This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. So so fun down, dirty rooms, all lamps broken, electric blinds don’t work, dispensers falling of the wall. The room wasn’t even cleaned leftover candy in the draws etc. also they don’t acknowledge IHG rewards program and try to sell you a different program and get more money out of you. On a positive good location and good breakfast that’s about it. Should be a 2 - 3 star hotel at best

The service is really impressive, very helpful and kind waiters. The view from the 11th floor (the one I stayed) was really nice, also the view from the resturant in the last floor is amazing. The food in the restaurant was decent, the meeting room was well equipped and smoking rooms very well aired. Overall it was a very nice experience, I would also recommend checking the breakfast buffet which is delicious.

The hotel I stayed in not only exceeded expectations with its exceptional service, strategic location, and delightful breakfast but also treated me to breathtaking views. Nestled in a prime location, it offered a panorama that elevated the overall experience. Waking up to the mesmerizing scenery added an extra layer of joy to each morning. Whether it was city lights sparkling in the night or scenic landscapes unfolding during the day, the hotel's great view became an integral part of my stay. It transformed the ordinary moments into extraordinary memories, making my time at the hotel truly unforgettable.

Truly one of the best views I have ever seen! We got some cocktails at the beautiful bar. Also something I found odd is the fact that it was playing Greek music and I loved it because I am from Greece. The price was totally worth it!

Among the dozens of 5-star hotels I've been to in Istanbul, the hotel that can be in the top 3 The staff is experienced, attentive and competent. Foods are good location is perfect I can say that it is the best hotel I can recommend in Istanbul. It is one of the very best hotels. Service, quality, comfort and the taste of the food are all together. Its breakfast, brunch, the bar on the top floor and the magnificent view from the bar to the sky of Istanbul are unquestionably perfect! The spa is also very nice, I would definitely recommend it.

It smells like cigarettes everywhere - in the lobby, in the lounge and even in the spa. Not just a bit of smell, but as if someone were smoking right next to me. The hotel has nice rooms, nice view, great food and really good service , however - the smell of cigarettes gives me headaches and after 30 minutes in the lobby area my clothes and my hair smelled like an ashtray. The staff went above and beyond to try to help us with this issue. Everyone in the hotel was very friendly, understanding and professional. They did everything they could to help us, but unfortunately there is little they can do about how much people smoke around.

From the moment my family stepped into the the Intercontinental Hotel Istanbul, it was evident that we were in for a treat. The professionalism and helpfulness of the hotel staff were immediately noticeable, setting a high standard right from the start. Their attention to detail and eagerness to assist in any way possible made our experience truly memorable. The luxury of the hotel lived up to, and perhaps even exceeded, the high expectations set by my daughter, who described it as the second most magnificent hotel she has ever stayed in. This statement may not speak volumes, as she is only ten years old, but she doew have a taste for fine accommodations. One of the highlights of our stay was being upgraded to a business suite with a stunning sea view. The suite was the epitome of luxury, with elegant furnishings and a breathtaking view that added an extra layer of serenity to our stay. In conclusion, this hotel stands out not just for its luxurious amenities but also for the exceptional service provided by its staff. It's a place where every guest feels valued and pampered. Highly recommended for those seeking a top-tier hospitality experience.

Excellent location, easy to access public transportation and the view is breathtaking. All the staff were very professional and helpful but the staff in club lounge were excellent, the house keeping staff do an excellent job maintaining the rooms. Breakfast buffet was good with huge variety.

Great hotel! Stayed there for a week. The staff was always incredibly kind and prompt to answer my demands. I had the breakfast buffet included which is, I think, a must! Delicious. Also had a wonderful afternoon at the spa providing the turkish bath.

The amenities and staff are fantastic! The rooms are in serious need of an upgrade. Uluc the concierge is top notch! He gave us fantastic restaurant recommendations (and got us a great table as well)! We had trouble with our flights and he spent and hour and a half on the phone with Turkish Airlines to resolve the problem. He really made our time there wonderful!

Decent hotel, good breakfast but a bit outdated rooms. We were also not able to sleep because of the insanely loud music outside (not sure if this dance clubbing music is part of Intercontinental). I had hoped the police would’ve been called by the hotel for such matters. We had to catch and flight the next morning - so for a good night sleep I would recommend another hotel…

Everything was perfect. Great location, nice lobby. Great service and easy access by walking and by car. Valet is available for free. Great value for money considering the star rating and the location I had one note only on the room. The room lacks ceiling lighting / spots. The lighting in the room is mainly from the table lamps around the room. And also it doesn’t have sockets enough for the devices or around the beds Special mention to Mehmet/ Mohamed, at the reception he was very profissional, paid attention to details, very practice and welcoming. Special kudos to him, my dad really liked him Will for sure recommend it if someone wants to stay around Taksim.

I was looking for quality croissant in Istanbul and someone suggested the Intercontinental hotel had the best bakery. The welcome at the front entrance was warm and friendly, the service from the lobby cafe staff was friendly and professional, first class people. However, microwaving a croissant is unforgivable. I hope this message gets through. Please ask guests if they want it heated or fresh. And if you don’t have it fresh, let the guest know it would need to be heated and perhaps best offered as a toasted sandwich option… but absolutely never ever microwave.

Staff was very nice. Lobby is a place to see and be seen. Very nice place to hang out. Rooms are clean, though a bit outdated. I only found 2 plugs available for the room. The big problem though, and why I won't return to the hotel is the very bad windows in the room. They offer no protection from outside noise and makes it very challenging to sleep at night. Especially the nights where the neighboring location has a party. I've attached a video of the noise heard from my room at the 14th floor close to midnight. I don't think the hotel can do anything about it, so I would personally stay somewhere else later or bring good earplugs.

Love this hotel last time I stayed in it was in 2012 and I remembering loving it Came back in 2024 and the service is even better. The location is perfect, rooms are very comfortable but they are a bit old but still extremely comfortable .. staff very attentive Reception were extremely friendly and helpful especially “ Can” who made our check in a breeze. We arrived really early but he did everything he could to check us in 🙏 Room dining service is really quick and the food is so good. The breakfast was good and a lot of varieties Turkish and international food. All in all I don’t think I can stay anywhere else whenever in Istanbul 🩵

Very nice hotel with fantastic views of the water. Huge, tasty variety at the breakfast buffet. Everyone went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect. Victoria in particular made us feel like long time guests.

Must make more money from the nightclub/bar on the ground floor than from its sleeping guests. Also its dancing customers must be coming out of there deaf as I can hear the music from the 17th floor at 1:20 AM just as if it was next next door, no joke… This was already reported by other people and acknowledged by the hotel that said they would look into this… i guess they are still looking into it (and probably also deaf)

The hotel overall is nice, the location is amazing, the food was great but I feel like the rooms can get a little more luxury. The staff are nice and friendly especially the breakfast ones. The sea view is amazing too.

Spa is excellent. Location is great, a few minutes walk to the metro and Taskim square. Room is dated. Badly need new fixture and fittings. LED TV and the variety of channels on offer is impressive.

Nice location if you’re looking for something close to Taksim with the phosphorus view. The view from the rooms is very nice. Although rooms are clean but it needs renovation as soon as possible. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is buffet with variety options. I don’t recommend eating at the restaurant, had dinner once and it was not good unfortunately. They have a nice garden terrace.

Clean and very friendly staff. Great lobby and location. Nuray is an amazing part of their staff! She's friendly, quick, and services you with all her passion.

The hotel has a great entrance - the lobby is set up as a beautiful lounge. The staff welcomed us well on our first day. At the concierge, we were disappointed at first, however, the second time around the staff treated us well and was very helpful with our questions. The staff at the reception is also friendly, but they don’t know much about the city (specifically street addresses), so concierge is your best bet. The breakfast menu was great, and the staff there serving us was also really helpful and quick in their service. Overall, would recommend this place to stay but not as a tourist looking for some help/service.

IHG and Intercontinental should be ashamed of calling this a 5 star property. Rooms are extremely old and outdated, I was 'upgraded', and my room not only has a nasty old carpet but there are only outlets in the room as far away as possible from the bed. And the shower, so badly designed, a tiny tub which leaks water everywhere.

what a fantastic location, views from top floor restaurant/lounge, wonderful pool and great service, particularly the amazing breakfast staff . and then... one steps into their room. an absolute embarrassment for such a brand. the ridiculously soft bed squealed like a pig at the slightest movement. the carpet is a mess with no underlay and the most perplexing undulations of the hard slab underneath. bathrooms cramped and lacked amenities. at this price point, they need to do SO MUCH better

The worst hotel I've ever been in my whole life!! II was on the last floor (18th) for 5 days, and every night there was VERY LOUD MUSIC coming from the club on the rooftop until to 1 a.m. IMPOSSIBLE TO SLEEP. I complained every night at the desk, they told first it was from the outside, then that it was only during the week-end...they never proposed to change my room. Very BAD EXPERIENCE for such an expensive hotel.

Location is busy and hectic and head to get to during traffic but it’s central. Staff is very friendly and nice. Hotel is outdated and old. Has a great outside patio to sit smoke hookah but nothing on the menu tastes great. Also has huge buffet breaks fast with many selections but nothing tastes good really
