Gave us a last minute cancellation but charged the full amount despite website showing different . The bedroom is outdated, no shower gel, shampoo or hand wash provided. The carpet was stained and marked, the bedroom actually smelt very odd and like damp. No head board on any of the beds, the mattress extremely hard and springy! Definitely needs modernising & updating!! However, the staff were friendly & welcoming. The parking is also a nightmare, no parking on site, we had to wait around till 3am until someone had left and we were able to park. The place is a shambles!! Rather pay a little extra and have a decent night sleep and some comfort.

Really disappointed with our visit. Me and my whole family stayed. Staff were extremely rude and wanted to exchange our rooms just so that they could save money without compensating for the price. We were not offered any breakfast even though we paid for it. Receptionist kept on pestering us late at night in our rooms disturbing us from our sleep which made us feel extremely uncomfortable. Staff have no respect for any of their customers as everytime we even walked past a staff member, they would be so disrespectful by being extremely standoffish and telling us off. Will never return again and urge others not to do so either. EDITED REVIEW (OWNER READ THIS PLEASE):- I had to edit my review and add this comment because the owner is claiming that my booking didn't exist. I am reviewing this for my dad and family. Our booking was under the name 'Ajmal Khan'. Hopefully the owner has a reasonable response now rather than being so ignorant.

It has a bar, flat screen TV sky sports clean rooms with facilities. The only thing is it used to do full English breakfast but is now continental due to staff recruitment problems beyond the owner's power. Still breakfast is good with plenty of space. I don't want to praise too highly or I won't get in when I want a room.

Been here a few times in the past and it's been great. This time I'm staying for a few weeks while my new house being done. the staff and owner have helped me loads I would recommend the hotel to anyone and I will definitely be staying here again. Xxx

Nice hotel, convenient for the city. Have used the place over 20 years. Always clean and comfortable rooms. A reasonable price for the area, close to the city, with a frequent bus service on 4 routes into Birmingham. Parking available for a number of cars/vans. Would recommend to anyone...

Positives: staff are friendly and theres plenty of shops near by. Negatives: rooms are seriously tiny and outdated. For cheaper you can go to a travel lodge. Which I would highly recommend. Even on days when its £50 more expensive it would be worth it.

For the price and location perfect for a retreat when seeing an event in town... The staff were fab and made feel so welcome. The residents were very friendly and chatty bring a great atmosphere in the bar.... Rooms very basic but clean and comfortable..

Budget place to stay in Birmingham. Rooms were comfortable and warm, our room smelled a little of cigarettes but they cleaned it for us. Breakfast was very very basic. Over all okay....

Received confirmation that a room was booked to pay at a later date (3 days after booking was made). Later found out after calling in that there wasn't actually a room booked under my partner's name. Now 3 days later she has received a notification that £61.75 was attempted to be taken out of her account when we never even stayed there.

Everything is as needed. Good for work and usual facilities. Tea coffee etc. The owners are really friendly and always helpful 24/7 attended.

Friendly staff with nice large bar area. room nice and large with proper wardrobe. Nice and big shower. Could do with blackout curtains and phone to contact reception if needed and anything. Could improve how to lock room could replace with keycard instead of keys . Could improve on doing your own breakfast all ready have large room to do it in

Won 144 on bandit only paid 77 quid out as guy must of emptied bandit sk you owe me 67 quid and you should pay me it's a machine in hour hotel pay the customer what he is owed its your job to take it up with company, its hour own bandit and your ripping people off, manager say we'll you won last thime u came so your not out of pocket, really is this guy for real stop emptying it as so it can't pay people there winnings quick enough to put Bar shutters up when I won do the right thing and pay me my 67 quid as I'm a good paying customer spent a lot of money on rooms and drinks ect
