On a block where grilled fish stands abound, this street side establishment (with tiny loft seating) truly stands out. A very reasonably-priced fish wrap consists of grilled mackerel meticulously prepared — with bones plucked and skin gently scraped off. Accompanied with salad, pickled onions, sumac and pomegranate seed to cut through the light fish flavor. Together, wrapped in pide bread, brushed with olive oil, then seasoned with quintessential oregano, chili and sumac, later to be crispy grilled — a culinary triumph that is experienced from the very first crunch. More than just a snack, a unique gastronomic opportunity to delve into the Istanbul palate — celebrating the bounty drawn from local seas.

I accidentally stumbled upon this little food stall and had the absolute best fish wrap I've had in my life. Incredibly juicy and flavorful and goes super well with cold ayran (salty yogurt drink) on a hot summer day. They don't have seats, so it might be a good idea to grab it and eat by the water. I would order 2 if you are hungry enough. (As of June 2022, they only take cash.)

The same owner and a staff treated me to a nice meal more than ten years ago at this very spot, and I have returned to see what has changed. They are now serving awesome fish wraps with the same sincere service. The fish is fresh tasting.

We walked pass by and needed to stop because of the good smell and we were happy we did! Very fresh and delicious fish wrap with good service! The wrap was perfectly well-cooked!

The fish wrap is so tasty, and the serving size suited us. We had happy tummies after our lunch here. I tried the pickle juice out of curiosity. It was not for me. It may an acquired taste.

Brilliant fish wrap, very rich in flavours: smokey from the BBQ, freshness from the salad, salty from the fish itself, bitterness from the lemon juice, sweetness from pomegranate syrup, salt, little sugar, pepper. So far the best taste in Istanbul even though for a grown up man I would recommend to buy atleast 2. 90 TRY/each not cheap compared to other food but definitely worth the taste and experience. Quite a long row and you usually have to wait atleast 20minutes.

I had the pleasure of dining at Marmara Balık Dürüm in Kemankeş Karamustafa Paşa, Mumhane Cd. Beyoğlu, Istanbul, and it's no wonder this place is famous and attracts a lot of people. Intrigued by its reputation, I decided to give it a try, and I must say, I was not disappointed. I opted for the plate of fish with rice, and it turned out to be a delightful choice. The fish was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful, and the accompanying rice was perfectly seasoned. Every bite was a burst of delicious flavors that left me craving for more. While I thoroughly enjoyed my plate of fish with rice, I couldn't help but notice the famous fish wrap that many people were enjoying. It's definitely on my list for my next visit, as I'm eager to experience this renowned dish for myself. The restaurant itself had a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. It was bustling with activity, with locals and tourists alike enjoying their meals and creating a lively ambiance. The staff were attentive and provided excellent service, adding to the overall positive dining experience.

We have tried both their durums and the next door's popular ones, where you have to wait in a long queue. No difference at all, though double durum is cheaper here and they have more sitting places. Tasty and simple.
