This place was a little strange at first, but turned out to be great! The lights are low and it doesn't really look like a streak house except for the coal grill in the corner. We managed to order some ham, cheese and olives – that tasted great. The staff didn't really speak English and we didn't speak Spanish, but we still managed to communicate fine. The meat came on a table grill for the table to share. It was super tasty and there were more than plenty.

They got two separate spaces, the bar which has quite nice decoration and the the restaurant, decoration really improvable... As far as the food, they got closed menu available, we took the expensive one (60€/pax) wine aside. The entries were ok, specially the scallop. The T-bone steak had good flavour but it was overcooked, cannot forgive this once you pay this amount... Dessert was good, menu included french toast and it was really tasty. Service efficient and nice staff.

Be weary that this restaurant has two sitting areas. One area has white table cloths that fits a special occasion with fairly steep prices and English menus. There’s also a more rustic bar type sitting area. If you’re looking for tapas and a more casual experience I suggest the later. It felt like a bit of a tourist trap being in the white cloth area. The food was good but there are better food options for lower prices in Bilboa. The service was average for the prices being charged at the restaurant.

Service was unmotivated, incompetent and borderline rude. The food was good but nothing outstanding. Also, be aware that there are two areas in this restaurant. A "bar area" which looks quite nice and a "dinner area" which looks rather depressing as there are no windows at all.

A typical Basque grill restaurant with good wines and great choice of the local food. Thr price is above average but the service is excellent.

Reservation recommended. Very friendly service, authentic basque food with great quality, especially the meat is delicious. I will be back for sure.

Terrible service at pretty much all levels!!! We were 4 but one of us wanted fish so we could not have the menu because all the table has to take it!? I was the only one having wine but there is only one wine by the glass. I also was not told what wine until poured in my glass. Very average. I might have bought a nice bottle had been given a choice! Appetizers are seriously over priced!! So 3 of us decided to have the « rib steak ». So the waiter (who seemed to have a cold) decides that it’s going to be one steak for the 3 of us (supposedly he would put a big one)… no discussion. The steak is served on coals on a mini bbq (cool). This was barely enough for 2. We desperately tried to find all the meat possible with knifes that were really not very sharp. This was supposed to be served with fries and roasted peppers: we got a single regular-sized plate, with both on the same plate, for all three of us. There was way too much salt on the meat (meat was good however). I would have had a second (or third) glass of wine to drown my deception, and dilute the salt, but I was never offered the chance even if I finished my glass with the appetizers. That’s always a sign when they can’t even be bothered to sell you wine. Overall, we had 4 waiters and waitresses come to our table but it really was quite a rough and messy service. The bill was over 250 euros for a very disappointing experience. Obviously, I will never go back.

Very very good! I am here visiting Bilbao and really enjoyed my meal, the atmosphere and the the friendly staff. Hands down best meal I have had in Spain so far! Highly reccomend! Update: Have the cheese cake! If you go to this restaurant and do not have the cheese cake then you have made a terrible mistake

Very good restaurant. Great and welcoming staff, very good quality food and meat. Absolutely loved the meat on the charcoal grill.

Amazing culinary experience in traditional Basque steakhouse

we walked out! We called the waiter 3 times and he ignored us. Maybe because we are foreign or black. Then came the food with 3 little patatoes for us both. we asked if the little bowl was for us both, and they confirmed...nothing like the menu said (each menu comes wirh potatoes and vegetables). prices are also expensive so we expect something decent and not a ripp-off.

Nice and cozy basque restaurant. The beef barbeque is a must!
