Gave the viking 5 stars as we had a good time. food very good, rooms could do with updating although they are clean. Entertainment good, Saturday comedian and singer. Sunday had a good singer but he was on his own and bingo. It does attract a lot of the older generation but that was fine as I'm catching up to them myself.

Pleasantly surprised as some of the reviews put this hotel down, however we found it in a great position (although parking the car was a little tight), our room was a good size and clean the only bad point for us was the mattress was a little too soft & very bouncy (we prefer hard mattress) but that's our personal preference....the food was good and plenty full, good choice at breakfast and at evening meal, dont understand why they've had bad reviews on the food. The staff were friendly, evening entertainment was ok. We visited here this time with other family members and would definitely return back to the hotel. Good Value 👍

Found this little treasure at the last minute and was not disappointed. Food was always hot and fresh and always getting replenished and someone was always checking the temperature of the food. The waiting staff was cleaning the tables straight away and as soon as you walk in they ask if you want tea or coffee. They don't do mushrooms or black pudding but definitely not the end of the world, but did see someone having boiled eggs. Hotel lovely and clean and whilst we was in the room someone came to take our shower head to be cleaned which I was amazed at as most people don't do that at home. Entrainment was brilliant. Buddy Lee and the fabulous Lily were AMAZING 👏

The room was lovley. The staff are so friendly, jolly and like to have a laugh. Dinner service can be slow but to be expected with the amount of people they have to serve. The entertainment is great too. I recommend a stay here if in the area.

Loved this hotel, the service was great and the food was nice. Big plus that it is adults only. It's really close to the fair but down the prom from the centre and the tower but there's a tram stop right opposite with a regular service and just a short ride down to get to the centre of Blackpool and the North Pier area.

We stay Easter weekend. Very disappointed with our stay. The reviews are very misleading. Our room that we paid was not the cheaper room, we stayed for 3 nights it was was very poor. There was mould to shower ceiling, bed very uncomfortable, small room with a double and single bed in. The room we stay was number 106. Next to lift and doors banging. Loads noises from both. Kept us awake all night and a pigeon outside. We approached the reception staff and their answer was we are full as we was mislead to think we booked a seaview room but actually we had to pay an extra £20 per person. We had dinner the first night but the dinning hall was hot and full the tables literally were too close together. We had chicken wrapped in bacon, this was hard the wedges were burnt and veg over cooked. Breakfast is morning was standard. The hotel needs to have a complete refurbishment to bring it up to modern day standards. The price of the rooms were far too much for the standard that they are. This really put a downer on our time at Blackpool due to just being tired and not felt rested. However the weather was nice and we did meet some lovely people. The comedy night and entertainment was very good.

All inclusive weekend, good food, drinks OK but limited choices. Entertainment was exactly as you expect for Blackpool. Hotel could do with a little TLC, but overall an enjoyable couple of days.

Stayed for 2 nights. Friday and Saturday on a bed, breakfast and dinner basis. Really friendly staff on arrival. We were allocated a table in the dining room which would be our table throughout the stay and we were also allocated a table in the show bar for the evening. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Food is excellent. Entertainment was good. We had a fantastic stay and will definitely be going back.

Just done the all inc at the Viking. The room we were in was OK it just need updating but it was clean. The food was nice. A bit disappointed that we had to wait till evening meal for all inc meals but the drinks were flowing from 3pm. The entertainment was great!! Buddy Lee especially. He cracks you up!!! We met some lovely people who had the same sense of humour as us and altogether we had a Brill weekend. Thankyou.

The Viking hotel is perfect for location right opposite the beach close to main shops and fairground, it is a little dated however very clean and fresh rooms, very well run all staff helpful and friendly. Food is excellent wide choice for all types of fussy eaters, salads are fresh and good variety, main meals well made soups delicious homemade, cannot fault the food. Even though there is cabaret on every night we did not hear any music or noise from the evening entertainment ( we go to bed early ) so slept well in comfortable beds.

First time at the viking and we had a blast of a time 2 nights all incusive weekend .The rooms are small and worn but very clean .The food was good and plenty choice .The breakfast had lots of choice and evening meal was hot and fresh cooked with a good choice of 3 mains to choose from .Dinner time was fish chips and peas only complaint was the fish was over cooked . There are plenty choice of the free drinks and not to exspensive just £2 if you want a drink not included in the all inclusive . Entertainment both nights was brilliant great compare and comedians both nights and great singers as well . It is a great idea to have your own table for the meals breakfast and evening meals . And your table is booked for the entertainment in the club both nights All in all we had a great time one of our party was 60 so it was a birthday party of 8 of us with great company good food and drink with clean rooms . We will be back

I love The Viking Hotel, from the bar staff to the Talk of the Coast especially Buddy Lee, he never fails to entertain. Our room was fantastic as always. Thank you. Looking forward to seeing you in 2023.

Just had a 5 day break. Loved everything about it. All staff were spot on. Yes there was a lift not working. But it was manageable. Again it could have been warmer . But didn't stop us from having a great break. Met some lovely people too. Thank you so very much. Entertainment was faultless. Can't wait to go back x

There is no wheelchair access to get into reception and stairs to walk into to the lifts and not working and there's four floors in the building when we booked our rooms they got the booking wrong and the bottom floor was meant to be for somebody with disability and then put them on the fourth floor instead which couldn't be changed until the next day

Great location with free parking. Bathroom could do with an upgrade but the shower was good and powerful. Food was good and staff very friendly and helpful.

Great staff, clean and tidy room, food was fantastic. The entertainment was very good .The only reason for 4 stars is the lift was not working and there was many stairs to climb.

The Viking hotel is not a Hotel!! It's more like a Family Home in the many years I have been staying here the Service and Staff are Bloody Marvelous Now also add the Food which is just out of this World once you stay here you will Never stay anywhere else. Having done my trade as a chef and management I know these places are Very Rare Love Casper xx

Just back from a one night stay here had dinner bed and breakfast included with entertainment. Food was great would highly recommend as was the entertainment at night. But the best part of this hotel is the staff every one did there job great and nothing was ever to much trouble.

The Viking hotel is easy to find and situated right on the sea front, room was clean but looked tatty and the bathroom suite was tiny and in need of TLC. Food was lovely, plenty of choices and service was good. Entertainment was OK... The singers for the Friday and Saturday night were good.... Comedians were a little dated with style of comedy. The bar was reasonably priced with a good selection of beers wines etc and the service was good. Overall the viking is good value for money but the hotel is need of an upgrade

One of the best and reasonably priced hotels I've been in for a very very long time. For the price we paid, we got a hotel literally across the road from the beach, allowing us to wake up and sleep to a beautiful seaside view. Whether you have a sea facing room or not, the lounge, the restaurant and the cafe are all sea facing, so you don't miss out. The restaurant fully cater for all, and if they don't have anything halal, they ensure there's enough vegetarian items on the menu so you don't miss out! The service of the staff in the restaurant was so family like and very very friendly. They really took care of us and made us feel like home. To add to it all, the price was inclusive of evening shows and afternoon bingo games which was brilliant! In case the weather isn't beach worthy, you have other amenities to keep you entertained. Most definitely will come again.
