The €669/€201, 7 minutes with the specialist, booked the same day, was great. The 44 minutes before, with tests totally unrelated to my problem (they hadn't asked my problem yet), was as expensive as it was unnecessary. I'd had the identocal tests elsewhere a few weeks prior. 23 minutes after the end of my appointment...yep 23 loooonnnng minutes they had my bill ready €669 for 7 minutes. Um, no. Another 6 minutes €201 ... more than half of which was eye tests that I had done weeks ago for nothing at the optometrist...and in the end, my diagnosis...gettin old...like I didn't know 🙃

Although the doctor I saw was very nice, the prices of the clinic are outrageous and I had to wait for over 20 minutes to pay for a 15 minutes appointment. I had to come back to run some tests and was told I didn't need an appointment but when I showed up the prescription for the test was nowhere to be found and the front desk told me to just come back in a couple of hours because the doctor couldn't be disturbed during their lunch break. I had mentioned many times that I was just in town for a few days so my timing was tight but didn't matter... no apologies, no efforts to help... very bad service for a very high price...

Most Traumatizing Medical Experience Ever! While the Meo clinic might impress with its aesthetics and cordial staff, its administrative and financial aspects are deeply flawed: Lack of Transparency: I never received a clear financial breakdown for my treatments, and attempts to seek clarity were met with resistance. Billing Issues: A year post-treatment, I got bills escalated to collection agencies and court by PVS, an outsourced payment firm used by many of the clinic's doctors. The initial bills of approximately 3800 EUR more than doubled. Worse, the bills had incorrect patient details. Missing Medical Records: Despite continuous requests over two years, I've only gotten records from one out of the four doctors I saw. A recent visit revealed a mere two notes from 22 visits and a few prescription copies – no record of MRI/MRT scans, ultrasounds, cancer tests, or blood tests. Poor Communication: The clinic's staff claim that doctors operate autonomously and aren't answerable to them. The doctors, on the other hand, blame PVS, their invoice firm. PVS remains unresponsive, creating a maddening loop of non-accountability. Legal Issues: While withholding necessary medical documentation from me, the clinic keeps adding to my bills via lawyers. They know I need the documents for insurance, but continue to stonewall all communication attempts, even from my insurance provider. In summation, my experience with the Meo clinic has been nothing short of a nightmare. Despite promises of proficient service and clear English communication (given my expat status during the Covid lockdowns), I've received neither medical results nor proper documentation of treatments. Their blatant disregard and lack of support have left me feeling abused and overlooked. I warn potential patients, especially international and EU visitors to Germany, to be cautious before visiting this clinic! Expect zero documentation, no effective communication, and exorbitant bills. This clinic seems indifferent to the profound impacts such negligence might have on your life, expecting you to bear costs out-of-pocket despite insurance coverage. The only "documentation" you might get are bills from PVS that state amounts without any clear patient context. When reaching out to the clinic for help they clearly state that they aren’t responsible for any of “their doctors”… but at the same time advertise their clinic as a fully integrated medical institution that takes care of everything for you as their patent! It’s absolutely scandalous!

Thank you for everything ! I was looked after on site by an incredibly loving, competent team that went above and beyond. Both the nurses and the doctors were top!!! I have never felt better cared for and treated. The room was clean, luxurious and stocked with small gifts from the house. The bathroom was clean, bright and large. I could wish for anything in terms of food, drink and newspapers. There was even a smoking lounge. Thank you !!! Keep it up.

I visited the clinic more than once, and the other departments were fine, but when I visited Dr. Katharina Grohme, I had to wait more than an hour, and I could have waited even longer if I had not asked again. She charged me almost 300 euros for not much work (including a useless blood test that was not complete). When I wanted to know why I should wait longer than an hour, everyone started blaming each other (the receptionist and the doctor) and told me that my appointment was postponed, of course without informing me!!!! Finally I complained to the management who investigated the matter and told me it was a misunderstanding by the receptionists. this star is because the management took my complaint seriously and responded to my email.

We received wrong information from the service desk when booking the appointment. The Arabic native doctor then still wanted to hold the appointment even though he seemed little motivated as it was early evening. He lied about the price and charged 169€ for a 15 minute baby check up. Not recommendable and not where you feel like you want to bring your child.

I wish i could give the doctors a 0 but that is not possible.. read that Dr. Kiwit is a good doctor and i wanted an appointment and said that i only wanted to come to germany from norway If there is possible treatment for my sick mother, he saw my medical report and when i went there it took him a few seconds to tell me What i already knew from the Internett. He is very rude and talked soo badly with me. I have been to so many doctors in the world and i honestly think he is one of the worst ones to talk to. Told me NOT to look for treatment and that my mother would just keep getting Worse and Worse but she is now beeing treated by the best dr and is just normal and healthy. Just lost a lot of money and time to travel in a busy day to talk to him worst ting a human could ever do.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room facilities are not optimal. You get the impression that hotel rooms have been converted here. As a prostate patient, it wasn't nice that I was accommodated in a two-bed room with one toilet. The food was OK for a hospital. You could choose from three dishes and also make special requests. There was no snack in the afternoon because the period between lunch (approx. 12:00) and evening (approx. 6:00) was relatively long. The surgical team is great. The clinic was overcrowded when I visited. However, the four stars is a 4.5 rating.

The clinic is really highly recommended. The entire team, whether from reception, on the ward, in service, the operating room assistant and the anesthetist, were great. Even though I was very afraid of the procedure and the anesthesia, everyone looked after me very kindly and I felt very well looked after. The room was modernly furnished and clean. The food was very tasty and there was enough to fill you up. Many thanks to the Meoclinic team

**EDIT TO RESPOND TO COMMENT*** While I understand the reply is mainly to manage reputation for people reading this review, I spent 35 minutes trying to 'rectify' the issue in the clinic and was met with eye rolls and sighs from unhelpful management. I understand there are protocols to follow in regards to billing, it is just a shame that this time it seems those protocols weren't adhered to and extra charges were added. I believe my email address and phone number are on file so I am happy to discuss further if you wish to reach out. ------ ORIGINAL POST Quoted €80-150 for a doctors consultation and after a 12 minute consultation was given a bill for €394,88. Was eventually discounted by €80 euros as was able to show I was charged for services I didn’t receive but still was grossly overcharged and my lack of speaking German was taken advantage of (one small example was my 12 minute consultation was charged as “Mind. 20mins” which the obnoxious manager tried to tell me means “under 20 minutes” and wouldn’t change). Even when you do the right thing and ask for a price upfront you still get ripped off. Please think twice before attending this clinic as they are not upfront at all and are very deceitful. The receptionist was good and very apologetic but all other staff dealt with were rude and unhelpful. The final explanation is “I’m sorry but the professor can charge what he wants and won’t change anything”. Be careful if you don’t speak German as you will likely get overcharged too.

Came here twice. Had to wait more than one hour and thirty minutes to be attended each time on floor 5 even though I came in 10 minutes early. Some people were even sleeping there. The costs were almost 1000€ for some simple blood tests. I don’t get why people come here, they’re clearly optimising on revenue and the care quality doesn’t justify the price and waiting. Won’t be coming here again.

If I could give 10 stars to this clinic I would. I called in for an emergency appointment in the gynaecology department and they moved things around to see me within an hour. Every single person I interacted with, starting from the person on the phone at the reception, were the most kindest and caring versions of human beings. And the fact that everyone spoke good English made things so much easier. Dr Gabrielle Harder dealt with my emergency in the most reassuring and profesional way and to ensure my treatment goes well, she scheduled to see me again during her lunch time since she is fully booked. And I even got a hug from the doctor’s assistant 🥹 Thank you so so much everyone at Meoclinic.

Very bad clinic. They care only about the money. The reception is rude and not professional. The doctor recommendations were wrong and costs me a lot of money for nothing. And even worst. I tried to contact the clinic to ask for a refund but they ignored my email and calls. And ask for an external company to claim the money for a consultation that got me and my partner into risks due to a lack of professionalism and real care of their patients/clients. No ethics and no morals. It’s only about the money!!!

MEOCLINIC - I feel very well looked after here. Fast appointments in every discipline and great coordination from reception. You don't have to wait long on site and follow-up appointments are arranged on the same day. I am currently undergoing orthopedic treatment with Prof. Dr. med. Merk. A very experienced doctor who gave me good advice.

Terrible communication and physically sent my medical records to wrong person. Had to follow up 5 times for my medical records. Instructed the clinic not to send my sensitive medical records via post as I was changing address. Took 5 phone calls to get my results via email finally only to learn that they sent my medical records to an unknown person via post who can now see my records. Would not recommend this clinic to anyone.

Despite the Drs are good and the facility is nice. The communication is very hard, I called many times and sent many e mails to the dr who treated me and to the center via the contact details asking them to adjust the medical report based on the insurance request. I also called many times but the response was zero. This issue has been pending for almost 3 months. Very unprofessional and counter productive

I had surgery there just a few days ago and they were stellar. The staff had no problem speaking English with me, and the anesthesiologist was very kind and reassuring (she even made the unpleasant brain-poke COVID test a breeze). The nurses were also great, super friendly and eager to help without rushing me. They threw so much food at me I hardly knew what to do with it, and there's even a pillow menu. My room was huge, very clean, sunny and relaxing to stay in. Honestly, it felt more like chilling at a hotel than being in hospital. I also have to mention that I'm transgender and would 100% recommend this place for folks like me. They said that they get a lot of transgender patients, and it definitely showed in the way they treated me. They were respectful and I didn't have to explain my entire life story to every nurse who saw my body -- it took a load off my mind not to have to manage that stuff while recovering.

I was very happy with the dermatologist I saw. Very good English and was very friendly and supportive. Gave me his contact in case I had questions. I deducted a star due to the receptionist. Not the friendliest and tried to tell me I had my appointment time wrong, despite the fact I had an email confirming I had the correct time. No apologies for the mix up or correction. Other wise friendly clean and efficient

A quite well equiped private clinic with many specialized doctors. You can get a slot pretty fast and it doesn't overcrowded with patients. If you are in emergency case, yes you can go to this clinic, else better search for a designated practitioner elsewhere.

Unfortunately they couldn't help me with my problem. I had a gastroscopy done and in the end I didn't even need it. Because nothing was found, the doctor told me “he couldn’t help me and I should try some tablets.” I personally found the doctor rude, just because I was younger (20), he looked down on me and treated me like a little child. And now I'm still living with my problem. So whether I was there or not wouldn't have made a difference!

To be avoided! Not too competent and they overcharge! When you complain via email, they don't reply for ages and then they shift the responsibility to others. Then a 3rd party agency comes to collect the money. They also charge the controls, which doesn't happen anywhere in the world.

I would not recommend this for immigrants or international patients. The staff is very impolite and unprofessional. I told them that I do not want the bill over post mail, I preferred to pay at the reception. They still sent me bill for the test we didn't agree(I did not even receive any report for such test). The doctor responded me saying that "This is the private practice and we are expensive."

Top notch medicare. Very functional operating system. Professional and friendly staff. Excellent hygiene. The doctors here are world class. The hospital is located in a high end commercial hub in Berlin. Very close to Stadtmitte train station. I would recommend this clinic anytime, any day. I had the best medicare here.

I was operated on here but was treated at the Bundeswehr hospital for further treatment. The clinic looks more like a hotel than a hospital. The entire team was very friendly and accommodating. I also felt very well taken care of during the anesthesia. Thank you for the pleasant stay.

Sadly, I am unable to provide this clinic with a positive review. We were notified via mail when our appointment was scheduled, and we arrived on time. The receptionist told us we weren't on the list when we arrived and asked to see the email confirmation, which made me feel like a liar. When she saw the proof, she simply nodded, put us on the list, and said we had to pay €16.00 to register! Which we did, but their website makes no mention of this, and no other doctors or facilities in Germany request you to pay a registration fee. When the doctor finally saw us, he asked us to confirm per mail that we wanted to have the procedure and he will schedule a day for clinical test. Our confirmation mail was never replied, now more than 4 weeks, by Mr Daverio and team and when we phoned, no-one is informed and they keep telling us that we need to send a reminder?! as they have no access to Mr Daverio team mails which we did. As Mrs Daverio is the secretary, I assume she is too busy replying to simple mail! Avoid if you can- this particular team is not serious

I was in the clinic for a one-day inpatient stay. In addition to the doctor who accompanied me over the last few months, the operation and the care from the staff were very good. Everyone put in a lot of effort and was extremely nice. The day was well structured and you never had the feeling that you were left “alone”. Thanks! The building and the furnishings of the rooms are appropriate. Overall, highly recommended (note: unfortunately not for statutory health insurance patients - only self-payers or privately insured patients).

I had my two reflections today (for the first time) in the catering department. (Endoscopy) I really have to say that everyone was very, very nice and humorous. Everyone took great care. My thanks go to Sister Regina, Sister Michelle and of course to the boss Dr. med.Ulrich P. Baumgarten who was also super funny! P.S. And thank you for the coffee latte when you woke up! :) Simply great! Many greetings, DJ Ratte!

Never go here, Please. Dr. Julia Brzoska promotes in Doctorlib reception of publicly insured patients, but they do not. They have unqualified personal on the front desk unaware fully of regulations. It wasted my time in such a delicate topic. They are another private clinic sustained by marketing.

In a medical context, I have rarely felt treated as well and, above all, with human understanding as I did in gastroenterology at Meoclinic. Prof. Baumgarten is humane and explains the findings in detail and understandably. I'm very grateful.

The Meoclinic is very large and offers doctors for every conceivable specialty. I can only refer to my experiences with orthopedics, anesthesia and bed ward. And here everything was more than satisfactory. The staff is very friendly, approachable and professional. My doctor Prof. Akbar is always approachable and the result after the operation (as of now) is absolutely great and therefore significantly better than expected. Even the food is very good. Unreserved recommendation!

Last year Meoclinic tried to charge me twice for an exam and it took them seven (07) months to have the issue clarifed and their writen apologies sent to me. This time I went there for an appointment, which I fixed six (06) weeks in advance, and they told me I was not in the system. Poor quality of services for the prices they charge.

I had a good experience here in the Pneumologie department. I speak OK German, but prefer to visit the doctor in English, when possible. The doctor, nurses, and staff were very helpful and kind. The tests that I took were more advanced and less cumbersome than what I´m used to at other offices (if you´ve ever taken lung tests before, you know how tiring they can be) here my lung function tests were taken very quickly and efficiently. The doctor listened to my concerns and prescribed me a medicine that I had not yet tried. My asthma is under control for the first time in years thanks to this clinic! They also sent me a refill prescription by mail at no extra cost during COVID so I didn´t need to risk going to the office. I did pay out of pocket for this place because it was excluded from my insurance, but it was 1000% worth the money to be able to breathe better and comfortably, and I wish I had gone sooner. Note - the only negative is that I find the place very confusing to get around. I went up and down the elevator a few times and into a few reception areas before finding the correct wing. Make sure you arrive for your appointment early!

My recent experience at the Meoclinic was very good. Everyone there was friendly and helpful to me. My doctor was Dr. Steiert and she was very nice and professional. Even though my flight was delayed, Dr. Steiert stayed later to accommodate me! I also felt she took my throat pain seriously and did not make me feel incompetent. She also gave me some great advice on how to prevent my condition in the future which I thought was great! After the long day, on my way home, I lost my prescription and they promptly sent me another one with no fuss! I highly recommend this clinic! They were very attentive and overall it was a great experience!!

I visited for dermatologist appointment. The doctor was friendly and soft spoken. But despite not having any other patients, they did not provide me the invoice or accepted my insurance card on the spot (despite me offering). I received the invoice later in post. They have added a service which I am not certain if was provided (Auflichtmikroskopie) but I was definitely not informed that it is not covered by insurance.
