I really don't get the hype around it. The food was good enough to be salable but nothing exceptional, the price quality ratio definitely unbalanced. Overall, the experience in this place feels very touristy, and we weren't expecting that based on the review. The waitress also had the audacity to ask for a tip, like Berlin was the United States or we were from there and didn't know any better. 1 small cappuccino, 1 waffle, 1 orange juice, 1 plate of eggs came at 26.5€. Disappointed, wouldn't visit again.

We waited for about an hour just for a few drinks and scrambled eggs and the food arrived cold. The staff was a bit rude and very slow. The cinnamon chocolate was the only thing worth trying.

Sunny place during breakfast hours with a good amount of table outside for 2 or 4 persons. A good diversity of savory (e.g toast with bacon, eggs and avocado) and sweet (e.g. pancakes or waffles). Breakfast is between 11€ and 16€ per dish, so not properly cheap and the food, although tasty, is not unique in Berlin. Staff is efficient. You can pay with cards and if you are afraid of bees I would strongly recommend sitting inside.

Really nice place close to the train station for a lazy breakfast before sightseeing. Pancakes with rhubarb were great and so was were the eggs. The only downside is the smoking people with the odor even creeping inside. But the service is great, I think we will be back!

The most delicious 😋 breakfast in Berlin I’ve ever had. Very tasty food with a lot of varieties and a good coffee for a great mood. Very nice location. friendly staff. I didn’t make a reservation but the manager found me a table.

Wir haben hier knapp 2,5 Stunden gemütlich zu zweit gefrühstückt (mit Reservierung). Das Personal war freundlich und aufmerksam, und die Atmosphäre war sehr gemütlich. Gut geschmeckt hat auch alles.

Pancakes, pancakes, pancakes so good! As the first sentence suggests I loved the pancakes some of the best pancakes I've had, soft fluffy and plenty of topping. The hot chocolate here is also very good, however the coffee was slightly mediocre and served in a tea cup one and only issue. Service was great with very nice staff and a good atmosphere.

I foolishly made my reservation for the wrong date but the staff were very nice and seated us after a short wait. They were packed so I was grateful for the accommodation. The food was delicious and they had gluten free bread AND crepes! The delight! 😍

I took my friends here for brunch based on recommendation but it was ok. The pancakes were a bit dry but the berries smoothie was the best.

Café im Stil der 20iger Jahre. Schöne Karte und reichlich Auswahl. Pancakes sind fantastisch. Frühstück Rumba vegetarisch mit Aufstrich Avocado , Rote Beete und Humus. Sehr lecker. Mein Favorit ist der goldene Latte mit Zimt und Ingwer

I choose to eat here breakfast after receiving a recommendation from a tour guide. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance because the place is very popular. I waited for a table about 10 minutes but bigger parties can wait longer or you won't be able to get a table. The food was very good, I had the cheese breakfast, with assortment of cheese and a variety of vegetables spreads with bread, rolls, butter and jam. I added a fried egg and freshly squeezed orange juice. The service was very very slow, I waited for about 35-50 minutes for my breakfast but since I wasn't in a rush I just enjoyed the atmosphere outside while reading a book but if you are in a rush this is not the place for you. The price was around 26-27 Euro so more on the expensive side but the breakfast was big and I skipped lunch that day.

This place is a true gem for getting a good breakfast in the heart of Berlin. We got seated quickly, even without reservation. The coffee is as you would expect and it gets served in pretty cups, which, together with the design of the place, makes it feel like you are having breakfast with your old folks. The pancakes got served fast and tasted delicious. The balance between the diffefent toppings was perfect and the amount of maple syrup was just right to not make the pancakes all soggy. All in all we had a great breakfast for a good price and in a short amount of time. Definitely a recommendation! Do not forget to make a reservation to make sure there is a spot for you.

This has to be one of the best breakfast and brunch places in the city. I love that they have outside seating with a wonderful river view. Everything I tried was amazing, so fresh and tasty. The only downside is that the place is very popular so it’s better to make a reservation to avoid long lines.

Wer Hunger hat kommt also früher.

This place was absolutely amazing! It makes sense why there are reservations. The main lady has phenomenal customer service and I would say few could be better.

We enjoyed a nice decent breakfast with eggs and bacon/avocado on bread and A Belgian waffle which was good but a bit dry. Excellent iced latte. Friendly service. A bit pricey though.

Very poor service and quality considering the reviews, the staff were rather dull and not terribly helpful. When the food eventually arrived it was mediocre to say the least. Poached eggs (solid all the way through) with tasteless avacado and untoasted sourdough which was made worse by the fact they were soggy from the poached egg residual water. For the quality and service, the prices do not match up in my opinion. Finally, to add insult to injury the staff made an issue about our group paying individually for our meals despite stating we'd leave tips on top of service charge. Very odd behaviour.

Arrived 8:45am on a Thursday, and there was no wait. I was told I would be at a large table, seated with others. As a solo traveler, I didn’t mind, but it would be undesirable if I was with someone else. Also, I couldn’t use my laptop at the table, which I was hoping I could. The ambiance was warm and welcoming. Waitress was nice and food was served swiftly. However, I was not impressed by the avocado toast. As a Californian, I eat a lot of avocado toast though. Bread was fresh and dish had a farm-to-table feel. I wish it had the option to be served with fruit since it was breakfast. Overall, I could have ordered the wrong dish. I was surprised that I was underwhelmed given the great reviews. That being said, if I lived in Berlin, I would probably give Zimt & Zucker one more shot. Great cappuccino.

Highly coveted breakfast spot for good reason. Really cool, down home type place that has great coffee and solid breakfast options. I got a savory crepe and there was a bit too much spinach/greens, in my opinion, but there were a lot of other dishes that looked amazing. Would definitely give this another go. Just make sure to get a reservation if possible or else you'll be waiting for awhile during peak breakfast/brunch hours.

Good place. Even notice as someone who is living in Berlin, the impact of the amount of tourists here. Summer 2023. And, service is really sweet, got a table at the water and coffee was decent. Did not tried the food but the waffles looks good from the neighbours table. 😊

Lovely atmosphere, delicious food. You should definitely try the mimosa! The service was very rude and unpleasant.

Food was really delicious so we went the next day as well, but diffrent staff members told us they don’t take walk in's but the day before they did and were even people waiting outside in line so it felt wired that they changed their policy from a day to another. It might have but honestly it gave us the impression they just couldn't be bothered even we offered to wait as long it was needed. Maybe just book in advance to avoid to go there for nothing.

Delicious food, friendly service and a nice atmosphere. We arrived around 10:30 on labour day and it was pretty busy (10-15min queue) so it's probably better to reserve a table on nice sunny holidays. Would give it 5 stars if they wouldn't have run out of avocado cream before 11 am.

Zimt und Zucker has a nice familiar atmosphere. The food tasted fresh and good, but nothing about it particularly stood out to me. The coffee however is really enjoyable. I would suggest making a reservation if you plan to go.

I love the feeling of being in someones living room. The staff is friendly. Service was fast and we enjoyed the food. A little diamond in Berlin.

Consistently delicious food and delightful presentation. Affordable pricing, wonderful ambiance, timely service. Always fast to find you a seat even if the place is full. Able to easily accommodate a peanut and shellfish allergy. I recommend the danish. Note: Bring cash. All three times I've been there they've been having a"cash only" day.

A real find here in Berlin. Great location with seating inside and outside by the river. Can only book inside so you can't reserve the outside tables so if it's sunny and you want a view then get there 30 mins before you want to sit down and queue. It's almost always busy in the mornings so best to get there as early as you can if you want a breakfast. Highly recommend this one. Food and drinks are varied and good quality and the prices didn't make you feel you have been ripped off when you get the bill!

Amazing breakfast! So simple but somehow you can’t stop complimenting the food. It’s the place I wanna come back. Tomorrow, after tomorrow, again and again 🤤

Meh. I came at an unfortunate time I guess as they were not serving food outside due to the wasps - only drinks. I wanted to eat so I had to wait a few minutes before being allowed inside. Made it inside and if you have a choice eat outside. The wasps were still an issue made much worse when one table that left had something sweet left on the table and it took way too long for staff care for the space. I enjoyed the meal but I guess it’s hard to mess up a crepe order with a banana and a slice of watermelon.

Very nice small coffee shop with a lot of different breakfast styles. Pancakes, crepes, toasts, waffles, and so on. Not cheap and you need to wait and get seated. Still very nice waiters and good quality with a lot of different dietary options. We enjoyed it a lot.
