Seriously one of the best meals that I have had in Berlin. The food was prepared fresh to order and the man hosting us was beyond friendly and polite. I have brought friends here on multiple occasions and it's always been top notch. They have plenty of Vegetarian and Vegan options as well. I myself have been learning to cook Ethiopian food at home so they were super helpful answering my questions about the seasonings and ingredients. They even have a small store as well where you buy quite uncommon cooking ingredients for Ethiopian food such as : Teff Flour and Berbere.

This is the most authentic Ethiopian food in the city. The flavors are clean and not oil laden, while the spices are clearly identifiable. The owners are friendly and attentive, also offering bags of spices and flour for sale. Do make sure to make reservations, as the place is small and only seats about a dozen people max. It seems they make the food for the night on order depending on the number of patrons, so calling ahead on a weekday is a must.

Traditional Ethiopian food. The food was very delicious and the waitress was welcoming us friendly. They have 2 vegan options on the menu and we chose both of them and shared them. They serve the wat (stew) with injera, a traditional sourdough bread which looks like a sponge. They have Ethopian Walia beers but they aren’t listed on the menu. Looking forward to go here again!

-Before second lockdown review- We came early to ensure a spot. Polite and shy owner gave us good recommendations. My German was even worst back then and she couldn’t speak english so I had to get help from Google. This was my first Ethiopian experience and eating with hands during COVID was challenging but it was very interesting for me.

The food was very tasty, there was no lack of additional spices, it was just right, and the price was also okay. Service was very great, he always asked if everything was OK and his good mood was contagious. The ambience is relatively small but culturally furnished, you can see everything that concerns Ethiopia. I'll be back 🥰

Called, asked if they were open and serving dinner and was turned away when I arrived with no option to wait for a table. Extremely rude, disrespectful and disappointing.

Beautifully spiced great food: both the meat and vegetarian options are absolutely delicious and very well spiced, service is super nice and friendly, the prices are fair and the place generally has a really comfy and authentic atmosphere, would 100% recommend :)!

So delicious - whether vegan or with meat. I love this variety on the plate - so colorful and so good. With its Ethiopian decor, the restaurant almost seems like a small local museum - it's just fun to explore what's hanging on the walls and curious about the country itself. And when you walk in the door, you're immediately greeted with a smile! 💚💛❤️

We wanted to try Ethiopian food for the first time and since this restaurant was so highly rated we decided to try it out. I am so glad that we did! The restaurant itself is pretty small on the inside but also has outdoor seating. You can also buy ethiopian spices here which is nice if you feel inspired. The owner was really warm and welcoming which is unusual for good service in Germany. We shared the number 9: little Ethiopia which is a mix of injera and spiced lentils/cabbage/salad/cheese and also marinated beef in the middle (key wot). Everything on the plate was amazingly spiced, a perfect balance of savoury and spicy- evenly cooked and everything went well together. The beef was succulent and soft and the sauce was accompanied by a warm heat. We didn't have to wait long at all and the prices were cheap considering how much time and energy goes into preparing the food. We will definitely come back!

I walked in and was told no food was being served here, so all of the photos and reviews are inaccurate! NOT a restaurant, just a store!

For several years now, we have been eating Ethiopian food whenever possible in a city. At the aptly named Little Ethiopia, we enjoyed without a doubt the best Ethiopian food we have ever had in Europe. In addition, the owner was very charming and accommodating. He always kept an eye on you while you were eating and could read your wishes on your face without being intrusive. He was also noticeably happy that we enjoyed it so much. I can recommend Little Ethiopia to anyone who is in Berlin and we will definitely come back!

👍 The queue can get really long in a very short amount of time. We were lucky and waited for about 5 minutes before placing our order. The place was fully packed both inside and outside after we picked up our food. We got the original döner but I was unsure about the sauce they used. The sandwich was...

👍👍 Best kebab ever that I had! I was not and am still not a fan of kebab but I absolutely love Rüyam kebab. They have good service.
