in customer service, moreover we were 3 people in the room. Reservation was made 2 weeks in advance with note that we need extra bed. I had to call reception 2 times to remind them to bring extra bed and 3 rd set of towels. They brought it after 4 hours after we checked in. The bathroom was very dirty!!! If you value the high quality service definitely would not recommend this hotel although you want to experience luck of manners and bad quality customer service.

  • 1/5 Afshin M. 2 years ago on Google
Very bad experience from our first day. The room was not clean, they offer us another similar room which has the same level of standard with even worse view. The people from reception discussed with us in respect to our very standard expectation of a 5 stars hotel.

  • 2/5 Alexander M. 1 year ago on Google
An extremely dated and tired hotel with 2 massive issues: air conditioning is not working throughout the property (or are they just cutting costs? In some rooms AC is totally off, in others it does technically work but still can't get the temperature lower than 25-27C/79F in summer). The staff fails to recognize Bonvoy Elite benefits/guarantees. Hotel manager prefers to hide and send out "hope your stay is OK" messages through assistant rather than resolve issues. Overall a very unpleasant experience.
