We were disappointed from the get go, we originally booked the The Galloway for 1 night and were moved to The Adina across the road. The owner wasn't there, she left her poor son in charge and he'd only been there a week and didn't really know much, I felt really sorry for him. The room definitely wasn't worth the £117 we paid. The bathroom was atrocious as the toilet leaked, the mirror was broken, there was dirty water behind the sink taps and the shower barely dribbled. As for the room the bottom bunk bed slats were not attached, the tv bracket was hanging off the wall, there was dirt on the inside of the bedside cabinet, black masking tape around the window, the window wouldn't open unless banged on the frame, water rain down the wall when it rained, also there was no means of escape if there was a fire apart from the front door but we were on the top floor. These premises definitely do not reflect the status as hovel let alone hotel. It should never have been allowed to open without being 100% functional. We will definitely never stay there again and will not be recommending this place to anyone. If I could have given a zero star I would have done so.

Would have to pay me to stay here again. We had a double room and a family room, both equally as bad as each other. Double room had a sink that for reasons not known to me had been painted. Parts of some walls had wallpaper on and everything looked like it had several licks of paint. Both rooms had residential flies, don't think the flies were paying to stay though. Bed was uncomfortable and unlevel so felt like you were sleeping on a hill, pillows might as well of not existed. The "furniture" in the room looks like it was pulled from a skip and painted with several coats of gloss type paint. Windows must be the original windows from when the property was built. Woke up in the middle of the night to find a cockroach climbing the wall beside my head. The lock on the toilet door was a outside gate lock. The walls are paper thin, you can hear everything. We paid over £200 for two nights for 4 adults and 5 kids, not sure if this is classed as cheap but I wouldn't stay here again even if it was free. Some tips if you do decide to stay. Bring your own; Pillows, blankets, sheets. Ideally bring a mattress with you Water Fly spray Curtains Ear defenders Keep clothes locked away and off the floor to avoid unwanted "guests" Walk on the road when in the street as the pavement is piled with dog waste. Have fun!

For a cheap hotel in grand theft scam after scam CON-nonce-ative GB this is good for what it is. Excellent bed. Few facilities like coffe etc and a roof for the night.

The room was cold and very basic no handle on window, so you couldn't close it, no hot water in room sink was painted with white gloss. You have to share toilet and shower in hallway. Tiles broken on front steps as you go into the hotel, which is very dangerous when it rains, as they are very slippery NO disability equipment. They don't serve any food at all, you can't take any food in (supper ie... pizza or kebab anything else) when you come bk in from a night out.

Booked a room here for a stag do so didn't expect much, we turned up at 3pm check in to a grim hallway that was filthy and stunk. no one there apart from the few dodgy looking fellas selling stuff on the wall at the front. We rang the number and the fella seemed surprised we were checking in as he wasn't there. All of a sudden a different fella in a tracksuit and flipflops ushered us to his hotel across the road (the Adina) I cannot describe the disappointment when I walked into our room. Im quite certain someone was living in our room by the smell and I wasn't keen on the tobacco and skin flakes in my bed. Don't forget the sock over the fire alarm and no running hot water so expect cold showers. With the ceiling caving in in the vile shared bathroom. Absolutely do anything in your power to avoid either of these hotels unless you enjoy a view of boarded up windows smashed up cars and drug dealers in the morning. Absolutely disgusting place

Stayed here last night and was nervous about coming here as previous reviews were not good but I can honestly say I was amazed at how clean and tidy it was, the room was included with free tea & coffee and had exceptionally comfy clean beds. Fresh towels provided. Me & my friends chilled a small £20 each for this room and I thought that was exeptionally cheap for the service provided. Hats off to the Galloway, cheers

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! The absolute worst hotel I have ever seen. The carpets were filthy and it smelt dirty. No linen on beds provided and holes in the ceiling. Curtains were also pulled off the walls. When we returned to our room to collect our belongings to switch to the new hotel our room for was open and lights were on!! Someone had clearly been in there. Paid £100 for this but as it was so bad we had to book somewhere else and no refund given.

A basic clean place, friendly people running it just a block away from the promenade. If you just want a bed for the night this is a good option.

Never stay here. We paid 200 pound for a family of 5. There was 7 beds in our very small family room, it was very dirty and clostrophobic. There was one toilet for the whole place with no lock and no toilet paper. It has totally ruined our stay in Blackpool

The room was refurbished yes, but stains on the quilt, open popcorn pack with popcorn all over the floor behind the bed. Shower unusable, no one wants a shared bathroom these days, people aren't as hygienic as others. Window wouldn't shut. I'd prob say stick to your known hotels etc Travelodge...

It was not just poor it was Very Very POOR - POOR in capital letters! The whole place was a complete mess - smelly, untidy and full of moulds! We were given a double room fit for single! The water in the wash hand basin in the room was having a strong odour. Also, there was a lot of disturbance with no privacy because we kept on having unknown people struggling with our door handle for reasons best known to them. Furthermore the bed sheet was full of stains which showed it wasn't changed, we have to get them to replace it! Because of all the above, we were forced to check out the next day forfeiting three days money we paid! It is my considered opinion The Galloway is not fit a place for my pet dog Jack! Mercy.
