My boyfriend and I stayed here for 6 nights and it was absolutely wonderful. The building is charming and the room we had was a very generous size. The honesty bar was a very lovely feature (the orange juice they provide is particularly good). Our hosts were fantastic and welcoming. It's located perfectly. Charlottenburg is lovely and the hotel isn't not from two different S-bahn stations and a short walk (or Lime ride) away from some lovely places to eat. Basically this place is so wonderful I would 11/10 recommend to anyone that wants a break in Berlin but doesn't necessarily want to stay directly in the centre of the city

Very nice hotel close to the city center. The building is from early 1900 and the atmosphere is fantastic. Squeaky floors. Big rooms with about 4 meters ceiling height. Big windows facing the street (not much traffic sounds). Staff was very accommodating and fun. Although breakfast staff could be more welcoming. Hotel has a conscience bar with a great selection of drinks. The breakfast was good with a decent variety. Sadly no hot food options. Would have been nice with an omelette. This is a very nice stay for a weekend trip!

Nice old building, hotel is up a few floors, accessed by a cool old fashioned lift. The room itself was spacious however the bathroom was a bit tight. Have an honesty bar to pick up a beer or a cold drink at any time which is a nice touch.

This was a great stay! Our hotel room was large and fit my family of four perfectly. The best thing about this hotel is the closeness to public transit! This location is also walkable distance to the zoo. The hotel has a great breakfast. You’re able to mingle and meet other guests of the hotel in a relaxed atmosphere. Also check out the roof top patio! Enjoy a nice glass of wine on the roof! Beautiful hotel I plan to stay again!

A great place to stay: lots of atmosphere, great breakfast buffet, great location and great rates. Honestly, if there was one downside, it’s that there are no in-room safes (or at least not in the room I was in) - something usually found in most European hotel rooms.

Beautiful hotel, but a tip to the owner: don’t get involved in a hotel business if you hate tourists. Also, if you have to fool people that coffee is free and in the end say ”you have to pay cause I have to pay my rent!” … would it be a time to change profession?

Our company rented an event space for 3 days workshop and had a very good and productive time. The property has a fantastic old-time charm. The staff was very hospitable and they went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. Thank you so much. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting here.

Nice familiar small alternative City Hotel. Lovely Individual Rooms, very old, impressing elevator - better to chose the stairs, friendly staff and chief, small rooftoop, Good breakfast

Stayed here while in Berlin on Business. Can highly recommend this hotel and will be happy to stay at Art Nouveau again when I return to Berlin. Appartment-style rooms, delicious breakfast buffet, amazing espresso, kind & attentive staff make this place feel like home away from home.

Great little hotel with charming host (Ingo). Reasonably priced and well located. The room is big, the bathroom is very clean and the WiFi is fine. Breakfast was good for the price. The whole hotel is a pleasure to see. On the not-so-good side, perhaps too much dust in shared facilities (where you manipulate stuff but you don't usually look like the fridge's cold water and ice dispenser) and noisy mornings (people speaking over the phone!!). Probably best to avoid rooms next to the reception. We would stay again at this hotel for sure.

Beautiful hotel, clean, well maintained, with a classic art nouveau atmosphere. The owner is a very friendly and helpful man with a good sense of humor. The beds were extremely comfortable and the breakfast (12 euros per day) was unlike anything I've had before. Located in a quiet het centrally located upscale neighbourhood, this hotel is the perfect place from which to explore Berlin. The rooms are spacious and refined, well decorated and clean. Although not cheap, it is well worth every penny, and would still be even if the price were doubled. In short, this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. In nearby restaurants, cafés and jazz clubs, one can enjoy quality food, drink and music at reasonable prices, in the company of Berlin residents. In short, this hotel is highly recommended in all respects.

Fantastic hotel. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. The breakfast is extensive and delicious and served in a light breakfast room. The owners are also very welcoming and speak excellent English.

This is a hidden gem of a hotel in Berlin. From the minute we were greeted by the Hotel's ebullient proprietor Ingo, it was clear this was a special boutique hotel in the city's West End. A vintage elevator carries you to the top floor of the building which houses large airy rooms filled with art and antiques on the 4th and 5th floor. Breakfast is feast of fine cheeses, breads, cereals and many coffees to choose from. Ingo's advice on neighbourhood walks, shops and restaurants took us to many delightful corners away from tourist crowds. We can't wait to return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely little Hotel and felt right at home. The staff is most welcoming, the rooms are all nicely decorated and unique and the breakfast is amazing with high quality BIO ingredients. Contrary to other reviews, fried or scrambles eggs for breakfasts are available, you just need to ask for it. The hotel is situated in a trendy part of Berlin with lots of restaurant's around. Also don't miss the rooftop terrace on sunny days. The area is well connected to public transport via U and S-Bahn, so you can quickly get to other parts of Berlin as well. Overall, I highly recommend trying it for yourself, we are definitely coming back.

During my hotel experience, I was impressed by the exceptional service and luxurious amenities. The staff greeted me warmly, ensuring a comfortable stay. The room was immaculate and well-appointed, offering a stunning view. The hotel's facilities, including the spa and fitness center, added to the overall indulgence. It was a memorable and delightful stay.

I really enjoyerd my stay here. Not only is it convenient for so many things the staff are more than helpful and the breakfasts very pleasant. I cannot give it 5* although I would like to, but it is a boutique hotel with a great deal of character. Do give it a go. I think it's very good for the proces charged. MBJ Dec 2013
