Seit Jahrzehnten eine sehr beliebte Gastronomie! - Toller Service, gutes Essen zu fairen Preisen. Man fühlt sich im Hoppegarten einfach wohl.

Eine Freundin aus Steglitz hatte mich hierher entführt und ich muss sagen, ein Besuch lohnt sich jedenfalls. Die Speisekarte lässt aufjedenfall keine Wünsche offen. Egal, was die Gerichte, die Getränke ob kalt oder heiß, den großen oder kleinen Hunger angeht, herzhaft oder doch lieber süß, - hier kommt wirklich niemand zu kurz und es ist für jeden (Apettit) etwas dabei. Das ganze in sehr uriger, gemütlicher Gasstättenatmosphäre. Alles sehr verwinkelt und sogar mit angrenzendem Wintergarten. Die angebotenen Gerichte und dafür veranschlagten Preise sind mehr als nur fair, für mein subjektives Empfinden sogar UNTER dem Durchschnitt. Ich würde das Lokal definitiv nochmals besuchen.

If you go for the ”small” breakfast at Hoppegarten you’ll be satisfied until next Christmas…. Friendly staff, very, very good breakfast!! I was impressed! All you need when you just want to sit down and relax - as I did after a visit to Botanischer Garten nearby. I wouldn’t mind sitting out an evening by myself or with friends here, going home in a german beer-haze…..🙂 Gastfreundlich!

So schöne klare Hinweise, dass man mit allen Karten (außer AmEx) zahlen kann, habe ich selten gelesen. Auch der Support mit Lesebrillen zeigt eine überdurchschnittliche Kundenorientierung. Hausmannskost ist lecker und die Biere vom Fass zahlreich. Eine Reservierung ist durchaus empfehlenswert. Auch in der Woche.

Just works well. Not crowed. Fast and friendly Service. Super breakfast. Prices mid-range. Different rooms for different moods (maybe not by purpose)

On a busy street corner. We sat outside and had beers while watching the people and traffic. Can't comment on the food, but the location was a nice place to relax.

Serves breakfast till 13.00. Has a good selection of breakfasts and drinks. We saw men dining with a big dog which bothered absolutely no one. I don't think every place would be so hospitable in regards to pets!

Wir waren heute im Hoppegarten. Wir hatten einen Tisch für 9 Personen. Bestellt. Überwiegend ältere Personen. Der Tisch war im Wintergarten auf Bänke ohne lehne . Auf Nachfrage in einen anderen Raum auszuweichen war ein kleines Problem. Aber die nette Bedienung hat uns dann doch in einen anderen Raum untergebracht. Das Essen ist nach wie vor sehr gut.

Immer wieder Sonntags… Wer einen perfekten Start in den Tag möchte, sollte unbedingt einmal im Restaurant Hoppegarten vorbeischauen. Die Qualität des Essens ist seit Jahren gleichbleibend sehr gut, der Service ist zuvorkommend und die Atmosphäre lädt zum verweilen ein. Wir bestellten frisch gepressten OSaft, das Skandinavische- sowie das Käsefrühstück und wurden nie enttäuscht.

Waren gestern zu zehnt da. War wirklich ein schöner Abend im Hoppegarten. Das Lokal hat ein schönes Ambiente. Die Kellnerin war super bemüht, hat aber ein paar Kleinigkeiten übersehen. Gerne wieder.

I took my family here on several occasions and I will definitely come here again. They serve great food although not too many vegetarian options, have amazing beer and even better cocktails. My personal favorite is the 'Hoppegarten Cocktail', where the barkeeper can mix a drink as he pleases. Tried a few and they were all great, especially because I would not have ordered them by myself, unknowing how good they were. The staff is very open, reacts fast on hand-signs if you want to order and were super dog-friendly which is a huge plus to me. The only thing I will consider is to book an outside table in summer, as they do not have an AC indoors. Thanks again for the great time!

I have been there for the first time and I have mixed experience. Good things: good variety in menu, comfortable and cosy interior and pleasant visitors. Bad things: service was not good at all as we waited for 20 minutes for menu then another 40 minutes for our breakfast. On the top of this, the waitress brought a plate for us ordered by a gentleman from a table next to ours. Then she took it from us and gave it to the him. So, my friend had to wait another 20 minutes to get his "right" order. As excuse, they gave him a small pancake + orange juice. Sorry, but Hoppegarten guys failed completely...they could make a breakfast for him free. Another thing, the food taste was 3 out of 5. The worst service I have ever experienced. There is a significant room for improvement. This place can be much better.

The food here like every other place in Germany came in huge servings, at a really cheap low price. I ordered the pork knuckle here and it was slow cooked for 45 mins before serving. And I was surprised that it wasn't fried but the boiled type. Despite the weird looking boiled knuckle that I wasn't used to, it was still tender, succulent and flavourful. One of the cosy and better restaurants in Berlin near hotel steglitz international. I only managed to finish half the serving for 12 euros. This bar has the mood of a berliner bar, so a must try ◡̈

Very tasty, mid-priced, quite big portions. Highly recommended. Especially Lambleber nach Berliner Art. If you like liver. Also a lot of breakfast and lunch dishes, till 3pm.

Terrorific service, the beer comes with a bee inside and they reuse to change it. Not good meal and xenofobic personal. They only accept credit card if you are a German if not they avoid to accept you card and they said that they don't speak english. Bad place bad food bad service, avoid this place if you are a tourist

If you are in the Steglitz area and looking for a place to have breakfast, this is the spot. Good prices, rich dishes and a good variety to chose from. What I like most however is the loggia with big windows that is full of light in any season, which is a rarity for Berlin.

The Hoppegarten is convenient.  It is located  just around the corner from Wulfstrasse where we stay in Berlin & where our son's office is. He relies on this restaurant for most of his weekly lunch meals, especially when a daily special meets his fancy.    Eaten here a number of times breakfast & noon specials.   I've gone to the Hoppegarten  to combine my meal with use of their  WiFi  to confirm my airline flights or catch up on mail or social media.  My last meal  at the Hoppengarten was  Schnitzel with fries  which is my favorite  daily special.     It was large, tasty, and delicious.   Very filling  at a  reasonable price under 7 Euros.  Hoppegarten has a dining area off to the side of the bar that is well lit from natural sunlight coming thru the windows.   The waitress who served our table of four was very friendly and professional.  No question when we return to Berlin for a visit, Hoppengarten will be one of our choices.

Good food with good portions, and good value for money. Had beers and Rahmschnitzel and Matjes - 20 Euro per person - would recommend anytime
